9By far the best outdoor range I’ve been to, all the lanes are clean and well taken care of. RSO’s on the range were friendly and informative. Nobody is breathing down your neck but the team there are helpful for any questions you may have. Was able to get in a couple hours of rifle to pistol transitioning with a lane all to myself, that’s unheard of! $25 for all day Mon. & Wed. (Non-member)
Self Defense Fundamentals-Rifle
I recently attended this class on August 27.
I was extremely excited about attending this training class. After the class was over, I immediately decided that I would be attending this class again! Herfel and his assistant trainers are excellent and on point with educating all of us on how to handle a rifle based on their experience and up to date training and physics based information from the firearms industry. I could go on and on about the fun no I had and the great information that I received to allow me to improve by the class conclusion. The class opened my eyes to how to effectively hold and handle the rifle to my body and gain faster target acquisition among other valuable information. My final words- SIGN UP IMMEDIATELY FOR THE NEXT CLASS whether it is the rifle or pistol class, you will not be disappointed in this FUN and RELAXING classes atmosphere.

Highly recommend all of the courses from Herfel, you will not regret it. Very skillful instructor, he will help you polish your skills and make you a way better with the firearms
I've been going to this range for 13 years now. It has expanded tremendously and offers something for everyone. Talk to people, ask questions, and learn about the various events held weekly. Try something new!
If I could give less than 1 star I would. The owner of the super rude place. He treats his customers badly. I would not return here after 3 years of membership.
I took the NRA RSO class and recommend anyone interested in being a RSO to take it with them.
Great place for serious shooting practice. NOT your typical public gun range. Not confined to lanes. Can focus on developing gun skills without worrying about some yahoos waving guns around.
People are great. Friendly Safety Officers. Offers very high quality classes, starting at a beginner level by certified instructors.

Im a new member and rarely write reviews, VCGHC is INCREDIBLE! Large beautiful property, super fun world of steel shooting section (main reason I joined). Private lanes that are first come first serve. The Owner and Staff are extremely friendly and courteous and safety is #1 priority here. Highly recommend
