The doctors and their staff members are very professional, knowledgeable, kind and courteous. I recommend UF Health Shands to anyone that needs/or wants a second opinion or need better Healthcare. They saved my life God's blessings to everyone doctors, nurses, hospitals staff, everyone that was involved in my health situation and my aftercare as well. I had the best experience with my hip replacement. Everyone on the team was awesome, and Dr Parvataneni is simply the best.
I wish he wasn’t leaving UF but I wish him all the best. He did such a wonderful job for me, and I am so grateful.

I saw Dr. Herman and then Dr. Zaremski (for a second opinion) following a fall from a dock that resulted in hip pain 3 years ago. Herman misdiagnosed me with a back issue without an MRI confirming it. Zaremski misdiagnosed me with a psychological disorder that was perpetuating my pain because the MRI was negative. I kept going to PT on and off as my pain flared throughout the 3 years. Fortunately, I moved to Knoxville, TN and ended up in the office of an orthopedic surgeon who listened to my symptoms. He ordered a high resolution MRI and turns out I have a torn labrum. I have since had a hip arthroscopy to repair the damage. But because of the misdiagnoses from UF OSMI that delayed proper intervention, I had more damage and an arthritic joint. Go outside of Gainesville for your healthcare. I graduated from UF but just because something has the UF name on it doesn’t mean it’s accurate. Had I not moved to a new city and sought out my own care outside of UF OSMI, I cannot imagine where I would be.

So patients with serious mobility issues have to park HERE at the UF Sports Medicine facility off of Hull Road. Many patients take up two spots because the spots are so small. Trying to park and get out of my car made me late to my appointment which elevated my blood pressure. This gave a false reading at my pre-op. UF administrators need to fix this asap.

Brought my husband in to move forward with knee surgery, while we loved the providers, I am not impressed with the surgery scheduler! It has been 3 weeks and 4 messages have been left and still No phone call? Sorry but I worked for many surgeons, I would have been fired if I didn't contact patients to schedule immediately, or at least reach out to let us know you are working on it! Giving it until Monday and then will find another Dr. Sad that Dr's here in Gainesville do not care about their patients.

UF Orthopaedics has been wonderful to my family. I have two boys who underwent surgery for their torn discoid meniscus and ACL. The staff not only educated us in detail -What to expect before and after surgery. They were also very empathetic with answering all our concerns. Dr Mosar and staff are amazing! Thank you.

My son broke his arm and we went to the Peds Ortho After hours and the staff was fantastic and made his tears turn into smiles. Thank you for taking great care of us!

I have been here for a very complex heel fracture. I have gone through the whole surgical process here (diagnose with CT, pre-op appointment, surgery, post-op appointments). All in all I can just say that Dr. Krupko did an insane job. Although I had a very bad fracture where a good surgical result is unlikely, he was able to repair the foot so well that I do not have big problems anymore. Also, he and his team are very good physicians, they took a lot of time, were super empathic and explained everything to me in a way so that I can understand what they are doing. I can definitely recommend Dr. Krupko and his team to everyone and I'm so thankful for the treatment I got.

Normally I would give them a great review. I will not be returning here ever again! Its very clear to me that all they want is your money! The PA we had was extremely rude and condescending! We went there fir a nuscke injury. They send you to x rays for a muscle injury and you tell you insurance wont approve an mri unless you have an xray first. Then you get the xray and they tell you they don't see anything wrong so no mri will be done. It's a muscle injury of course you won't see anything with an xray. First of all you sent us for an xray before even examining my daughter. I'm pretty sure that right there is insurance fraud! You used to have the best reputation. UF it's apparent that your number one concern is money not care. Shameful! If you cared someone would have called me after I did your survey and gave you the worst rating ever.

While I love UF Orthopaedics, the wait times for appointments is off the charts. I am a recurring patient that needs steroid shots a few times a year in my hand. Typically 2-4 weeks is the wait, but when I called today, the first appointment available is 8 weeks out? !?:/ That is a long time to be in pain.

My physical therapist is excellent. Every time I go, i learn more and more. My knee and back have greatly improved. P/T only works if you practice the prescribed exercises daily. Yes, I wrote daily because once in a won't help.

Absolutely horrific experience for me yesterday (october 2nd 2022). I went in and was checked in at 5: 50pm as a walk-in to get some help for the excruciating pain I am dealing with in my left knee. I was expecting a wait to a certain degree, but I ended being there until 9pm (3 hours later). I sat in the waiting room for over an hour and a half, then was ushered into an xray waiting room and given an xray (that I did not ask for or need, I have ligament damage in my knee not any type of bone break and I said this from the second I walked up to the front desk). After waiting another hour after the xray, I was then put into an actual examination room, where I waited another half hour. Finally, a nurse came in and did a couple tests on my knee (put me into a whole new world of pain but I understand those are needed) and then left (maybe 2 total minutes) after confirming to me that yes, what I thought the issue was (LCL damage) was in fact most likely the issue. After another 10 minute wait, Doctor Smith finally came in to look at my leg. He spent (I am not exaggerating or being dramatic) a grand total of 90 seconds looking at my knee. Never asked me any real questions about the pain or its location. The most he asked was "So I see you can get around on your knee fairly fine? " (I don't have crutches or a knee brace and was waiting for this appointment to see if I really needed them and could get some sort of discount buying them with a script from the doctor, so i've been limping around on my knee). I responded "Well, yes. With an incredible amount of pain, but yea I can get around okay on it" and that was the end of the discussion. After moving my knee around even more and causing me even more pain, he told me that I would have an MRI scheduled. For Saturday. 6 days later. And then immediately said I was good to leave. I was made to wait for THREE HOURS to be told I needed an MRI scheduled (which I already knew and made clear from the start) and be put in incredible amounts of pain and wasn't even given a script for 1000mg ibuprofen when I asked for it (I did not ask once for anything stronger, I try to stay away from painkillers at all costs). I have cried a grand total of three times in my life from physical injury pain. When I broke my back, when I tore my ACL and yesterday on the elevator riding down after my appointment. I have never been so incredibly hurt, disappointed and insulted by a trip to the doctor as I was yesterday. There was seemingly zero care or effort given by anyone (even the xray technician was rude, saying I "should find a new hobby" after I explained to her how I hurt my knee). I am by no means expecting perfect service or zero wait time, but I was expecting to get at least some sort of answers, some sympathy and maybe a little bit of relief. Instead I got absolutely nothing except pain, frustration and more unease and unrest about my physical condition. I would highly highly HIGHLY recommend you search around for other options before going here. The only reason I came here was because they were open on Sunday and covered under my insurance. I needed medical attention and I got absolutely nothing. If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely horrible experience. I'm going to be making a complaint to higher ups as well if possible.

Staff, not only addressed my broken elbow, but when I was at the surgery center, they listened to, validated, and talked me through my fear of the nerve block. The staff made the entire process leading up to going into the or a relaxed environment. I appreciate them greatly.

Caring & professional staff & dr myers is great. Dr myers did my knee replacement, I would recommend anyone see him for knee issues. Everyone I came in contact with were kind & seemed caring. Had no problems with scheduling, call backs or any other phone contact. I moved through the needed x-rays, preop & all appointments in a very timely manner. Great place
