The doctor is great but the treatment given by the administrative staff is terrible, I do not recommend this service at all, even the manager does not know where she is standing

My APRN is wonderful, 5 star rating for him. The billing department is another story. You can not even get through to anyone, always goes right into voice mail. I was billed $45 on two different occasions for a co-pay, which I have no co- pay for telev visits. I have spoken to the office manager (?) and sent several emails trying to get my money refunded. This has been going on since March 2023. I see by reading other reviews that I am not the only person they have done this to. What will it take to get my refund? Very bad business practice!

A provider at this practice ruined my life. Maybe not permanently, but still, I don’t know how long this will last.

I started off seeing a different provider - who was a doctor - who left the practice. When they left, I was randomly placed with a different provider - Ilona Moroz. She is a nurse practitioner and highly unqualified to deal with severe co-occurring mental health diagnoses.

Before seeing her, I wasn’t 100% mentally well by any means, but I was stable. Even after going through highly stressful, traumatic experiences for several months prior. At the time of seeing her, I was on an antidepressant. She immediately decided to take me off the antidepressant - citing the possibility of a future manic episode due to the notes of a previous provider (not the one mentioned above) saying I have bipolar disorder. I have never had a manic episode in my life. I have, however, struggled with depression for over a decade. Why would she think it fit to take me off a medication I needed to function to prevent the risk of something I’ve never even come close to experiencing?

Of course, taking me off the antidepressants, as someone with major depression, was a horrible idea. I began declining rapidly. So she decided to try Vraylar - a non-generic name brand $700/month drug (thankfully my insurance covered it). I wonder why she’d be so excited to push a $700 prescription on me when I have taken it’s cousin - abilify (generic version) - unsuccessfully in the past?

Anyway, this medication caused SEVERE nausea. To the point where I couldn’t - and still can’t - function. Nauseous all day every day with no remedy. She prescribed me yet another medication to counteract the horrible side effects and hide the mistakes she caused in the first place. When that didn’t work, she took me off the vraylar. By that point, I was on only 125 mg of Lamotrigine. A very low dose, especially by itself. Mind you, at the time, I was diagnosed (according to my records with this practice) with 9 different various psychiatric disorders - ranging from bipolar disorder to BPD to anxiety to MDD. It was simply not enough, and my mental health declined more.

She decided to try Caplyta, yet another $700/month medication, again, wonder why - this time my insurance didn’t cover it, so I had to wait another week to see her again to be treated. In the meantime, I was still dealing with nausea, suicidal thoughts, severe depression, anger, irritability, mood swings, etc.only being treated with a very low dose of a mood stabilizer.

Finally, we landed on Lithium. We started with a low dose which did nothing. Then we moved to 1200 mg a day which is an enormous jump, in my opinion, which has left my body and mind a wreck. I feel sick all the time, I have tons of side effects - I won’t get into details, but they’re very unpleasant - and my mental health is at an all time low.

I made the decision to seek out my previous provider who left this horrible, godforsaken practice, and hopefully with their help I can fix the mess Ilona and Ventre medical made of my mind and body. It will take time. She spent 3 months treating me like a guinea pig. Hopefully it’ll get better soon.

I can’t warn anyone reading this enough. This practice is horrible. They push unnecessary and outrageously expensive treatments on their patients for the sole purpose of profit. I’m nearly broke, in debt, sick all the time mentally and physically, because I can’t work, because I’m so sick, because of the irresponsible actions of this unqualified woman who would rather collect a paycheck from the drug companies than actually treat her suffering, sick patients.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope it helps shed light on the quality of this practice. Please, take your insurance and money somewhere else where they’re actually going to help you.

ON AUGUST 28,2023, THEY CHARGED ME $125 MORE FROM MY DEBIT CARD WITHOUT COMMUNICATING ME FIRST, WHEN THE LEGAL CHARGE FOR MY HEALTH INSURANCE WAS ONLY $25, AS WAS THE FIRST TIME, I have called the billing department many times, I have gone to the office and they hide like thieves and do not show their faces, nor do they give me the money back, it seems like a blatant theft to me, I am sure I will not be the first patient to have their money stolen.

