UF Health Endocrinology – Emerson reviews
6Dr. Chehade is professional and caring. His Dr shadowing him was professional and listening to my long medical list of medical issues. Dr. Chehade listened again.not rushing me. He didn't want to miss anything. He changed my meds and it actually fixed most of my issues with my thyroid. I really liked my other Dr, but Dr Chehade had a better plan for me. He sees other family members that I referred and love him! His staff ROCKS! They are listening to the patient and doing all they can do to help within their Powers! ️
I have been using this practice for the past few years and have to say my experience has always been positive. Dr. Chehade has always taken time to explain my lab results and listen to my opinions and requests. He has been far more informative and engaging than the previous provider who was on my plan. My frustrations related to my care are the hurdles related to insurance and their associated billers/suppliers.
2 months to get an 15 minute appointment, go get labs off site, wait one month for a follow up which was cancelled by them the day before due to weather. Now I have to wait nearly two more months for the appointment they cancelled. God help me if the labs aren't any good by then. Listen to my warning and request a referral to any other endo shop in town.
E. IF this was just a hurricane response I'd understand. But twice now I've had appointments cancelled and was re prioritized to the bottom of the list meaning "appointments as-available". First was the office's own scheduling conflict, second was the storm. Why would you cancel someone's appointment and then put them at the bottom of the list to reschedule? They should be at the top. By the second visit it will be nearly 5 months since initial contact and a total of 15 minutes face time with a doctor. I'm active duty military so I'm used to hurry up and wait but this is just aggravating.
This place, supposedly specialists do not even draw their own blood. They send you to sit with the people getting probation drug screens because they are probably the only specialist office on the planet that can't be bothered to draw blood.
If you need a good doctor, I'm sure the doctors here are competent enough. But remember that you won't see an endo without needing bloodwork. Apparently they never bothered to consider that extremely basic fact.
Avoid this place until they at least try to join the 20th century (definitely won't hold my breath for the 21st)!
My mom has been waiting 90 minutes in the waiting area and still hasn't been seen yet. She was at her appt 10 minutes early and an hour and thirty minutes later she is still waiting. This place is horrible and I dread every appt.
