As we were spending a week in Fort Lauderdale we decided to find a shop to service our gear. Happened on Underseas Sports solely because they were on the route to our condo! So glad we did! Great service and a friendly welcome. Hopefully we can do more business with them in the future.

Had an amazing experience during my open water diver course. Hugh was an excellent instructor, definitely the best in the business.

High-quality, one-stop shop that puts customers 1st. They invest time in their customers by talking to you about what you need or just about diving in general. They're not like some places where you feel like you're bothering the staff & they don't have time to deal with you unless you're standing at the cash register!

Wow, this crew was top notch. I had an o-ring failure on my computer, and they had my comp cleaned, battery switched, new door all in 10 minutes. PLUS, I never once felt like an idiot with all the questions I was throwing out there. I will be using them for all my Florida diving needs going forward!

Hugh and Matt are always of great assistance with fixing my gear and making sure my tanks are filled in time for my dives.

I had called a bunch of dive shops in the area and Hugh really impressed me, he went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. The next time I’m diving here I will definitely call Underseas sports first.

I've been going to Underseas Sports for 30 years. I got certified there when I was 14 and now, as a parent, have entrusted Matt and Hugh with instructing and gearing up all my kids. The kids love it and it's been an amazing family activity. I've always been impressed with the high degree of integrity and service. Looking forward to many more years to come!

Super glad we found this place! Rented snorkel gear for both of us, dive flags, a nd was given great tips from the shop team on where to go in the area for the best viewing/parking and even where to eat. The gear was well maintained, felt safe, and really loved the quality of the flippers. Saw a few sharks and turtles at the spot they recommended and will definitely be back to rent again from here next trip. Super affordable and we were able to hold the rentals for 24 hours so tons of water time. LOVED the t's in the shop and other gear as well- great selection and very knowledgeable staff!

Hue is the WORST employee/trainer whatever! That guy is a loose cannon. Was yelling at people for no reason, zero patience, then acts like nothing happened. Unbelievable they tolerate an employee that treats people that way!

I could not possibly give a higher recommendation of Hugh at Underseas Sports. I found Hugh through a friend from Lauderdale who has been using the shop for years. When I was put into contact with Hugh he was immediately extremely nice, helpful, and informative. I told him that I’d be working with a limited window between the end of school and the start of my summer job and he worked around my schedule which was extremely helpful. I flew down from New York for a few days to do my Open Water certification and Hugh made sure I had all the necessary material and info to complete as much of the in class portion at home before coming down. He was super engaging and personable the entire time I worked with him. If you want the kind of instructor to work with you 1 on 1 and has a great deal of patience, Hugh is your guy. He had a fantastic teaching style and was incredibly patient with me while I was learning. He put my nerves at ease before my open water dives and I was extremely confident in his ability to not only get me through the dives, but to make sure that I’d be comfortable diving on my own. As Hugh told me, 70% of certified divers never dive again because they don’t feel confident in their training. I can’t wait to get back home and do some local reef dives. Hugh helped me build the necessary skills to really feel comfortable while diving in only a few short days. He even squeezed me in on the afternoon before my flight home to complete my nitrox certification. Once again, couldn’t possibly give a higher recommendation of Hugh and the guys over at Underseas sports!

I just completed my advanced adventurer and nitrox certs with Undersea Sports, and was incredibly impressed with how professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with all of the staff are! I came from out of town, and Hugh worked to set up all of my dives so they worked with my schedule, which I so appreciated! I did several wreck and deep dives (pic attached is the Okinawa) with Hugh and Daniel, and they both were amazing teachers and guides- I can’t recommend them enough. I left the course not only learning new skills, but feeling much more confident in my own diving ability. When I come back to Ft. Lauderdale I absolutely will be giving Undersea Sports a call again!

Side note, Undersea is one of the only shops in the area that will do custom Nitrox mixes (21-40%) which is incredibly helpful!

Got Open Water Certified here, could not have been a better experience. Tori was my dive instructor and she was super cool, she made sure to teach me everything very professionally, but still found the time to make it fun. Would definitely recommend getting certified here.

Had a great experience here. Hugh was very helpful and flexible with my schedule and helped me finish my open water and advanced certifications on very short notice. I would recommend anyone else looking to get their certifications done to give Hugh or Victoria a call. I will definitely be back!
