Walgreens Pharmacy, Ellenton FL

Absolutely miserable people working in the pharmacy. Every time I’m there they are rude, impatient and with zero knowledge. The pharmacist was arguing with someone on the phone, the person working the window was complaining that too many people were coming in, and the person helping me look like it was a late night out.

We had an appointment for covid boosters and flu shots. Had to stand in a long line with people picking up medicine. Since we are high risk, we thought this is a terrible way to treat people who are trying to avoid covid. When we reached the front, the lady had a good bit of attitude about all of our covid boosters not being on our covid card. (This was actually was not our fault since where we received them before didn't bother to fill the card out). She gave me a bunch of forms to fill out and had me once again stand in line when they were completed. She continued being very officious and very sharp and got very upset with us when she got irritability back from us. She had no idea that she was dealing with people who did not need to be in a crowd and that neither of us are able to stand for even short periods. She actually walked away and left me standing at the window for about ten minutes. She never came back. Finally another woman apologized saying she thought we were being helped. Then they said that we would have to wait behind others who wanted a shot. I again had to be very short with them, that our appointment time was over 30 minutes before. We finally got to the shot area only to find that they had failed to get the flu shot, saying that's OK isn't it. I actually had to say no it isn't ok. We came for both and we are getting both. The last woman was very nice and got both injections for us.
In short it took over an hour to get two tiny shots that take 5 minutes to give. Appointments are meaningless and no one looks to see what you made an appointment for. You are not told what to bring to your appointment and people are quite rude about it. Don't go here for injections. It's strictly secondary in importance to the other pharmacy business. It looked like people were waiting a long time for prescription fills also however.
