U-Haul of Neptune Beach

Yesterday we rented a car carrier from Cedric at Uhaul Neptune Beach for my family’s move to Vermont. From booking to rental to hooking up to our truck and finally guiding us to loading our little VW on the trailer; Cedric’s skills and assistance gave the support and confidence we needed to relax and enjoy this move fearlessly. Staff was kind of unfriendly towards us. After all, they had us pay for extra gasoline even though we refilled it again. You should definitely document the fuel gauge at the beginning and the End

I have used this location three times now and it is consistently a great experience every time. My most recent visit I rented a trailer and upon hooking it up we found that the lights didn’t work. They helped me troubleshoot my issue and, after a quick stop at Auto Zone, I was ready to go. I have nothing but fantastic things to say about every employee I have ever interacted with at this location. This will alway be my go-to spot whenever I need a trailer!

Came in to check on my reservation and to pick up a few more boxes. Mathew and the other associate where very helpful and able to find exacty what I needed for my move. I would use this store and uhaul again.

The staff at this location was very helpful! We made a mistake on the size of truck but they helped with a bigger truck with no hesitation. We were in and out in no time!

Was misquoted on labor for a hitch and wiring harness installation. When I booked the appointment and when I arrived I made it clear that I did not have a ride and my six-year-old daughter was with me. This is also why I booked the earliest appointment for when their mechanic arrives. This was no big deal because we walked down to Neptune Beach and ate lunch and took care of some other things. After about two hours I tried to call the shop a multiple times to check on the status of the install and could not get anyone to answer the phone. Still no big deal. However after walking back over two hours later the guy who is supposed to be working on my car calls to inform me that it is going to cost another hour of labor. Oh and he hasn’t even started my car yet. No apology or anything. He actually says “well we don’t have a waiting room so I don’t know why someone would be waiting”. Save yours of and go to Cannons.

Total bait and switch with the rate quote. Rented a truck for 2 days and returned more than a day early. Was quoted $19.95 for 24hr rental and 100 miles free and. 29cent/mile afterwards. With the 24hr and mileage used it equated to just over a hundred dollars which is very reasonable. However, after returning the truck early and using the exact amount of mileage they required i "guesstimate" i was charged over $300. After hours of waiting on hold on several occasions only to have the automated call back hang up on the me three times i was eventually (hours later) blessed with an actual human being. The representative was unable to explain the overage and transferred me to a " Manager". After another 30 minute wait i was greeted by Rebbeca. After explaining the situation i was told "these are valid charges and we actually saved you $49". I explained i never received a contract agreement in person nor through email.
Condescendingly, Rebecca replied
" would you like me to send it to you through email? "
Again, i told her i haven't gotten anything through email from U-haul thus far and isn't it a little late to receive a contract after the fact? She repeated the whole it's a valid charge and asked " is there anything else i can help you with? " So, to sum it all up i was charged $305 to rent a truck that was returned early and had less miles than was estimated. I can't say it is this particular location but rather U-haul as a company to blame. They will hide charges and will not or cannot explain them. Please be aware before you sign that small digital screen and don't have the opportunity to see or read an actual contract.

One of the best places to rent from or drop off. Very professional, kind, and helpful staff! I called with an issue and it was resolved quickly. Thank you for all your help!

Had a hitch install reservation at 8am 5/9. Hitch did not arrive until later in the day. They offered to install days after I had a need for it because other customers had reservations. You would think they would give me priority since I had a reservation that they could not meet.

Update on 5/10: They definitely made it right. Called me back at night on 5/9 and made arrangements for me to get installed 8: 30am next day. Was there at 8: 30, all done by 9am. Thank you U Haul for the help in responding to my need and making it right!

Tracy the manager is an absolute nightmare of a human being. They cancelled our moving truck twice because they don’t know how to properly book trucks, sent us thirty minutes out of our way and she started yelling at us because of their mistake. Absolutely the trashiest customer service there is. Avoid at all costs.

Made an appointment to get a hitch installed.
They gave me a 10 am. Arrived on time the guy at the desk told me the installer doesn't get here until 11. I asked why they would give me an appointment at 10 if the worker doesn't get here until 11. He said it's first come first serve facility. Pathetic way of doing business

They are so kind, smart and make you laugh. Moving is stressful from Florida to Boston. Maryland to Florida.

What a joke! Need a new hitch installed? Go anywhere else but here! Complete waste of time!

Always pleasure doing business with this U-haul shop. Busy but efficient. Get things done every time when we need them.

Tracy was very helpful in getting my truck hitches installed. The communication was good and if I had any issues, they did their best to resolve them.

I have used this U-Haul location many times for a variety of different products and services and have never been anything but pleasantly satisfied. Tracy the general manager and her entire crew are true professionals. I would recommend this U-haul location and staff over any other provider hands down. Thanks Tracy and all the Neptune Beach U-haul staff for always taking such great care of myself and our community especially during these crazy times.

Rented a trailer online and picked it up on a Saturday. It was very quick and the staff is very helpful. My drop-off took about two minutes and I was on my way. I've had some bad experiences at Uhaul before but not at Neptune Beach. I always return to this one to rent trucks and trailers - highly recommend!
