Valencia College Lake Nona Campus reviews

Full of unruly dual-enrolled teens. Otherwise an okay atmosphere. The study room in the library is a great place to unwind.
Alanna, Frankie, and Jaime at the campus bookstore are incredible. Very kind staff members with an answer to all your questions and an attention to detail that's hard to come by in any form of retail. I hope their efforts are valued to the fullest by Valencia. I know that myself and many other students value them. Thank you for all your help, guys!
I was there to helped the president and vice president of SGA at the Lake Nona and Osceola campus making a video. Wow that was a mouth full.
The gentleman working in security was very helpful (unlike security at the Osceola Campus). Went there (Lake Nona) with my daughter to get her Valencia ID.mission accomplished thanks to a helpful individual.when we spoke to security at Osceola.the gentleman there was full of bs.about him not having access to blah blah blah.do your f.ing job dude.it doesn't matter if the student is taking only online classes.if you're a student.you get a f.ing ID card.that's it jackass.
Nepotism is rampant at Valencia College. I have a son who graduated from Valencia College. You have to go through more interviews and hoops just to get an entry level position at this college, but if you are related to someone that already works there you are all good. I’m not a lawyer and I don’t understand all the legalities involved, but I do take the ethics test on a yearly basis and it says you can’t hire people just because they’re family members. They have to be the best people for the position. You have a woman who already worked at Valencia College in the testing center, her son has been the manager of Learning Support for years, and now his wife is a professor at Valencia as well. One of Valencia's Deans own wife is the vice president of Human Resources for Valencia. Those are just the beginning, there are many more. I highly doubt these people suddenly became the best people for positions. I would like to see a more diverse group of people working at Valencia. Let's see some different ethnicities, religions, ages, sexual orientations represented like it is in your student population. It is 2020, Valencia can do better.
