UF Health ENT and Allergy - The Oaks, Gainesville FL

DO NOT COME HERE AT ALL COSTS THEY WILL DESTROY YOUR EARS. I had a ruptured ear drum and had it "repaired" here. Ever since then I've had a blockage in my eustachian tube that will not unblock itself. I told the doctor about my problems and he just ignored my concerns. Come here if you want to be in pain for the rest of your life and get gaslit by doctors. The doctor himself said there is still a hole in my ear but he can't see it so he's not going to do anything about it. I AM STILL IN PAIN JERK. I'm so devastated I can never wear earbuds again because of the nightmarish squeaking always happening in my ear. Its horrendous. THIS OFFICE IS HORRENDOUS DO NOT COME HERE.

Heres a update about what happened to my loved one.

The last letter from The Shands Patient Advocate dept sent me said they were "sorry I was unhappy about how the patient was treated! "
The Patient died and this is how they handle this.
There is always a root cause and hospitals can learn what went wrong if they try.

I asked to meet with the staff in person about this. If the opererating doctor and no one knows went wrong, then why keep doing these tympanoplasties on people who can suffer catastrophic situations? Don't you have a video of the surgery or some way to back track. Don't you even care?
You will be convinced your're in good hands but do get second opions from facilities other than teaching hospitals. If you love someone, do this. IT COULD SAVE THEIR LIFE

They are so booked that you have to make an apt for 5-6 months out, and after waiting 5-6 months they call you 2 weeks before your scheduled apt and tell you they have to cancel and do not know when they can reschedule you. UF healthcare is a total joke. When they do see you, they are somewhat sexist and will tell you that your symptoms are related to your makeup, and not actually listen to any of your complaints or care. They are a teaching hospital where 5 people will poke and prod you and then not give you any help or solutions to resolve your issues.

These folk are awesome, Jeb Mahan Justice, MD And Jeffrey Johnson, MD removed a mass, removed nasal polyps and repaired my deviated septum. Justice has preformed over 4k surgery's in 11 years and never killed a patient. I can breathe almost normal through my nose for the first time in my life, I am still healing and it should only get better. 1000% RECCOMMENDED

Highly recommend you choose another physician office. Informed Dr.of my work place not being sanitary while still recovery from a procedure. Still sent me to work. Still left packing in ear from surgery! Find a different Dr! I WILL NEVER RETURN HERE! I am done with all UF Health offices.

If you have PTSD or anxiety, this may not be the location (Oaks Mall) for you. As for the Dr, IDK tried to see him 2x. Failed each time. Won't be rescheduling.

Next to the kids' play area, the waiting room walls are glass & there are noisy banging sounding toys in the waiting & in the outside play area. I was not the only patient struggling to decifer if the sounds were "play" or a mass shooting. Not great for the mental health.
My experience:
1st appt I was late & called the office for instructions. I arrived within the time frame given, but while standing in office at their counter, they refused to treat me & rescheduled me. I waited a month to get the first one & now another week.
2nd appointment I arrived early. Once in the exam room, I was told the Dr. Had an emergency & hadn't returned to the office & failed to provide an ETA for his staff (wished I would've known that prior to leaving the house.) I advised I had other appts later in the day & waited an hour until I had to leave.
I did not reschedule.
Now, when I look in My Chart, it shows I canceled 2 appointments the same day. I hope this doesn't affect my future medical treatment negatively.

This place doesn’t even deserve ONE star! THE ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! I have never been to a doctor office that was this unprofessional! The doctors and staff need to honestly learn to take care of their clients. Not leave them waiting for 3 hours just to be seen by the doctor!
