UrgentVet - New Port Richey, Odessa FL

I have visited a few times since May of 2020 as my pets always seem to feel awful when my primary vet is not open. This place has been professional, clean, always friendly and their prices are very reasonable.

Our little 15 yr Brussels Griffon was having some heart issues with serious respiratory distress and it seemed he wasn’t going to make it. We called Urgent Vet, made an online appt, & they said, not to wait; we could come right in.
Every staff member and the doctor were compassionate & took extra care with Parker. We were very impressed with the treatment plan and professionalism.
We did not have to say farewell to our fur baby. We took him home and he is doing so much better with medication. Monday he will have further evaluation and follow up as recommended. Thank you all for all you do, we appreciate you!

I had a 3 year old pup in discomfort and bloody urine. UrgentVet got me in immediately and I was in and out in under 2 hours with meds. They were very professional and sensitive to my dog's needs.

My dog went in for fire ant bites on her eye. Our regular vet couldnt see us, and recommended UrgentVet. These are the best vet services we have ever received. They provided immediate medical care and even checked her eyes for scratches. We got a follow up text to check on her recovery (from a real person!), an emailed visit summary, full instructions for care and list of medications to administer. I am very impressed and I wish my regular vet would learn from this team of professionals. Great care, very thorough! Thank you.

We brought our suddenly very sick 14 1/2 year old Italian Greyhound to the clinic late last night. The veterinarian was very kind, patient and knowledgeable. They cared about his and our comfort. They made a very difficult time as comforting as they could have with a private room for the family, time to say goodbye and a peaceful end.

I've taken my dog Harper to UrgentVet in NPR twice now. Both times they took the time to listen to an anxious pet owner who only wants their fur baby to feel better. Both times they reassured me that with a little TLC and medications that his condition would improve. The Dr.and technician were very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I highly recommend bringing your pet to UrgentVet, they are a very caring group of people who go above and beyond to help your pet feel better. ️

They forgot about us in the waiting room while my puppy’s situated got worse. I reserved a spot online, showed up 15 minutes early and after waiting 45 minutes no one had come to the room to even ask the reason for the visit! We never saw a tech let alone a doctor. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else. Thankfully our puppy’s condition was not life threatening. I would definitely not recommend this place if you have a truly urgent situation because you can get much better care at other local places.

They were super friendly and made it very comfortable for us. We were so nervous and they took their time to explain the situation and what what going on. The meds they prescribed started working right away and our baby is feeling 100x better already

After several days of illness, I took my 14 yo 14# terrier mix Chica to the Urgent Care on 54 in Odessa on a Saturday evening, She had gotten progressively worse Saturday with vomiting and diarrhea, She hadn't really eaten except some chicken on Friday. After they administered fluids and a antinausea injection they performed blood work, Chica was in kidney failure and was considered hospice at best and she could go back to being terribly sick after the meds wore off, I made the difficult decision to let her go to pass over the Rainbow Bridge, I want to thank Dr Leung and staff for their kindness, understanding and support, A special thank you to Caroline, the manager, for holding on to me while little Chica passed. I am forever grateful,

Bad experience. Was in there for 3 hours on a Friday evening when they barely had any customers. Once we were inside the doctor's office, the nurse took some information about our cat, then told us to sit tight and wait for the actual doctor. That took an additional half hour.
Doctor himself was very professional and communicative. But the clinic is very disorganized in my opinion. Not recommended.

They took great care of my girl! The ladies handled her with such loving hands when she was in so much pain. We got a quick diagnosis with all of the information we needed for follow up care and a surgeon referral. No ridiculous up-charging suggestions.
Facility is clean and no animal smells lingering.

My cat sage needed medical attention right away and urgent care was there for her, making my anxiety less and helping her pain and I am very thankful that they took me right in without an appointment I am very thankful for the love and compassion of the staff Thank you for loving animals the way you do.

Best urgent vet I’ve ever been too. I’m so glad they opened up by my house! Dr, Leung was great. The vet assistant was also incredible

Our Blanche wasn’t feeling well, had been having gastrointestinal problems for a few days, so we decided to take her here last night. We were told to make an online appointment to make the process easier and as soon as we walked in we found a beautiful lobby with a bowl of bright red balls for our doggie. We signed in and Lindsey came immediately and was very kind and gentle with Blanche. She examined her and took a detailed medical history of Blanche. Lindsey is very observant and noticed that my daughter, a diabetic, was feeling a bit hypoglycemic, so she brought me to a small coffee/water/ snack station and offered snacks for my daughter, just amazing. The vet came in after the initial exam and went over everything and then laid out a plan of action. They did blood work, hydrated her, gave her meds, and then sent us home with meds and clear instructions for her continued care.
We also received written out instructions for her care via email. We are very pleased with the care for our Blanche. The place is very clean, the staff very friendly, and the follow up is great. 100% recommend!

My 8 lb ShihTzu rescue was in total distress & injury from the groomers (Pet Starr Salon). Her tongue swelled up to the point of asphyxiation & appeared poisoned. Immediately action! Ran out quickly to check her in entrance, took vitals & constant attention till Dr could get her treatment. Administered fluids 3 meds. Very caring and & treatment at a decent price. Thank you To all especially Dr Grace and Caroline. Highly recommend!

These guys are the best. Greeted me at the door and knew my dogs name. Fully explained the diagnosis, and treatment plan.
My Lu-Ci was very calm here, and I would definitely recommend.
The prices were comparable to a regular vet visit, no surprises.

We were seen here after an accident with our pup. They got us in very quickly. The staff was very friendly and the doctor was very genuine and helpful. We would go here again if we needed to, and we appreciate their service.
