The two women working the desk inside are AMAZING! They are very helpful, friendly and courteous! Rented a trailer for 24hrs and returned in less than 20hrs. Was charged $300+ for not returning the trailer. What makes it so unbelievable was that one of the employees that unhooked the trailer from my vehicle, was the MANAGER! SHE did not check my trailer in and charged me after 6 days later!
Everything seems a bit chaotic at this U-Haul location. I understand they have rotating clientele and they stay busy but that is no excuse for being overcharged for a rental that was returned the next day. Their manager neglected to properly scan in our rental thus giving us a $300 deduction from our checking account and that's not cool. Do your job right do it effectively and don't cause people any more grief than what may already be in their lives. Big shout out to the two ladies in the front though that we're very understanding and helped us sort out the ordeal
They need employees.
I've been waiting in a line for ever and there is one person working and she's elderly.
I'm never coming here again and this company is just as bad as any other company that doesn't keep or get new employees, a disorganized corporate joke.
Storage unit areas looked pretty good and clean, didn't have any interaction with any of the staff at this time.
Had to wait to be waited on but staff was all busy with customers so was understandable. We didn't have a reservation. There was a glitch in the computer system once we were waited on but staff was diligent in getting us processed & on our way. We only needed the open trailer for a few hours to transport lumber & the return was quick & uneventful. We've used Uhaul before & always been satisfied with their service.
General manager was no help in finding a truck that I had reserved for a week when I went to pick up truck they did not have one. What is the use of a reservation
The staff is kind and as efficient as humanly possible. They are humans dealing with other humans, so sometimes there will be a delay because a customer has to split a transaction across multiple cities and multiple payment methods. There won't be employees ignoring you to chatter or take a break. They are a little under staffed, but so is everyone this summer in Florida.
We had a trailer hitch installation (which was timely and correctly done). In the waiting area, I got to watch lots of staff and customer interactions, and I think U-haul corporate would have been pleased with every one of them.
I unfortunately have to come to this location alot. This location has to be the worst. Horrible customer service. One employee stays on her phone more then the computer. They always say the system is slow or down but when you type one key at a time of course it's gonna be slow. My last visit I stood 45 minutes just to purchase boxes. If I could give zero stars I would.
Not happy with them at all. Tried to call 2 days before I made the 8 hr trip there to tend to some business. I literally was on hold for 2hrs and 45 min. I deliberately time it AND I never did get an answer. Called the headquarters to report this, of course she apologized and mailed the manager of this complaint and gave him my number to return my call and he never did.
Worst experience ever! Made an appointment to have a hitch installed and showed up only to be told that they don't have the part. Twenty days later, still no part. No communication! Do not take your vehicle there for a hitch! Very incompetent manager!
My father and I made 2 appointments for hitches to be installed on our vehicles today. One appointment was for 9 AM and the other for 10: 30 AM. Being from out of town and from another county, we also coordinated these appointments with other business we had in Panama City. UHaul lost one of the appointments and failed to have the necessary parts to install the hitch for the appointment that was on the books.
Had we not called to confirm one last time, We would have taken both vehicles for nothing. We are very disappointed in their incompetence and are now looking for a competitor to do the work. If you schedule an appointment with these people for hitch installation, better check, double check, and maybe tripple check to be sure they still have you scheduled and have the parts they need.
