3 My intern was wonderful. The Director is not. I've never had such a curt experience over a time mix-up in my life, and I'm well acquainted with therapy. It wasn't that serious. At a time when I need support the most, the supervisor was tone deaf.
I do not recommend this program to people needing free therapy. I'm sure this isn't representative of the entire department, but unfortunately, first impressions matter. Go to Duke University for a similar program, where they will truly take care of you!
Counselor did not want to treat me once I refused my sessions to be recorded for her schooling. She just told me to read a self help book. It happened years ago but I still remember it. I needed help but theu rejected me. I ended up dropping out and eneded up getting human trafficked. My life is better now. My experience with those counselors made me distrust therapy. If you are struggling, don't give up if these self serving people don't help you.
I’m a student at UCF and CAPS provided great service. They paired me with an awesome counselor and I really benefited from my time there. Would recommend!
