Vero Beach Museum of Art reviews
16 The exhibition of Picasso, Matisse and many others made for a wonderful day at the always changing Vero Beach Museum.
Loved it. Aloha
Impressive museum for a "small town". Staff was amazing and displays of art pieces from local artists was really neat. To see a Picasso or Matisse not far from an up and coming local talent shows you how amazing the Vero community is. Would highly recommend. Don't forget to see the outside sculptures in the back.
First time visiting, wonderful exhibition of paintings, photographs and children's artwork
So the art was nice. And the ticket attendant too.
The security followed us around the whole time, made it less enjoyable knowing we were watched at multiple angels constantly.
They came up to us to tell us to back up from the art.
They came up to tell us to put our thermos outside.
They came up to tell us they're "turning off the lights in 15 minutes" (not their fault, they closed early that day)
Needless to say it was a bit much. The art was great, but I'm not willing to go again, to be watched intensely just to look at art.
Amazing art museum! Staff was so friendly and welcoming. Exhibits were wonderful. Will visit regularly!
My friends and I got to experience the Doris Lee exhibit, she was an amazing artist and traveler. That exhibit is there until September 15th I believe so if you're in the area before then, check it out. The workers of the art museum and in the souvenir shop were super sweet and excited to talk about the art.
We had a lovely experience today with a homeschoolgroup. The docent was amazing and patient, and so was the art teacher in the studio. All the staff was very friendly.
Surprising little gem. Gorgeous facility, beautiful art. Overly staffed but only $8 for adults. A great air-conditioned break in the hot FL afternoon sun
Beautiful museum and their current exhibit of Doris Lee's paintings is great. The docent was helpful and knowledgeable. Friendly staff too.
Great museum and a nice place to beat the heat. Took the kids there and they loved Art Zone. Interactive exhibits that they can build, create and edit. Galleries are well laid out. We were going to do the sculpture garden, but ran out of time because we were in the Art Zone too long. Highly recommend. Grounds are beautiful. Funky eclectic gift shop.
Aloha, The Doris Lee exhibit was wonderful. The docent explained Doris' start as an artist in the 1920s, painting for Life magazine, ads for Lucky Strike, and having a long successful career to the 1980s. All while touring the gallery leisurely listening and looking at the marvelous art. God's blessings to you. Aloha
The facility here is gorgeous. Plenty of room inside. The check-in was friendly if not a bit slow. The exhibits are presented in a clean modern roomy setting. All in all the facilities are impeccable. It's unfortunate that more resources are not allocated to their collections. There may be a few exceptional pieces in their collections but we did not find them. Their website references a glass collection and when we got there we could not find it. When we asked, they said it was in storage upstairs. With all the room they have you would think they would be able to display their best pieces rather than keep them in storage. For Vero Beach I guess this is a great museum.
My daughter is loving the summer art camp! From clay to painting. She can't get enough.
This is a one floor smaller museum. Only took couple hours to see everything. We went because daughter enjoys art and history. They could use a food truck outside near gardens or Cafe inside as we did want snack break.
Looking for a cool spot to chill and beat the heat? The museum is a great place to go. Interesting exhibits and great kids zone, adults are welcome too.
