Villa Palma at the Village reviews
18Excellent food and service and a very comfortable atmosphere! Slow down and enjoy the fine dining!
Absolutely amazing! Second time there and I can’t wait to go back! We had the same waitress we had the first time and she is so knowledgeable of the menu! Any question I had, she knew the answer immediately and could describe everything about it. The special appetizer we had yesterday was top tier. The food is unparalleled with anything else in town, I’m not a good critique but I am judge mental of food and I have no complaints. Each dish had just the right amount of flavor, no ingredient overpowered another. The cocktails are insanely good too. Can’t wait to to go back and try something else!
Amazing food and enough for leftovers! Wonderful pianist playing in the bar area. I would highly recommend.
My wife and I visited this restaurant for our one year wedding anniversary. We were amazed by the food and service. There was a gentleman there playing on the piano and we loved the vibes. The food is absolutely amazing as well as the service. Two thumbs up!
We went with some friends to check this place out. We had high hopes but everything ended up just being so so. They were out of one of the appetizers we want. I ended up having a Caesar salad which wasn't zesty enough for me though the house made croutons were good. Then I had the scallops puttanesca. I loved all the olives and capers but the scallops were just fine. I would've loved for them to be seared and then put in the pasta. And then our tiramisú for dessert was honestly a little watery and lacked strong flavor. My favorite part of the meal was my Moscato which I loved-and would've had a second glass if the waitress had asked towards the end of the meal. Since it was nearing the end of the night, we weren't checked on much towards the end but otherwise the service was fine.
Been here many times.usually good but they must have changed the kitchen staff.last visit food was not good.for any of the 4 of us. Hope is gets better
We ordered a 2015 bottle of wine. We were never shown the bottle before tasting. It was a 2017. I ordered filet, medium, with red wine Demi glaze. It came as 2 thin slices, was well done and swimming in sauce. Their market price was $51! Very disappointed!
Other meals were fine.
Obsessed! The piano player was awesome the staff was so friendly and the food and drinks were incredible! Such a sexy little spot for a date night
First edit: So glad we went back! We were so happy. We had 2 specials (Trufle Alfredo and Lobster Ravioli), mussels as an appetizer, and a bottle of wine, and it was all great! I will say, go early, or make reservations. They were busy, but the staff was energetic and inviting, and the food was great! Thanks for the wonderful experience, all!
Second edit: I wasn't sure if I had already edited a review that just mentioned an experience we had when showing up pretty well before closing and being turned away. Since then we've been back many times and enjoyed our experiences everytime.
Last night's experience was just a great reminder of why we keep going. We had the Shrimp Gnocchi Alla Vodka and the Eggplant Rollatini and they were both mind blowing! Oh, and the mussels as an appetizer which were also delicious! Just can't say enough about how happy we are to have such a great establishment nearby to enjoy a peaceful evening with great food. Already looking forward to our next visit!
Surprised my husband for his birthday. We didn't have a reservation, but we were seated quickly and the server was amazing. Very attentive, polite, quick, and observant. The food was phenomenal, the biscotti Old Fashioned was fantastic, and the restaurant is clean and cozy. Highly recommend!
While I agree with many people's comments regarding the ombiamce of this restaurant, I cannot give them 5 stars.
When we arrived the restaurant was almost empty so we were given prompt service and our waitress was really nice, we choose a bottle of wine which meant she didn't have to check on us for drinks. We ordered mussels for the appetizer and they were really good as was our house salad (amazing dressing) but both of our main courses were less than warm and I ordered the seared scallops special which you would think would definitely be kept warm or somewhat hot?
Although our meals were not very warm they were very good but I am surprised that the chef nor waitress even noticed?
~ chef, should have noticed it sitting for so long not being delivered
~ waitress, from the feel of the plates?
And, no we did not send it back. To many horror stories.
Sorry, but we will not be returning.
Wishing you all the best in 2023!)
The absolute best meal and service that I’ve had. I wish I had taken pictures, but I was too good to stop.
We went to Villa Palma last night to celebrate my daughter's birthday and had a lovely evening. Every dish was outstanding - from the whipped mozzarella with honey and crushed pecans, to the Caesar and arugula salads, bread with olive oil, chicken rolatini (both variations) and linguini Mother Theresa. We were seated at a table with a river view and could actually hold a conversation with each other, which seems to be increasingly hard to do in restaurants. There was a young man playing piano in the bar area, and it added a great deal to the nice ambiance instead of distracting from it - he was extremely talented.
We did not partake of dessert since we had cake waiting for us at home, but the choices were very appealing. Our server Nic was friendly and relaxed, but very professional and on top of things.
We will definitely go back soon and highly recommend this wonderful restaurant! Thank you for helping us celebrate in style, Villa Palma!
Second time here. I ate every single bite! So good! I love the bread with olive oil and parmesan cheese. House salad was yummy with added blue cheese crumbles, fried ravioli was delicious as were the clams linguine and filet marsala. Classic Italian done right.
We had an amazing experience at Villa Palma tonight! We came in without a reservation and the hostess was able to seat us a bit secluded because our baby was sleeping in his car seat. We didn't even ask for that! Our waitress, Lyndsey, was just phenomenal! She checked on us regularly throughout the evening and it made the difference in our experience! We have traveled around the world and this was one of the best Italian places we had ever been to! We're so lucky that we stumbled on this little gem while we were visiting for the day! We'll definitely be back!
Delicious, charm interior, good live piano music, yummy food. I am vegetarian and pasta Primavera was awesome!
We had our Anniversary dinner here and I can’t say enough good things. The service and food was exceptional. The view was beautiful. They had a special dessert for us and a complimentary lemon sorbet palet cleanser between courses! Would highly recommend for a date night or special occasion
