Varsity House Gainesville

I’ve been a resident of Varsity House for 2 years going through my third year. It has seen a major improvement under the new management team and I feel like it will get even better as time goes on. Shoutouts to Gwen and Bailey for being super friendly and helpful everyday when I go to the front desk.

This place is a rip off. You pay $800 a month for an elevator that smells like dog piss, a hallway with puke stains in the carpet. And if you ever want a guest to come stay you have to jump through 50 hoops for 1 of 6 parking passes in competition with all residents… never mind the fact we already pay $40 a month to park where we live and that rate increased to $80.

The staff at Varsity House is elite. They truly are an amazing group that care about your time at the apartment.

RUN! This is the worst place you could choose to live in. First, they don't tell you about hidden fees until you sign. They charge you $40 per month for parking. Maintenance work orders are never completed. I had a work order, and I waited for two weeks, but they closed it without solving the issue. Almost every month, we have a squad of police cars coming, either due to a crime or someone taking their own life.

Thank you VH! They are amazing at maintenance requests and quickly resolve problems:).
Management and front office staff are always sweet, friendly, and greet you personally:).
Update: I’m almost on my 2nd renewal and I am still loving life at VH!

Just moved in and it has been wonderful! Some things in the apartment were in very rough condition and not up to my standards, but the maintenance team quickly came in and replaced all of the problem areas! Hassle free!

It’s been great so far. Varsity is miles ahead of the game in terms of quality units compared to others in town. I love being right down the street from campus.

I love this apartment complex! The front desk staff are always so nice and helpful. Whenever we have any issues, it always gets fixed within a few days.

They have been very accommodating and keeping me up to date about everything. I appreciate all of their help and very much enjoy being a resident here. The staff is amazing and supportive, the facilities are wonderful, and my apartment is great. Thank you!

Pretty nice place to live if you’re a college student! The staff is incredibly and they’re always willing to help you and serve you ASAP! Pretty good location + buses stops, also if your family and friends wants to visit Gainesville and they’re planning to stay at a hotel, there's one literally next to the complex.

Best apartment complex and very friendly staff members. Jacky Ramos have been very helpful and understanding to me, especially when I wanted to terminate my lease contract.

Highly recommend it to students who are looking for good social life, community engagement and lavish rooms with spacious bathrooms. It is also very close to campus. GO FOR IT students, trust me, you will not regret.

Update: I’ve now lived here for a year and my review is just as glowing as it was a year ago. The bathroom and closet are HUGE and the apartment is really well maintained. The maintenance staff is very quick to respond, are very efficient, knowledgeable and always friendly. Management is very much involved with residents and are always approachable, unlike most mangers elsewhere who hide behind a locked door and won’t even return phone calls. Such a welcome change! Lastly, the front desk staff is extraordinary. They are always friendly and ready to assist their residents in any way they can. It’s difficult to single out any one front desk staff member because they’re all so good, but a special shout-out does go to Gwen, who has always made me feel special and always has a kind word and a smile. Another shout-out has to go to Jacky. She goes above and beyond to make sure issues are solved quickly, never complains nor have I ever seen her in a bad mood. She truly loves her job and it shows! Shes like a little ray of sunshine. It’s obvious that Varsity House has their residents’ needs and comfort first and foremost. This is just one of the things that make Varsity House such a special place to call home!

I've lived at Varsity for the past two years, and will miss it when I move. Overall, I've had a good experience. We'd had some maintenance related issues in the past, but it seems like there's been a change of staff since then, and they've gotten a lot better at responding. Front desk staff have always been friendly to me.

Despite all the reviews I have read, my experience has been great here! Morgan and all the office staff are very accommodating to all my needs. Josh on the maintenance staff was very helpful answering all my questions and concerns.

Finishing two years of leasing here. Price was good and I liked the covered garage for parking, great location too. Nice pool and friendly staff. Helped make my undergrad a positive experience
