Treatment is done with respect and love. Staff is wonderful too. They're compassionate in handling my dog and me.

First visit for Rico of acupuncture, herbal medicines, homeopathy, and other complementary/alternative therapies -

The way Rico started wagging his tail again after a round of acupuncture and cold laser makes us a #believer!

Ok for minor problems but if your dog is really sick, go somewhere else.
Dr. Rimar’s menu of acupuncture and other treatments is ok for minor problems though ridiculously expensive. But when my dog was diagnosed with kidney disease, her approach was flawed. Diet is crucial in treating kidney disease and as I later learned, her recipes for home-made food contained too much protein for a dog with advanced kidney disease and she was extremely haphazard about information on quantities of ingredients—which is considered crucial in a diet for dogs with this disease. I’d have been so much better off with a basic vet who hydrated my dog and skipped the fancy diets, laser, and acupuncture.
Her procedure for carrying out euthanasia was traumatizing and very un-Zen (if Zen is supposed to mean spiritually enlightened and compassionate). On the morning of the day scheduled for euthanasia, she asked if I wanted yet another treatment before the euthanasia that afternoon. Maybe she has an explanation but it felt like just another fee added on to the bill. She did not explain the euthanasia process and began by sticking a needle with a drip in my dog and then left us alone for over half an hour while she went out to treat other patients. At that point, the process should have been comforting, fast, and painless. Then she came back to give him a final shot and that was it. I’ve had more sensitive and compassionate experiences at regular vets’ offices that don’t have Buddhas and meditation cushions scattered around. It was an appalling experience and her cavalier attitude made my dog and all of us more shaken and upset than we would have been elsewhere. Aside from this grim experience, during the time I saw her, there were multiple changes in staff and from what I saw, her treatment of staff members was high-handed and in one case, mean. The Zen front does not ring true in practice or behind the scenes. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Extremely disappointed that I put my trust into a veterinarian who did not earn that trust.
We saw Dr Rimar in Nov 2019, blood tests & all. There was never any mention of the disease that hurt & took my baby’s life less than 10 months later. A shame Rimar touts things that we were not “worthy” of. Please just get a second opinion.

Dr. Tiffany and staff made us feel like family when our Leila started to go here and when she was diagnosed with cancer. The services they offer here felt calming not only for Leila but us too. It also provided her with a better quality of life at the end when we did have to say goodbye. It truly feels like a family from the beginning to the end. Compassion and knowledge is what I associate when I think of the care they gave Leila. All staff members are very knowledgeable and want what is best for the animals not just a paycheck at the end of the day. If we end up getting other animals we will bring them here and of course refer or family and friends! Thank you Dr. Tiffany and staff! We are happy that you knew Leila.

Words will never be enough to express my gratitude for all Dr. Rimar and her staff have done and continue to do for my beloved Mac, almost 12 year old GSD. It’s been almost two years since we first walked through the doors of Veterinary of Healing Arts, and we’ve been blessed with their services from day one. Mac has degenerative disease within his spine. Five years ago, a disc in his cervical region ruptured up into his spinal column and had to have emergency surgery. We lived in Tennessee at the time and with Rehab and holistic care, Mac lived a happy life despite his inabilities. Life changed and I had to make a decision to move to Florida, but leaving his veterinarian care behind was terrifying for me. But, I found Dr. Rimar in the city where I moved to and to my astonishment.she was my Tennessee vet’s teacher for the art of acupuncture! What a Blessing! Dr. Rimar’s gifts give my Mac his very best life and his happiness is visible through and through, which makes this dog Mom very happy: -D

I cannot recommend Dr. Rimar and her fabulous staff enough! Dr. Rimar is very talented, knowledgable, and compassionate. Her entire staff is very welcoming and caring as well. They truly love every animal that comes through their front door. My first experience at Veterinary Healing Arts was with our 13 year old dog diagnosed with cancer. Dr. Rimar saw immediately how she could improve his quality of life, and gave us another HAPPY year and a half with him. Without Dr. Rimar's continued care, knowledge, and love he would not have made it another few months. Dr. Rimar was also just as supportive and understanding with my family, even when we were confused on what felt like the right path to take for our boy. We cannot thank Dr. Rimar enough for the amazing year and a half with our boy and quality of life that he had. She loved him like he was her own. Since Dr. Rimar was able to help our boy so much, our family has had her see our other dogs as well for numerous medical issues. From skin issues, arthritis, autoimmune disease, and even just to work on our new puppy, Dr. Rimar has been fantastic! All of our dogs come in so happy and know their routine. They love getting hugs and cookies from the technicians. Dr. Rimar has improved every single one of our dogs quality of life, and taught our family so much. Dr. Rimar and her staff truly care about their clients, and we cannot thank her enough for her continued guidance and care for our dogs and family.
