VCA Imperial Point Animal Hospital reviews
19They let me bring my chihuahua in for an emergency case of what we thought was Parvo and it was. I didn’t have an appointment and they couldn’t treat for parvo but they let me bring him anyways that’s how much they care! I’m so dramatic when it comes to my animals and I always ask a million questions, cry like a baby to the point I know I’m annoying but I can’t help it. I do this when somethings wrong and they put up with me every time. Is anyone else like this? I’m so easy going when it comes to real life but with the dogs I get so emotional.they are a little expensive but for the quality of care but it’s worth it and they took off a couple hundred for us. Spencer was perfectly fine when he got home from this life OR death situation. He’s very dramatic like me so I know they took great care of him. He was playful the moment he got out. They are always so sweet to him and all the other new animals I bring in. Thank you VCA. We love you!
Like many others have observed, the wait times (even with appointments) are excessive. I brought my beloved 15 year old dog in this morning at 7: 30 AM for testing which requires that she be at the hospital all day (over 12 hours in total). I was advised, once the phone lines were opened that a technician would be “right out, ” to collect my pet. Nearly 30 minutes later, the only technician who opened the hospital doors did so to accept a Starbucks order from an UberEats driver, rather than meet with the owners waiting patiently in the parking lot with their pets.
While I appreciate there can be delays when emergencies occur, the hospital should not schedule early morning appointments if they do not have the resources to actually begin seeing patients at that time.
When the technician finally came to my car to take my pet in, she did not seem to have any knowledge of what the purpose of my visit and what the procedure entailed and when I would be able to pick up my animal.
When phoning, after my pet had been in the hospital’s care for nearly 5 hours, I was placed on hold for several minutes and given a curt update by the front desk attendant who, seemed to be annoyed by my inquiries and request for an update on my pet’s status. I definitely did not feel like my pet was treated like family as they state in their motto.
Once the test results are delivered I will definitely be looking at other care providers in the area. There are too many other options in the area to not focus on quality.
They've been our vets since day 1 of adopting Franklin almost 3 years ago. And we couldn't be happier. Docs will text to check up and follow-up and everyone is professional, polite, and clearly love animals. The tech support (website and app) make it so convenient, too.
Fantastic service! I just called with a bit of a dog food emergency. Amanda and Lindsey were so helpful to get my pooch taken care of. I appreciate it greatly!
Very understanding and sympathetic. New process takes a little bit more time than other vets but I can appreciate they're trying to keep everyone safe for the time being
Reccomend this clinic if your pet is seek. They has good customer service and waiting time is reasonable. Also prices are affordable and you can get credit card with them if you don't have enough cash. Very clean and bright hall and rooms where they take care of your pets. Dr. Clarke very friendly and helpful. He helped our pet twice and both time with no mistake.
AMAZING staff. AMAZING care! Truly the best; kind and caring. Would never hesitate to bring my loved ones here. Thanks guys!
My experiences every time are excellent.the whole staff are great. Only place I will take my pets.
I just took my Labrador Retriever to VCA Imperial Point for the first time. I highly recommend it. Dr. Arlianne Velez-Ramos is excellent. She is extremely competent and thorough. Plus, she’s very nice, gentle and kind. And for the same reasons, Alan G, the veterinary tech, is excellent. He definitely knows his stuff and did a thorough history and evaluation before Dr. Velez came in. He’s a super nice guy too.
Great place.
I have never seen a dog so happy to go to the vet. This place is wonderful and always treats, not only you, but your pet, as family. Would definitely recommend for anyone needing a great veterinarian.
Dr. Clarke is the best. We have seen him for over 10 years at multiple locations. He is so kind and compassionate. We feel like family. He has gotten us through a few scares and I rest easy knowing that my dogs are so well cared for.
Dr. Clarke is one of the greatest doctors to whom I have ever entrusted my precious cats. He has worked miracles with one of our rescue cats who has continual allergies and health problems. His professionalism and empathy is unsurpassed. There is no better veterinarian.
They took amazing care of my puppy! He got insomnia and they doctors there did an amazing job at assuring me everything would be okay, I’m happy that Tito is now back home!
Staff is genuine, respectful and caring to you and your pets. Appointments are super easy on the weekends and the wait is minimal
Excellent staff. Dr. Arlienne Velez treated my princess with absolute care and concern. Although my princess hates a hospital, she knew every staff member loved her and she tried to be as calm as possible. Nevertheless, I am extremely happy, grateful and recommend VCA Imperial Point Animal Hospital to anyone. Be sure to have all your paperwork ready and it will be an easy breezy check in process. God bless and god speed for a speedy recovery.
Awesome, caring staff, Dr. Clark is spectacular, real love for pets reflected in medical and boarding.
Dr. Clarke and his staff are excellent at finding what's wrong and best of all finding the solutions to give back your dog's life and happiness. Dr. Lara Wiseman is a true genius at zeroing in on all the results to come up with a diagnosis, let alone outside Lab results concurred. She save my Great Dane's life, Hera has Addison Disease and had I stupidly waited 1 to 2 more days she would Died. They all are the best. I drive round trip 38 miles for them, it's worth it!
VCA was recommended to my by the humane society where I adopted my pet, and I have 30 days of free pet insurance that can be used here. From the first visit, I have been beyond disappointed. First, when they weighed my (sick) kitten and took his temperature, they took him out of the room. I'm not sure why this can't be done in the exam room. Next, my kitten sneezed up blood multiple times after receiving his breathing treatment. When I called to say he wouldn't be returning for more treatments, I was told I'd receive a call from the doctor. Never received a call. Then, he ran out of the medicine he was supposed to take for 10-14 days after only 5 days, so I called for a refill and was told I'd receive a call back. Never received a call. When I called back, the receptionist gave me attitude that I didn't know the name of the medication (the kitten only has one prescription, so it shouldn't be difficult to find in his file). Then, apparently, the medication HAD been refilled but they hadn't bothered to call to tell me. Once the receptionist told me this, she hung up on me. I will not be returning here after my free 30 days of pet insurance expire. I will gladly drive 30 minutes to my old vet in Boca. I do not recommend this place at all.
UPDATE: I'm changing my review to 3 stars. After seeing my review, the medical director called me himself to follow up on my 1-star review. He said he would check the schedule to see which receptionist hung up on me, and said the message to call me never got to him. He also explained that my kitten sneezing up blood can be a normal reaction to a breathing treatment. I work in healthcare and hospitality and would consider this excellent service recovery.
I've taken my cat, Gabby, there for close to ten years. Friendly and empathetic staff. Highly Recommended!
