Vision Unlimited at Sunset, Coral Gables FL

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I have been to multiple locations including Doral, Sunset, Kendall, FIU, and this by far has been the only bad experience I have encountered. This location is so unprofessional. The staff lacks common sense, basic manners, and they are very disorganized as I was misinformed by several employees, including the very rude and unprofessional “manager” Maria or Marie not so sure what name the staff gave me. The staff also gave me the name of a manager Caroline but I’ll refer to the manager as Maria since 2 staff gave me this name. I had a contract with them and I was set to finish my financed contacts March 2023. Apparently, I owed $200 and I was never charged but because I suspected some debt, I called and confirmed with them if they had any pending charges on my account. I spoke to several employees who reassured me in March 2023, that I indeed did not owe money. On November 2023, I received a call from Maria, the manager, with poorly customer service skills, stating my $200 debt was long overdue. At the time, I was having financial difficulties and unable to pay what I thought was already paid since I was told back in March that nothing was owed. We scheduled a call for December 22 at 4: 00 PM, on my pay day so that we can arrange a payment. Maria decided to call my mother, who was on file but nothing to do with my financial expenses as I am a grown independent adult who no longer lives with his mother. Her attitude was nasty, she was disrespectful, and she makes the title “manager” be a joke as it can be given to anyone nowadays. I myself, as a manager have never encountered another manager as disrespectful and poorly spoken individual. I later contacted Maria once again to see if we can arrange something or if I can speak to someone in a higher position that her, due to the fact I was unsatisfied with the treatment. She said no 2 times since she’s the only manager and no one else is higher than her but after insisting 1 last time she said the doctor. I agreed to speak with him but before I knew it she hung up on as if I wasn’t speaking to her. Never come to this location, the manager is supposed to be a representation of the company but she gives this company a bad look.

This place doesn't know how to manage its time. They are never in their office. Why do they have the schedule posted on the door if when you arrive at the premises there is no one there? Recently my son had a bad encounter with the person who is supposedly the manager of the store. They gave us the name María but when you search online the name comes up Carolina. Please know how to manage your establishment. The manager has to learn to control herself and have better customer service. Also, it wasn't my son's fault that the employees here don't know how to do the minimum job of just taking money from the card. I am not behind my son's payments but I know that he never owes anything. He doesn't live with me but he knows how to manage his money. She is young and has better behavior than the supposed manager here.

I was a witness on how the so called “Manager” of this location mistreated one of the patients through a phone call and wasn’t being understanding. She was rude and very disrespectful. I don’t know how vision unlimited picks and hires their manager but this lady has 0 costumer service skills. No manager should ever speak like that to their clients.

What a lovely experience! We were greeted promptly and felt welcomed from the start.
Dr Albert Lagomarsini, Alexis, Carolina, and Natalie are true caring health Professionals who treated our loved one (and me) with the outmost care. Their professionalism, kindness, and warmth, is a breath of fresh air. Natalie was extremely knowledgeable, and helpful. We are very grateful to her, for all the time, support, kindness and patience she offered to our loved one during the selection process of her eye glasses. All done in an elegant and relaxing office.

I do not recommend this place to anyone, it is nice and clean but in terms of giving test results they are not good, they give tests that they do not perform on patients, in my case I went with my 5 year old son, according to them they dilated his pupils when they never did, they make me pay a co-pay of $30 dollars for glasses that they prescribe and according to them my son's insurance does not fully cover it, when I call them to make the claim about pupil dilation; They tell me that a machine that takes a photo of the eye took it.by God, no one was so ignorant not to know what pupil dilation is; what nerve! I called the insurance and they told me that I should not have made that $30 co-payment because my son's insurance covers 100% and they have a range of glasses that are not paid for unless I buy branded ones, which lacks honesty and respect for patients!

Amazing service, and very helpful with selecting frames that fit best for your particular look.

The eye doctor, eye tech and Natalie the vision wear specialist were incredible today. They were patient with me and extremely thorough. Very happy with my experience at VU. Highly recommend.

The only reason I am giving them one star is because the doctor was very kind and patient with my elderly father. My father is 84 years old, has glaucoma and is hard of hearing. He has been going to Vision Unlimited for about 5 years (he was at the Kendal location before). When this office opened up we switched last year. Our first visit last year was fine, but this year was the most horrible experience. First, the doctors assistant who measured my fathers pressure, gave the eye exam etc.walks out of the exam room complaining out loud how she "couldn't handle him anymore, that he was hard of hearing and could barely see"! All this as I sit in the waiting room hearing this rude woman talk bad about my father! Once the exam was done, another girl asked if we were getting glasses, I responded yes. She then explained what his benefits cover, and I explained it in detail to my father. I showed him a pair and he wanted clarification again as to what he needed to pay. Remember 84 years old! So I explained again and he said well then I am not paying that amount - thank you very much but we will go somewhere else. (which with insurance they should have showed us options they covered-which they didn't) To which the girls sarcastically "ok you do that.and walks away. I then had a few choice words for her and the assistant on how they needed to learn to have patience and empathy with elderly clients! So please don't ever send your elderly family members to this horrible place. And my recommendation to the owners of this place.you have security cameras at every corner of that store. You should really play back the footage on how your employees talk and treat your customers.

The staff at Vision Unlimited at Sunset is amazing, the team is very professional and efficient, they exceeded my expectations, they will make you feel that you are family, I would happily recommend their services, at my last visit the doctor explained all the details of my new prescriptions and the changes on my vision he was very patient and explanatory, overall is pleasure always going back, I really recommend for you to book your next appointment, they will take care of you in a magnificent way.

I loved it, they were very friendly, I will continue to see that place, Marcos helped me, he is very kind and speaks perfect Spanish and he was very affectionate with my son ;). I recommend this place

My first time in this office and I was impressed with the new machines, so advanced, and the staff, all very friendly, very efficient, they really know their job very well and very coordinated! Happy with my experience here. To return to! I recommend it.

I was so pleased with my visit today at the clinic. Carolina was so friendly and thorough in explaining every step of the visit as she checked my eyes. She was so nice and very professional. Dr Lagomarsini was great too! He made sure to go into details in explaining my condition. Lastly, Natalie was so patient with me in helping me find the right pair of glasses to fit my face. Got glasses at this store months ago. Went back today because the right arm got very loose lately and I was not able to tighten it up.
Very disappointed when I have been asked for money to put a better screw in it. I left.

First time coming here and the experience coming in right from the door was exceptional. The service from the reception was very welcoming and friendly. Lots of variety for picking out the perfect glasses while you wait to be seen. I’ve already referred family to come to this place. Definitely recommend to everyone else
