Their billing and coding department really know how to empty your purse out completely! Got charged for flu vaccine 5 times more than regular price. Never had problem before anywhere else and had complete trust in UF Health till now. Even united health paid $50 for flu vaccine after that I got balance for $71. Because of $90 administration fee and $36 flu vaccine? Took my whole family of 4 there.contacted office administration, billing, coding department several time but none of them willing to fix anything. Explanation I got was because of my insurance they charged total 380 some dollars. Got 50 from insurance and want 71 from me? If I don’t have insurance it’s only 10 for kids and 60 for adult because they use different supply of vaccination for insured and non insured. Being a nurse myself it’s not making any sense to me anyway! Called insurance and informed vaccination generally covered because they pay 50 each vaccine. Never imagined office could trick people with their coding scam and spike up this much for just flu vaccine. Heard about double dip this is just way extreme! Very disappointed! Because I trusted and took my whole family there just like I took them before in 2020 with other uf location and never got any extra charge after appointment. Hopefully someone conduct this right! Very unfair treatment! Till then I am going somewhere else where I could save my mental peace, health, wealth, energy and time. Will update all bills I got here with explanation of charges. Not a good felling to spend time fussing about care that they already got double pay from my insurance and want me to pay again 3 times the original cost for same service more? Even though you asked insurance cover for this? They will say yes but will not say how much they are going to charge for? People learn from this. Don’t go there where they are ready to get your hard earned money with their coding billing game. There are so many other place that can treat you better in Gainesville. Do little more research before you step on there again.
