What is wrong with this social security group. My husband passed Oct. 4th 2023. It took me 2 months to get a phone appointment. It was on 12/12/23. I still do not have my back pay. Something is wrong these people are incompetent they need to replace them with more educated people.

Every time I call up here I am waiting for hours at a time and then they end up closing. I've been calling for over a week. Yall give a deadline but it never gets to people in time. Start answering the darn phone. We know the office isn't that busy.

Lake city office loses the paperwork, you call they never call back, you go in and the workers who get paid to be there are rude as can be to you, if you don't like your job I suggest you find one you do! And I suggest you take your paperwork in and watch them personally scan it because the drop box eats your stuff or it disappears!

I went in to get a replacement, Social Security card, and I come out and a woman in a Chevy equinox decided to be very rude and tell me that I could not throw trash in a federal dumpster. I’m sorry, but your dumpster is not free anymore? Are we just allowed to just throw trash wherever we feel? I think I was doing the courteous thing instead of dumping it on your ground. Please find something better to do, than give a reason to not throw trash out. She was a Karen

I called 3 months prior to getting my phone appointment. An I spoke with Miss Carter an she was very precise an personable on filling my SSA needs. You can also visit them online as well. If you need to take personal documentation directly to the Social Security offices then plan on wearing a mask. As a security officer will buzz the door open an stop you an ask you a few simple questions an then you will have to check in on a touch screen with a few questions asked an it will print out a electronic number to sit an wait until they call your number. There's plenty of parking outside an plenty of seating inside.
