My dog ​​has diarrhea since we visited their office, they charged us VERY EXPENSIVE for the medicine so that when my dog ​​gets home I now have something else to worry about.

I loved Dr Gifford! This is literally the Walmart of veterinary care. My dog was diagnosed with an enlarged heart. That’s pressing on her trachea, which is eventually going to be fatal. She was given to medication’s one a heart medicine, and the other Hycodan, which is essentially Tylenol with codeine, cough syrup, she’s very tiny so she only gets a half an ML. I spoke with Dr. Cruz who originally diagnosed her and then had a 10 day follow up with Dr. Soto and the cough medicine was wearing off much earlier than every 12 hours. She increased it to every eight hours when I spoke to her on October 19. She asked me if I had enough medication and I told her no and she stated that she would give me more. Therefore, when I stopped a day or two later to pick up the prescription as they no longer carry scheduled narcotics at this location, so I’m not sure if they lost their license for some reason because they used to when Dr. Gifford was in practice there, apparently there was a different doctor named Dr. Rivera who refused to write the prescription of which I thought was already written by Dr. Cruz and I was just picking up the office manager. Alexis was very rude with no bedside manner and I am a medical professional as well, and I stated that this is for a dog that has a life ending illness, and she really didn’t care, I explained I don’t understand why I can’t just get the prescription that is necessary and it’s such a tiny amount. It doesn’t make any sense and she stated it’s because Dr. Rivera has never seen my pet. I said well she seen by this practice and her chart is here, so clearly you know what she’s on Again she refused so I called thrives main line and made a complaint. Which resulted in me having to make another appointment with Dr. Cruz two days later just to get this medication I do not recommend this place for another reason as my larger dog had torn his meniscus and I took him there because online it says we accept walk-ins and they do not. I got turned away, even though all three of my dogs get seen there And was forced to go to a place I had to find myself. If your dogs are healthy and you just want shots, I can understand taking them there, but as far as anything else they are in capable. When she was diagnosed with the heart issue, they told me there are only three places in the entire state of Florida that have a cardiac ultrasound. Just buy beware if you care about your fur babies, go private.

We had a great experience with Vetco when we had an issue with our precious cat. Dr. Soto and his staff were fanstastic.

Always so kind to us and our pup. The current Vet is real and honest, not money-hungry like some we have seen before that wanted to do unessecary things unrelated to our visit. Easy to make appointments online and the Vital Care discount is worth it!

Amazing staff the vet helped me out alot my dog had a wet fungus in her paw that she wouldn't stop licking itnwas so bag her paw was swollen gave menmeds to give her an now her paw is just about normal again she hasn't licked it since and gave me really good advice always clean under the paw Shafter coming in from outside

I can't give ZERO star. Thrive has a terrible attendant. I took my cat who had an eye problem and they didn't attend to me. The receptionist said I could make an appointment for another day. After I said I needed immediate care, she offered to pass it off as an "emergency", certainly to charge 10x more. Not to mention there was a woman who appeared to be the doctor, she didn't even look back. I will never walk past this clinic again. If they are already like that at the reception, I can imagine what the backstage treatment must be like.

I brought my dog here to assess
a large mass on her stomach. Immediately the “veterinarian” said she had cancer, without performing a single test, and they couldn’t remove because it was too large. Absolutely absurd we paid $90 for this ridiculous service. Do NOT go to this facility if you really care about you pet!
I took her in another vet, they removed the mass, she doesn’t has cancer and post surgery she is fine now.

I loved this place because the staff was so nice and it was called Thrive AFFORDABLE vetcare.for a check up or follow up it use to cost around $35 but now its like $64-$65? Just to say “yeah your pet is ok. ” i’m upset i really liked this place but as a student its better for me to go elsewhere.i hope you guys can provide affordable services again.

Edited from 1 to 4 stars after Alexis the hospital manager helped me out. Alexis was kind and wonderful, and she helped me avoid the double charge for the test. She also put a note in my file to have the shots given in the room with me instead of in the back. Thank you for making things right!

Terrible experience. I was about to go out of town and told them I’d bring the fecal sample when I was back, they said no problem, then told me they were going to charge me $41 again because I had passed the deadline (I was never even made aware there was a deadline because of their lack of communication). They said they could at least check with their manager before charging me, so I left and asked them to call me with what the manager said. The manager said I needed to pay the $41 again to get the exam, and I said alright and went to give them my card over the phone, but they said I had to come pay in person (which they also never bothered to tell me I’d have to do) and I was already 40 minutes away. Unethical business, and they don’t communicate their pricing fairly. Watch out for hidden fees and poor business practices. As a side note, when my cat got vaccines, I wasn’t allowed to stay with her, and she was in the back for 25 minutes. How long could it possibly take for a couple shots? She was shaking when she came back. Definitely calling corporate.

I talked to 2 employees in PetCo, and they both were very helpful and friendly. I didn't use any services. I just went in to buy treats for my dog. They answered all my questions, and I will definitely be back.

I chose the $30 basic bath and was charged $50. I didn’t ask for nail buffering and they did with out my consent. So I paid $20 more than I was expecting. Not happy with this.

The tech and Dr were very knowledgeable and helpful. The front desk staff was very polite and attentive

The vet answered all my questions and gave me recommendations on what i could do to improve my dog's health. The vet techs were friendly and even told me ways to save money.

I was warmly greeted the moment I walked in with my dog. The process was smooth from start to finish. Staff and Dr. Soto were professional and caring and everyone took the time to discuss the issue and possible remedies. I highly recommend this location!
