UCF Campus Bookstore & Foxtail Coffee Co. Cafe reviews
18Decided to try this place out for the first time and ordered their iced latte made with almond milk. I was not disappointed! As soon as I walked in, I was immediately pleased and impressed by the chill, hip, and trendy atmosphere & vibe this place had. Absolutely loved it! They have a lot of neat merchandise as well! The employees and baristas there were also SO friendly and a pleasure to talk to:) The customer service was impeccable. Had my drink within 5 minutes despite there also being several other people in line. I can tell the management here are doing things the right way. Also, they have a pretty good selection for pastries and other food & drink items a typical coffee shop would have. Out of all of the places you can go for coffee on campus, I think this place is the best. They have my business as a returning and loyal customer. This place makes me want to become even more of a coffee lover than I already am. Lol. I am definitely coming back here when I feel like going to grab a coffee on campus.
This is THE place for UCF gear anywhere. And sadly, it is the MOST DIFFICULT place to get to. I am always amazed at how UCF makes it so hard for fans to get team gear. Why is that? Why hasn't the university at least provided a few free 30 minute parking spaces in which the receipt would give someone a code to use to validate they purchased something? Or at least went into the store.
As far as a store is concerned, it is 5 STAR no doubt. Great selections. Pretty expensive (sadly) but you just can't find this selection ANYWHERE else. Too bad.
They charged me the price of a new book that had stickers clearly indicating it had been used. I asked the cashier to charge me for a used book, she said it was in "like-new condition" and charged me full price. The conversation was like Bernie Mac's scene in Transformers.
If you can buy books off-campus, these used car salesman will get every nickle and dime from you wherever they can.
At least they were friendly?
The book store scammed me, went against their own rental policy, and then was extremely disrespectful when I asked for an explanation. When I respectfully spoke to a manager, instead of apologizing for her employees mistake or fixing the issue she belittled me. It is a sad case when a school bookstore is scamming their own students.
This is the worst coffee I’ve ever had in my entire life. The French press was so bad I went home sick.
I hate it.
*Edit* Einstein Bros.was closed so I decided to give Foxtail another chance. I still hate it! The coffee refills cost about sixty cents more than Einstein, for WORSE coffee. It was sour, watery and there were dark brown bits floating in it, probably from the coffee maker not being cleaned enough. I didn’t even finish drinking it. Disgusting.
I’m never going to purchase from this bookstore again. I took a month long class and accidentally purchased an extra access code. Well they only give you one week to return which certainly is not enough time. Access codes and text books are not cheap. It is already expensive enough to go to school. Next time I will purchase from elsewhere. I’m disappointed in this book store. Over priced and rude
I understand that when you purchase a textbook from the bookstore and do a buy back, you are not going to get the same amount of money back. However, the girl at the front Destiny was rude and had major attitude. Will not be returning on account of her.
It's a nice and quiet place to hang with your friends, study, or to eat and you will not be bothered at all!
They help fast and efficiently. If they do not have the answers they send you to who they know do. I will continue to use the store.
It's a university bookstore that contains all the essential books a student would need for the courses they are taking. They also sell a variety of UCF merchandise along with top selling literature. There is a nice café inside as well to sit, drink coffee, and read. Staff is friendly and helpful. They will do their best to find the books you need for your course.
I like to go here to get my Starbucks coffee. However, they do not accept the Starbucks card nor Starbucks gift cards.
There are books. Some are cheap. Some are expensive.
There are shirt. None are cheap.
All are expensive.
There is coffee. Unknown if cheap.
Probably expensive.
There are knick knacks.
Hopefully cheap.
A lot of prices are hiked up too much, if you want to save money I'd check into other textbook or ucf clothing stores.
B&N are not overpriced, they price match. It is a great place to be, to study and to have a cup of coffee. They have a great selection of books, school supplies.
Centrally located, good selection of books food etc and prices are comparable to other university book stores.
Very convenient location, has items one might need for a class, food, UCF products, and a coffee shop inside as well
The Bookstore is a great place to study if the library just feels a little too quiet for you. It can be a little packed some times so there might not always be seating though.
Didn't use an access code for class, had receipt, booklet was still sealed, wouldn't take it back because it was past due date so i tried to buy it back, would only get $5 for a $75. NO THANKS. Stupid policies, and it's a shame, I really like the friendly cashiers and the cafe.
