Place is like a homeless encampment. The mental health care is a absolute joke here. Third rate doctors and therapists

Thank God for this facility and the entire staff there. From the intake, till the time I left 2 months later, I received mental health counseling as well as substance use coping skills that have prepared me to move forward with a more productive and fulfilling life. Additionally, I received funding for school and obtained an apartment, all orchestrated by my team leader and other staff. I'd bet my bottom dollar you can't find a better staff anywhere that is more caring and professional than the WPB VA DOM!

Poor care. Not thinking of the veteran when they need the help the most. My husband wants to go to the rehabilitation dorm but was not accepted. He served your country shame on you.

My husband has tried for over a year to get mental health help. He's had multiple phone appointments scheduled, and every single one has been canceled with no notice. He went to the emergency room in January for chest pains and didn't get the test results until April. After having surgery he was made to wait in line at the pharmacy for his pain medication. I could keep going, but I think you get the point. This is the absolute worst medical facility I've ever seen.

When it comes to service (in person) at the VA I give it a 5, but when it's over the phone my waiting period could be over 20 minutes or more. I use to think that the Miami VA was bad, but at least they pick up.

Floor 9B Primary Care, one of the head nurses for a physician on the floor is in need of additional training. I spoke to a Jonathan and asked him to address the situation and recommend additional training for this woman. This nurse will continue to speak condescending to the wrong individual and continue to make a mistake when her emotions take over her logic and her license will possibly go under review. I know personally I will be making a complaint past your patience advocate team. There was a veteran in intense pain and she suggests mental health services and a walker when the man was pleading for help. This nurse needs training on how she should not gaslight her patients and on de-escalation so security doesn't need to be phoned each time she gaslights. I don't know her name but we'll call her nurse gaslight.

Wpb va hospital is excellent for surgery. Trying to call the hospital for any dept. Causes anxiety and I doubt that I'm the only one that feels this way.

If you can actually speak to a person willing to help, you have been blessed. On hold for 2 hours to fill a prescription, and make appointment with optometry. Still on hold, I'm going to be nice to the ones answering the phones, just make a callback option. Ask me what I want, call me back when you're ready. As it is now this is completely broken.

A few months ago, the transportation for the veterans from the parking lot to the building went smoothly. However, today I waited for said transportation vehicle and no one showed up. I called the VA transportation and no one answered. How are people with breathing and other motion problems (without an assistant) supposed to get to the building? Also, someone needs to call the parking lot elevator technicians to fix the elevators…

I WILL be honest I had to go to patients advocate several times to get issues resolved when it could have been done without the patient advocate so with that being said that tells you what you are dealing with when you go there.

No stars! Expect a 2+ hour wait after your scheduled appt. This place is horrible when it comes to honoring the appt time. It’s so disorganized that no other department talks to any other department, so no one knows what’s going on with anything. No one takes responsibility for the goofed up system. All they want is a paycheck, they could care less. -10 stars

I’m an 20 year Air Force Veteran and every time I try to get glasses at the West Palm Beach VA Hospital I have to wait at least an hour. I write my name on the sign up sheet and wait to be called, meanwhile I watch people randomly walking in who’s not on the list. I get so frustrated that I take my subscription to Walmart where it’s faster and friendlier.

I have been utilizing the West Palm Beach VA for the past 7 years and with the exception of a few glitches here and there, my care has been exceptional. Most of the people who work here are incredibly patient and dedicated and unfortunately they hear far more complaints than they do praises- I'd like to thank all of the hospital staff for taking such good care of me. The trick to navigating the VA medical system is to align yourself with a great primary care provider - without that, you are in for a very bumpy road. I am relocating to the Tampa area next week and hope that I will have the same kind of experience that I had here.

My husband had surgery at the VA in WPB today. Everyone we spoke to was professional, kind and caring. The care and attention he received was even better than other hospitals we've been to. Everything ran smoothly, on time and i was updated often by his surgeon and nurses. The nurses even offered blankets to family members In the waiting room to help keep them warm.thank you for such a good experience.

All you patients need to quit acting like you are priority. This is a hospital just like any other place except you are probably getting your medical for free. So you might have to wait just like a regular hospital!

I called down there today to the Women's Health Clinic to ask if you had a mammogram machine and staff GYN docs.

Pauline said, "Yes we do, come on in"

I'm located up in the trisate area and I'm selling my home here to move there for heathcare as there is in no in-house Women's heathcare here and it has really hurt my heart.

THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME HOPE AND BEING READY FOR MY ARRIVAL. I've been down there while visiting my mom and it is a great example of wonderful care.
I'm on my way.

Proud of all the people in this establishment, ones who take care of our Country's most precious treasures. Praying that the Lord watches over all who walk or wheel through the doors.
