Veterinary Center at Fishhawk, Lithia FL

Dr. Katie Thompson is the best of the best of vets. I have been taking my dogs which are my fur children to her for 20+years. She genuinely loves and cares about our babies and always ask about the family. She isn't pushy for extra labs or other stuff. I Love her and will always take my fur baby to her. The staff is also very caring, friendly and helpful.

WORST VET EVER. Do not go here, nothing about this place went well. Appointment schedule was wrong (I wrote it down while on the phone, and confirmed it before hanging up). After showing up for the correct time, getting told they don't have anything on the calendar for me, and rescheduling and coming back they tried to make me reschedule a third time because they had my dog listed as a cat in their system. Like who cares I just want to get my puppy vaccinated. They also billed me for the wrong service and it has been a nightmare trying to get that sorted. Save the headache, go somewhere else.

I brought my new furry family member here for vaccinations and a check-up. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Customers each get a private room to wait with their pet so it makes it less stressful on them. Prices are fair and the staff really shines!

Cannot say enough about Dr. DeWitt, the tech’s and this office. Truly a wonderful, calming experience for both my new pup and myself. They gave us so much insight and tips on raising a happy dog. Thank you so much! Looking forward to many years of wellness with you.

I prefer the drive to take my dogs to VeterinaryCenter of FishHawk for Dental Cleanings and this time emergency surgery vs.a ER vet office. Better care with a staff that cares. Dr. Berger is my 1st choice when my dogs need special medical attention or emergency care! Great practice!

So much care and love for the animals they see at the Vet Center at FH. They go above and beyond, listen to their patients people, and don't try to "upsell" you.

The staff and vets are very caring and explain in detail what the treatment plan will be. Kudos to Dr. Katie and her staff.

Dr Katie and her staff of professionals (Dr Ferguson) are amazing at what they do! I have been with this practice for many many years and have been satisfied to the highest level with their services provided to us. Keep up the great work and thanks for all you do for our furry family members.

We are new to the area and we were looking for a vet for our aging dog. So glad we found Dr. Katie. She won't gouge you with unnecessary procedures and is very thorough and professional. I don't think you could find a better vet for your pet.

9/15/22 my boxer was diagnosed with pancreatitis. Dr Ferguson was nothing short of amazing as was her staff. She was very thorough and excellent at explaining the illness she had targeted in laymans terms, compassionate and understanding, and Morgan was very patient and equally helpful with moving my dog to and from the back, explaining scripts and billing. Ladies at front desk equally kind and efficient. I truly love this place. Thank u all.

7/5/22 my boxer met Dr Katie today and I was so comfortable and at ease with her. She is so kind and knowledgeable and I just love the vets here. Dr Katie and Dr Ferguson a 5 from me.

They took our 2 cats in, last-minute and did not give us any difficulties. The vet tech was so friendly & helpful! Our kitties have new fingernails now (claw caps) so they can’t tear up our new furniture. Great alternative to declawing (which I am against). Black & clear nails for 2 handsome guys!

I truly cannot say enough kind words about Veterinary Center at Fishhawk. From the front desk to the techs and drs, everyone is so nice and knowledgeable. They go above and beyond compared to other vets we’ve been to. Dr. Katie Thompson literally saved our dogs life, so we are forever grateful!

I love Veterinary Centwr at Fishhawk! They have helped us with all our pets. Even one to the end of life. They never rush through exams or any situation that may come up. I have had a few different issues. I will continue to refer them and take my pets to them.

My dog was seen here and given meds and they refused to prescribe a med that will help with her liver issues that had helped her before and once she started to take the meds she started to deteriorate and stop eating and getting seizures and I know she was terminally ill but she ended up passing away faster, when I had taken her here to their office she was alert and was eating and I just wish i would off discontinue the meds she probably would it last us longer.

Our sweet, old family dog took a turn for the worst suddenly, and we had to make the incredibly hard decision to say goodbye. Dr. Ferguson and Jordan were phenomenal. They were so kind, understanding, patient, and explained every step thoroughly and with so much empathy. They were very gentle helping our dog get situated, and moved out our pace. We were grateful for the quiet time we were given with our girl, and she loved the Hersheys kiss they provided. We didn’t feel rushed at all, and we felt completely confident that our girl was in the best hands. We just got a sympathy card signed by the whole staff.this level of thoughtfulness is unheard of these days, and their kindness has truly meant so much to us.
