I had an urgent and unexpected need for cremation when my husband died of a sudden stroke when we were visiting from NYC. The entire team and especially Shante Westbrook were exceptionally gracious and incredibly helpful with every single detail. I highly recommend Van Orsdel.

Van Oradell is the best place to be on the worst day of your life. Frank and the rest of the staff obviously care for their clients, the living ones and the ones that have passed on. When my father passed more than 10 years ago I met Frank who guided our family thru what we thought would be a terrible and scary process and made it a calm and peaceful transition for my much loved dad. Two years ago when my mother was being cared for by hospice I was asked who would be handling my mom. There was no other response than Van Orsdal. One month ago today I lost the love of my life and again Frank and staff helped me make it thru. These are kind warm and loving people who are doing a very difficult service and as far as I'm concerned they are succeeding far beyond my expectations.

The funeral Directors Shante Westbrook (an Angel who held my hand through the planning process) and Frank Lopez made the funeral I planned for my Mother from New Jersey a beautiful experience and cost effective! Their communication was attentive, courtesy and responsive. Crystal and Heineken did a wonderful job coordinating the service and making my Mother look good for the funeral. Whenever I requested an adjustment, it was made quickly and accurately. Everything from the Staff, cleanliness of the bathrooms and chapel, to the flowers was beautiful! I was grateful to have all my funeral service needs met, Van Orsdel truly provides all the services needed for your funeral that is respectful and accommodating to all cultures and ethnicities. I love the on-line Tribute wall which was a great way for family and friends to send flowers, cards, light candles, and share personal photos and videos of your loved one, which is a great way to honor them. Thank you to everyone at Van Orsdel-Midtown Miami for making my Mother's Homecoming a beautiful experience!

I have no words to describe the superb work that Van Orsdel does. My dad had terminal dementia and crystal treated me literally like family from the first phone call. The process was straight forward, she understood what my family and I wanted for my dad. When he passed the easy phone call to them, she kept me updated on a daily basis about the process. She connected us to the catholic cemeteries. Every single detailed was taken care of. I recommend them without hesitation.
