Elevator stop working when there was us and four other people, and the front desk blamed us for to many people in the elevator with no signs saying that there was a limit and I know us seven didn't weigh the 2500. Rude front desk staff. Room was nice, balcony super small. Not sure if staff has to deal with rude people so the just stay mad, but because of dealing with them our day was almost ruined, but still made the trip amazing on our own

After booking and THEN reading reviews, I was very nervous but seriously, it was not bad at all! Is it old? Yes. Does it need some work? Yes? BUT, With all that’s gone on in two years, it’s totally fine! While it was disappointing the restaurant was closed, it just made us get out and adventure more!
The location is IDEAL to the historic downtown area and enough away from the noise and hustle and bustle of tourists. The front desk ladies could not have been nicer and yes, there was a white board with messages but neatly and clearly written.

I guess my only suggestion would be to update photos on the internet to show more current views.

Tony and I spent the night at Villa Victor by Ascend Hotel in St Augustine. The hotel is very nice and the best part was the location. It's located about a block from everything, loved the location 100% of the time!

The King Size bed was comfy and room was clean. The balcony was very nice. The outside pool was very small. The cafe and bar closed and the parking was $15. So, there was some major negatives. The one major scary one was the elevator acted up several times!

I would stay again because of the location only and the balcony!
WiFi was pretty good!

Hotel location is great. However, customer service is a negative 5 stars. This is suppose to be the top.of the line Ascend for Choice. Stayed here July 3rd. Receptionist at check in was rude beyond belief, didn't care if you stayed there or not. Bill board up stating the breakfast line is closed unr.further notice and house keeping will try and get to you if you Ned something. These things should be known upfront before booking or the price should be reduced. Rooms aren't cleaned well, and the towels are so worn they need to be replaced. I will never stay at this property again and.im.a platinum member. Ask to check out an hour later was told no, that's also a benefit for being a platinum member. So basically at this property you will be treated rudely, no
Breakfast, room service if your lucky, don't ask to use your benefits as a member at a premium price.

The location of this place is the only reason I didn't give this place a 1 star. It's in a super easy walking dist
ance to the Historic district. Other then that. We were shockingly disappointed in this being a part of the Accend collection. This place reminded me of a run down Econolodge. Staff was basic and underwhelming. The rooms were ok but very low level. The lobby was messy and seemed unappealing. The pool was a no thanks, for us, we
usually always hit the pool at every hotel. The extra parking charge they snuck in was a definite deal breaker for me. They had a vast amount of available parking and still charged theme park style parking fees. They need to rename this one Motel 6 or something similar. The Accend on the Beach in St. Augustine Beach is far superior and about the same price considering this
one charges a exorbitant parking fee and the nice one doesn't. Stay at the other one. You will thank me.

Stayed here recently and I can say the only nice thing about this hotel is the location as it is close to downtown. It seems to be a reoccurring complaint that the receptionist is rude and I can concur with this general statement. Natoya I believe is her name and I watched her treat several guest in front of me with an attitude only to be treated the same way when I checked in. If you don't like where you work, find another job. Don't make everyone who is checking in for vacation miserable as well. Our room had food crumbs all over it, the TV did not work, and the bathroom had no air circulation and the door was spring loaded so it would keep shut the entire time making it almost unbearable to want to be in the bathroom during this summer heat wave. I would never ever ever spend another dime at this property.

An older hotel but nice. Locations can't be any better for exploring old city St. Augustine. Food, sight seeing and entertainment right out the front door.

Very close and walking distance to the main strip! There is a parking fee and hold on your credit card when you get there. Everything was clean and quiet which was nice. It does show a bar and breakfast online which I was really excited about and the main reason I chose the villa. However, doesn’t show online until you get there that you see nothing is open. The Tv didn’t work either in our room. Little disappointed and not worth the money in my opinion.

