Village Tavern reviews
18 Nice decor & space. Terrible dim lighting. Food terrible. Service great. They gave us one free plate because of the first one being burnt.
Caesar salad is regular store-purchased salad with little bit of sauce-very average and mundane. The Filet Mignon Tacos I ordered, had fat in the meat making one of the tacos almost inedible. You can't chew this kind of fat. Had to constantly remove it from my mouth because you can't see it either. The guacamole and salsa inside wasn't great. The rice and black beans seem store-made and nothing special.
The flatbread spicy chicken was extremely spicy and HOT. Filled with red peppers and green peppers overbearing everything else. The first time they brought it. It was burned. The second time, it tasted alright but the dough they use is Whole-Wheat, which makes it absolutely disgusting flatbread.
The servers were very nice and they gave us a free flatbread due to it being burnt the first time.
They seem to have tried their best. The problem is that their cooks are not good.
The food was delicious and our server, Elijah, was the absolute best! We’ll definitely be back!
Village tavern is a favorite because everything I order there is always delicious. The service is always friendly, courteous and efficient. Nice place highly recommend.
Went recently and was delighted AGAIN! Food is great as always and our server, Leonardo, was friendly and so professional. He made sure our entree was prepared correctly and made our meal very enjoyable.
No towels in bathroom and no toilet paper. People were using toilet paper to dry hands.and ran out. No one in the restaurant did anything about it. Several people told them about it
Dine in often for many years. Ask for Leonardo for best professional and friendly service. Delicious food and have the butter cake for dessert. Anxiously awaiting the return of corn chowder …
It was my first time eating here. I ordered the beet salad with chicken. I didn't like the taste, and the chicken was bland (no seasoning), but the overall service was great! I forgot the waiter's name, but he was on point! He looked at each one of us and repeated our orders back to us without looking at the paper. I thought that was amazing. The atmosphere was great as well.
I normally dont eat pizza, so I ordered but tjey should have more optios for vegetarian, tjey have burguer and pizza and salad but vegetarians eat more than that, but stiil it was a very good pizza, tjats what i gave them 4 stars
Great food, had the bacon jam burger & chicken bacon grill… unfortunately couldn’t try the apple cobbler as it was sold out, but nonetheless it was amazing.great service from LG & the managers.perfect medium burger, & the drinks were perfect.
Alcohol is not served until 11am, keep that in mind when going in for Brunch which is supposed to be from 10-3.
Sorry to say the seafood items we ordered were very fishy and did not seem freah. The crab dip was very fine shredded crab meat - no lump. The shrimp risotto smelled fishy from across the room when we opened the container. I assume our experience was unusual since there are many positive reviews for seafood, so I don't understand what happened. I'm writing this review at 4: 30am because I'm awake because my stomach is reacting to the food.
Went for dinner. Ordered the prime rib and was told I would get two sides. I asked if I can get the Brussel sprouts and a garden salad. I was told yes but when I got the bill I got charged 8 dollars for the salad. When I asked the server about it he just said “sorry” and made no attempt to take the charge off. If there is going to be an up charge then tell the customer that! Don’t just say yes then put it on the bill. Aggrevating
Again, as always, GREAT service, GREAT drinks, and GREAT food. Thanks Ashtyn & Matt. Happy hour 7 days a week - my favorite!
Great experience as always, the only thing I wish is that they had more apple cobblers they are always out and I eat here often.
Celebrated our friends bday and Leonardo, our server, made it extra special! Thank you Leonardo!
A busy place, so reservations recommended. Shrimp and grits entree is the best. Our server, Elijah, was fantastic!
Leonardo was amazing the service he provided was outstanding. The food was great can't wait to come back
Excellent steak and side dishes. Consistency is good for a restaurant, and Village Tavern is very consistent with great food and service
My first visit there and it was pretty impressive. The receptionist was attentive in advising the wait & made sure she kept me posted. The atmosphere and the server was fantastic from the wine choice to dinner-he had fish, I had chicken. Both delicious. I was afraid of parking but they had more parking on the left side of the restaurant which was perfect. They have a bar on the opposite side which you could hardly hear it in the seating area. I would definitely recommend.
