WORST experience EVER! I don’t even want to waste my breath writing this review. I went through Home Depot to get carpet installed. I paid for the rapid install which should have been done within 5 days. I was moving into a new place and had been living out of my living room and dining room with my husband and two dogs as well as 4 bedrooms worth of stuff stacked up between the two rooms. They told me their first available date wouldn’t be until 9/8/21 and I paid for this carpet on 8/19/21. I went up to Home Depot and told them that this wasn’t going to work and I was moving in on 8/26/21 and that wasn’t at all in their promised 5 day install time. The manager at Home Depot apparently made calls and sent emails to let USIG know that they needed to get my installation done sooner. That lead to them scheduling a day of 8/28/21 to install my carpet. Still not within the 5 day install, but I was fine with that as it was a lot better than their original date on 9/8. I got a confirmation call the Friday before and everything seemed fine. Then I get a call an hour later saying they needed to reschedule for a later date. Obviously, not going to work so I definitely do not recommend them or going through Home Depot to do your carpet installation. Wish I could give zero stars but I have to give one apparently

We purchased flooring from Home Depot and USIG was to install on 8/17/21. We got a call 8/17/21 advising they would need to reschedule about 3-4 weeks out. After further discussion they advised they would have a crew to our home 8/19/21@8am. First guy showed up around 8: 30 ranting about our furniture and how he wasn’t told the house had furniture to move by them. Advised we paid in our estimate to have them move furniture. He took several pictures and sent them somewhere. Not sure why as my husband assisted them with a lot of it. They worked about 8 hrs that day and finished most of our flooring. They had left for the day and advised that they would’ve back in AM to complete the job Friday. Well about 30 minutes after they left I noticed that my jewelry drawer had a paper hanging out of it. Yep one of the four stole about $6k worth of jewelry. (my engagement ring, a diamond/ruby band, a sapphire /diamond band and my other ring that was just under 2 carats. The gut wrenching thing is the loss of the diamond/ruby band as I purchased that the year my daughter passed and had planned on giving it to my granddaughter one day.come to find out the crew at our house were from the Atlanta area and this was their first job in Jax. I’ve filed a police report, contacted my homeowners insurance, contacted David at USIG and Home Depot on Lem Turner. Very disappointed needless to say

LeighAnn and I had a terrible experience this morning with The Home Depot and their carpet installer Usig shown below. I wish I had known the name of the installer and checked the reviews before picking out and purchasing carpet 2 months ago. We have been cleaning out and getting ready for today’s installation for over a week. We have moved furniture, home decor and clothes out of the portion of the house being recarpeted. We even had a yard sale Saturday to get rid of items we pulled out that were not needed. At 8am the installer called and said they were coming at noon. We finished taking apart our bed and moving the last few items. At 10: 15 Amanda from the installer called and said they needed to reschedule for Saturday after next. I explained our house was dismantled and that LA is having knee surgery next week. Amanda said there was nothing she could do. Immediately I got in the car and went to the Evans Home Depot store. Although sympathetic they were unable to offer another solution. They have to use this installer. They were only able to give me a refund but offered no other restitution for our inconvenience. I am very disappointed as I love Home Depot but feel I have been really let down. Obviously they have made a poor decision on who to associate themselves with. You should read the reviews! We will share our experience so others will check before spending their money!

One of the worse experiences I have had. For 6 days I have been trying to get a carpet installation scheduled. They don't return phone calls and trying to speak with a live person is nearly impossible. Even the regional manager hasn't had the decency to respond to my two emails. I went through Home Depot for this and I will be asking them to cancel the order.

I had my whole house done so it was an expensive endeavor. They came at 2: 00 pm and finished at 8: 00 pm. Since everything in my house was in my garage and shed and they were working all over my house I could not stay in the house nor watch their every move. There were three of them. I stayed outside on my swing. I went to my emergency cash box in the top of my closet to get them a tip and realized I had close to $200 missing. Since I couldn't prove it I said nothing but they got no tip. I called Home Depot as soon as they left. Then I discovered they missed a spot. It took one and a half weeks to come fix it. They canceled on me three times. I also found a straight cut in the cushion of my couch looked like from a carpet knife. I had to repair it myself. Later I found my pain medication bottle was emptied out! DONT EVER GET CARPET FROM HOME DEPOT. The sub contractors they have are very dishonest.