I do a lot of traveling with my company and have stayed at several different types of hotels. This hotel has always been my favorite. Natoya the hotel representative will always greet you with a sincere smile. Her kind voice makes you feel at home. I will continue to come back here primarily because of the service I receive from her. Without Natoya this hotel wouldn’t be the same.

Terrible experience! My room was almost $200 and it was basic nothing special no balcony nothing! We get there in the pool is green and closed with no notice! No coffee! No breakfast! Bar closed! Big dry erase board sing limited housekeeping services! Was not offered any room upgrade for the inconvenience or anything we were asked if we just wanted to go ahead and cancel even after I told the front desk that we drove two hours and had this trip planned for months, very rude and did not care whatsoever! My room overlooked the rooftop Of the entrance! Absolutely nothing was as described, I would not recommend! As a choice privilege rewards member for over 20 years this is absolutely one of the worst experiences I have had with a choice hotel!

Location is great. Close walk to downtown and there is a convenience store across the street. Room was decent. Losing stars because the amenities are non-existent. No breakfast. Not even prepackaged items. Pool and hot tub closed with no explanation. Wasn’t even told this at checkin. And the front staff is pretty rude for no reason. All in all it’s fine if you want to overpay for a very basic hotel

I was traveling with a friend. When we booked this hotel we chose it for the amenities that were offered online. Once we arrived however, NONE of the amenities were available. No pool, no hot tub, no breakfast, no bar, and worst of all, no apologies or offers to rectify other than say we could cancel if we didn’t like it. The only thing offered was insanely overpriced snacks and beverages in a room with an alarm. On top of this, the customer service is astoundingly terrible. The woman at the front desk when we arrived acted like we were bothering her by checking in. I can’t even believe how incredibly rude she was. Some of the other employees spent their time sitting on a bench outside the entrance smoking. There was also a whiteboard sign sitting in the lobby warning customers not to ask for anything because housekeeping staff was short handed. I will NEVER book a room here again. What a waste of $200!

We stayed in the Villa Victor hotel in St. AUGUSTINE THIS PAST WEEK. I WOULD give it a 1 star because it's location is in walking distance to alot. As far as the hotel itself I feel was a disappointment. I booked this hotel specifically because it has a restaurant within it, and since I have two kids this was convenient. And on the website it advertised for this restaurant but when we got there it is closed down completely (still advertised as open on website) then the women at the front desk are very rude. When you walk in they dont even look up or acknowledge you. The one lady was on a personal call on her cell phone and We stood there for a few minutes while she was on her call and then I asked her for sheets and blankets and a pillow for the pullout couch in the room and she literally rolled her eyes at me. Then she came back with the sheets and blanket but no pillow so I asked for the pillow and she gave me a laudable sigh and then went back to get the pillow. The rooms were not bad but definitely not as nice as advertised (they must have hired a good photographer to take those pics lol) Thankfully we were out most of the time but our next trip will unfortunately definitely be at a different hotel.

Misleading scam! They advertise that there is a bar and breakfast. BOTH were closed. Also they charge an additional $15 for parking. There are Many other hotels to stay at in St Augustine

Location is the best part. The bar was closed the whole time we were there, we have very infrequent room service so our trash and towels piled up. And our room smelled bad because the ac unit constantly dripped water on the carpet, which is unsanitary esp.long term. Also, the elevator was dirty. We love saint Augustine so we enjoyed being able to walk downtown, but we won’t be back to this particular hotel.

Disgusting rooms with roaches, tv didn’t work the entire stay and when complaining to manager she said we shouldn’t care about roaches because we’re in Florida? Then she made a racist comment towards my husband saying she knew he was a (racial slur) and that we were trying to get a freebie. She’s a Arabic women that works in the morning claiming she’s the manager. With someone like that running the business it’s only a matter of time until they close down

Very nice looking room and lobby. The floor lamp was quite dusty on the base but other than that, very clean. The pool could use a refresh. Everything else is wonderful.