I'm leaving a one star review not because the staff/doctor weren't friendly but their accounting department is missing in action. I have been trying for over a month to reach them to get a summary of my visit/account for my HSA card and despite multiple vm and several visits to the office to help me no one from the accounting department has responded. Every time I call it just goes to vm. They say they’ll return the call the next business day but never do. This is no way to run a business and now I am stuck with a suspended HSA card that I cannot use to pay medical bills waiting on a simple summary of account from this office.

I received a FACETIME call from this company. I live in California, not Florida. How could this happen? WHY would this happen? So unprofessional.

The reviews speak for themselves. Ventre medical is a poor excuse for a medical practice. No return calls, no followup. It seems as though the staff in incompetent.especially Rhonda Heath who is a total flake!

The upper management, and Peter Ventre are horrible. My therapist and my psychiatrist were outstanding; however, they work at my psychiatrist. Ventre medical associates is stopping accepting my medical insurance 7/1/23. If they had done it before the end of March, I could have changed my coverage to an insurance that they would accept. I find it to be pure incompetence that they are unaware that people cannot change their insurance at a whim. Just don’t go because you’re just going to have pain and agony when they decide that your insurance isn’t good enough.

If you want a quick prescription, by all means go here. If you want actual help, 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!

My NP Ilona Moroz and the staff at the Oakland Blvd office are outstanding. I cannot say enough good things about the level of compassion and help recieved from my therapist, Dre and the ladies at the front desk. The TMS staff, Kim, Kelsey and Anthony are tte best at what they do because I no longer want to hurt myself or take my life.
My complaint would be the business practices. I learned from my insurance company in November 2022, that they were paying 100% of my TMS treatments. I have been calling and trying to get the refund of over $1,000 reimbursed from Ventre to no avail. As of February 2023, I still have no answer or refund.
If you are having this type of problem, it is best to contact the States Attorney's Office to seek resolution rather than go back to a poor mental state of being. Ventre is a business and is not thinking about the patients even though the people who work there care very much.

Let me just say, I have been a patient here since 2021 & ever since my first doctor left (Dr. Davari) it has honestly become similar to a “drive thru”, in the sense of time spent with the “doctor”. At first, my appointments lasted about 20-30 minutes. Dr. Davari was an excellent doctor who was thorough and had empathy and compassion for patients. She took the time to ask questions about ME, the patient, and she truly seemed as though she was there to HELP ME. Once she left, I have now been placed in this “drive thru” queue. My new “doctor” Baharak Khabazghazvini, spends literally 30 seconds with me during my “appointment”. It’s always the same, “Hi Tara, how’s your medicine? ” I say it’s fine, “ok I’ll call in your next prescriptions” have a nice day. That’s it, that’s all. I literally do not even call to schedule these appointments, the front desk automatically schedules them. I missed the appointment for this morning by 2 minutes. I called in and Baharak refused to take 30 seconds to call me back. That’s disgusting. For the amount of money she’s making from my insurance, you’d think she could take 30 seconds to call me back? Of course not. I’ve not missed 1 appointment since starting with her and her lack of regard is just appalling. I’d suggest finding someone other than Baharak, if you are looking for a compassionate & professional provider, because she is definitely not going to be able to spare 30 seconds of her time for you. I am absolutely disgusted with this whole thing now. The American medical system is seriously flawed and greed has become a major problem. When you are paid thousands of dollars to spend 30 seconds with a patient, there’s seriously something wrong. How about taking the time to do your job properly and not rushing through appointments with your patients? Absolutely disgusted by this whole situation and I hope, if you are looking for someone to help you at this location, you find someone besides Baharak. She’s rude and inconsiderate. She lacks the ability to provide compassionate care and doesn’t care about anything besides writing a prescription and collecting the insurance money.

DO NOT GO HERE. This place is AWFUL. I've had to wait HOURS past my appointment time to be called for my telehealth appointments. My appointments are less than 5 minutes long. I've timed them. The longest one I've ever had, including intake, was 15 min. But even worse than the providers is the BILLING. I've called, left messages, been told I'd be called back, and heard NOTHING from ANYONE. The last time I did manage to get in touch with someone they told me they even had record of the payments for the charges that I was being billed for! I was assured the charges were all taken care of and that my balance was cleared up but now I've started getting billed AGAIN for the same appointments. Some of these were being billed for a THIRD TIME. This practice is a complete scam. Again, DO NOT GO HERE.
