Veterinary Dermatology Center reviews
15Last option after two years of fighting skin problems with my dog. Our long time vet was out of ideas. The whole first experience from beginning to end here was wonderful. When you hear that they understand your worry and frustration for your pet it means everything!
I got a specialized allergy solution for my cat after being unsuccessful with three other vets with general advice. Four months later, the problem seems to be under control and my cat is not itchy and has all the hair around his neck back. (Knocking on wood.)
I have to admit my experience here is quite limited. I have been here several times but only to pick up a prescription that my son has ordered and pre-paid for. Every time I have been there I have been greeted quickly by their friendly staff. They have always had the medication right there at the front desk even this time when I had forgotten to pick it up for a week.
Amanda and Dr. Contreary are amazing. They are extremely nice to their patients and to their human counterparts. Me dog and cat love going there. You can tell they love animals and their jobs. Thanks for doing such an awesome job with Winston!
I am totally impressed with this veterinary dematology practice. From my first contact call, the extended office visit, and my inquiry call afterward, every single team member has been nothing short of friendly, professional, hard-working, helpful and informative. I imagine all the veterinarians and technicians are as excellent as those I saw today, Dr Katherine Doerr and Tina, Technician. My dog May has substantial environmental allergies and a secondary infection. These professionals ran the tests to get informed diagnoses, then presented proposed solutions. In May's case it entails twice a week bathing with a shampoo and daily application of a mousse, both specially formulated for her infection. Tomorrow I will begin her vials of antihistamine injections, with the hopes they will eventually desensitize her immense allergy problem. That modality worked with my allergic kitty years ago, and I have much confidence in Dr Doerr and team, so I am quite hopeful and optimistic. I would suggest prospective clients take a few minutes to research possible vet dermatologist practices before choosing one. I did, and I picked the one with far & away the best ratings and client comments. I am so glad I went there. Just walking into the establishment, I was greeted by helpful, friendly reception personnel, into an impeccably clean lobby.
Dr Doerr and staff are great!
Our dog has been suffering from skin rashes and major allergies for 3 years.and Dr. Doerr nailed it on the head with the treatments our dog is doing a 100% better.
Thank you so much, from Coco
The doctor was very thorough and kind. She treated our puppy well and all of the staff was very nice. However, be warned that if you bring in your animal, just to be seen is 200$. It would have been nice to have been informed prior to the appointment.
My pets are family so we are particular about any veterinarians that they see. This place is amazing with my dog. They always call and remind you of appointments and everyone in the office is very nice.
We saw Dr. Juarbe-Diaz, an animal behaviorist. She gave us lots of advice about how to treat our lab with separation anxiety and reactivity toward other dogs. The advice seems thorough and well grounded in science. We'll see how well it works!
This is more than a dermatology clinic. It is also an animal optomologist and general clinic. It is my wife's go-to when she's really concerned about one of our cats. Pricey but worth every penny!
This office was very efficient. I've been 3 times now. Staff is flexible on scheduling. Every one is kind. Dr. Has a great attitude! They're providing great care for my cat's eye problem.
Love this specialty clinic! The staff is very professional, and the doc takes time to explain everything in detail. Even if we need to hear it a few times. I'd highly recommend them if your pet has dermatological issues.
My dog has a skin condition and I went to this Dermatology Center hoping for results. In a twenty minute examination my dog had a skin test, blood work and I was given a bag of dog food, dog treats and a bottle of shampoo. Days later I was told my animal needed antibiotics and I would have to get them from another Vet. The cost for a twenty minute exam, skin test, blood work, dog food and shampoo was over eight hundred dollars and advice to get antibiotics from another Vet. I will let you decide if you should bring your pet to this clinic.
The vet was amazing with my cat and has done 2 phone check ups since last visit. This is the kind of care I expect to have.