Do not use these people. They have thieves working for them and do not care about making it right. Did a carpet installation and stole money hidden in my closet and prescription drugs out of my bathroom. Tore a hole in my couch in the process. Buyer beware.

My two rooms were supposed to be installed in one day. Instead they sent one person out who could only do one room. And then they were going to call the next day to tell us when they were going to be there. We do not live there yet, so we woke up at seven expecting a call. When I called at 9: 30, they said they weren’t going to do that room because they didn’t know how to put the molding down in it. They never called they never said.
I hired Home Depot to do the entire job to the materials the installation the works. Instead I get a delivery which was problematic, and then these people showing up doing half the job that I have paid for two weeks ago, and saying they can’t finish with the materials I have. What am I going to do with $2000 worth of materials delivered ready to be installed and no installer. Do not use this company.
It is one hassle after the other. And they expect us senior citizens to have to return materials to go through all this extra. They do absolutely nothing towards anything except come in and do their single job. They expect you to do every other aspect of the installation even though you pay for a package at Home Depot.
Do never use this company. It is not worth the stress and they don’t do it anyhow.

They are very professional on the phone and in person. Very helpful. They worked with me. So I can get my carpet installed sooner. The installer was friendly cleaned up their mess. Respect my property. Thanks

I share the same sentiment as the person who posted about having a good experience despite the bad reviews placed here. We were assigned to USIG via purchasing carpet installation from Home Depot.

It seemed the biggest complaint from all the reviews was that the scheduling/schedulers were horrible and nobody could get any installation scheduled and nobody would call them. I have to say our experience with scheduling was the exact opposite. When we were assigned to USIG, they called immediately and set up a time for installation on a holiday (Memorial Day), which was only about 5 days later and they would've scheduled sooner, but they had to wait for the carpet to come in. On top of that, I received an email everyday reminding us of our scheduled appointment, a picture of our installer, what we needed to do on our end, and our time window of when they would arrive (9-12pm). The installers showed up at 7: 30 am and finished carpeting 5 bedrooms and a staircase in 5 hours and were finished by 1: 00 p.m. At 1: 00 p.m. (we were out), we got a call from the installer (Ryan) who asked us to come home and check the work they did in order to give them a green light to leave. We did and loved the result.

There may have been problems with this company in the past, but if there were, they have sure corrected and are great. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

I was called on 7/27/19 and put on the schedule for install on 8/13/19. Even though when I purchased the carpet I was told this was a rapid install order (7 days). Clearly it was not as I was schedule more than 2 weeks out. I was told by the installer that there have been delays with the carpet coming in on time. So I took 8/13/19 off work, moved all my furniture out of the bedrooms the weekend before and was called 8/12 @ 5: 30pm to be told my appointment was being cancelled due to installer having an family emergency. I was scheduled for Wednesday 8/14 and was told I would Be the 1st appointment of the morning. I re-arranged by work schedule and took off 1/2 a day to be there for the install. I received a call at 7am on 8/14 being told someone would be there between 8-11am as they were picking up my carpet. 11: 15am comes and no one has shown up. I called the installer and they put me on hold for a bit, came back to the phone to tell me there was confusion with the appointment and said someone would be there in one hour and fifteen mins to an hour and a half. They finally showed an hour and a half after the latest time of the scheduled appointment (12: 30pm) and left after 2: 45p. So I had too miss an entire day of work because they could not make the appointment at all on 8/14 and could not show up at the time they schedule that morning. Worst experience for a simple 3 bedroom carpet install. Home Depot is a large corporation so I am not sure why they use 1 installer who cannot manage setting appointments appropriately let alone Home Depot advertises rapid install, but it’s not a rapid install. Would NOT recommend! No one has called to follow up from Home Depot or the installer on my experience either!

RUN-> Don't even consider using.
I wish that I had read the reviews before getting involved with this 'business'. My tile is sitting in my garage. They called, but never set up an installation date.then never called back. I called EVERY DAY last week and left messages. Finally got someone on the phone today. They guy actually said that he doesn't check messages. Then, was rude when I asked questions about the install. On the phone now with Home Depot to get a refund on the installation that I've already paid for.

These people have NO idea what the hell they are doing! I can't believe home depot would even use this company for their installation.

After reading some of the reviews on this company, I was seriously doubting my decision to use The Home Depot to have carpet installed in my home. I’ll give you a quick run down of how the process went.

I had Home Depot come measure. The young man showed up on time and took all of the measurements that he needed. I received a call that same day saying the measurements and quote were completed and the total cost was around $3800 to use the carpet and pad that I had selected.

The wife and I went and made some last minute changes at The Home Depot and they adjusted the quote right there. We paid and set up the installation appointment for the following Monday.

I called USIG on Thursday and they assured me that we were still on for Monday and they would call sometime before 8: 30AM with a time for the install. Sure enough, they called Monday morning and said they would be there between 10AM and 1PM. (They give a 3 hour window) They showed up just after 10AM.

A father and son team showed up and tore out the old carpet and installed the new carpet and pad. It took them approximately 9 hours from start to finish. They were extremely professional and thorough. The carpet looks great and my wife is absolutely in love with her new floor.

The only “negative” I can think of is the scheduling process. I wish they would give a definitive time when you schedule the install. It’s inconvenient to have to accept a phone call “sometime before 8: 30AM” as they say, only to be told the installers will be there at some point later that day.

All in all, I am extremely satisfied with the install and the product. Thank you to our installers. You were awesome!

The worst place ever! The installer went home without informing the customer and had to wait for him the whole entire day.

This company has done a horrible job installing our carpet from Home Depot, and the installers left our house in a mess. When I complained, they offered me a Home Depot gift card as a token of apology, which they never sent. After months of no replies, the guy that I was dealing with is no longer with the company and they have no idea about my install and the “new” guy I talked to on the phone has no idea about any warranty that they offer. He said “we do have a labor warranty on installs, but I have never seen it”.

I wish I would have never given this place a chance. Spent 1700 on carpet and waited 2 months. I was sent a video showing me to take all nic nacs off book shelves and anything on top of dressers. I went further and boxed everything except a giant teddy bear and a ride on car that was my daughters which I was going to move when they got to the room. The installers showed up an hour late, sent pictures of the teddy bear and car to their general manager and the LEFT! GM called me and said my room wasnt prepped and they couldn't do the install. I explained it was 2 large toys which I could have moved in 30 seconds. She said okay I will call and tell them to start in the master and u can move those items. 7 minutes later me and my husband cleared the entire room and no one came back. I called fleming island florida home depot and the manager said she would call them, the manager at home depot called back and said they wont be coming back their photos show the room wasnt prepped Which I replied it was 2 toys which i moved and sent photos literally minutes later. She said u will have to reschedule monday. Literally gave home depot 1700 and waited over a month to be told too bad. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. Do NOT use this company.

I see why this company only has 2 1/2 stars but I wouldn’t even give them that. Poor service all around. They installed our upstairs carpet after a purchase from Home Depot. Wish we had known this was the company used prior to purchase and we would have avoided making the purchase all together. When we purchased the carpet it was under a 7 day install guarantee. That didn’t happen as they said they were booked. When they did finally come it was a rush job and they did not properly staple under the lip of the stairs and was sloppily done. A week later they were to come back to fix it. We were told they would come between 11-1pm. My husband waited all day and they never showed up or called. At 330pm he called them and they said they would not be able to make the appointment but promised they would come to us first thing the very next morning between 8-9am. At 930 am they had STILL not shown up or called. Again we called them and they lady Jen or Jenna who answered the phone said they had us down for 9-11am. She had a very nonchalant attitude and didn’t seem to care how much we had been inconvenienced. I asked to speak to a manager and she transferred me to a call center in Arizona. I was finally transferred to their general manager’s voicemail and left a message requesting a call back. He never called. This company is horrible from top to bottom. Avoid at all cost! Would never use them again and will never purchase flooring from Home Depot again with them using this subpar company.
