After driving 3 hours with my wife and kids to see a vehicle there, I arrived and they brought the vehicle clean and started. Eager to take me on a drive. However the vehicle had many scratches not shown on photos, reflected in the price or disclosed on the description. * After turning it off to check the engine belts and hoses and then attempting back on, the vehicle would Not start. **They then admitted the vehicle left them at the gas station and had to be jump started. ***They called me to make sure I was coming, But they could not call me to let me know of this…To prevent me from making the full trip…. Or to take the time to check the vehicle further, before attempting to make the sale. ****They claimed service Dept closed at noon. ******However, they should have stopped the sale process, to connect the car to a computer and further evaluate electrical systems and battery. And revisited the sale process at a later date if necessary. If I had not checked the vehicle thoroughly I would have left with the vehicle and had the problem on my own driving home later that night with my wife and kids. ***I would Not trust this dealership.

Ordering a car and waiting months for its arrival leaves opportunities for something to fall thru the crack but I can happily report that the staff at Wallace VW kept tabs on my car reservation and once it arrived worked hard to secure the best financing (Thanks Steve!) and make my new car experience a good one. Thanks Lester for making it easy to trade in my vehicle. Thanks Sharon for knowing so much about the ID. 4 that I felt comfortable driving it off the lot.

On October 21,2022, I traveled to Stuart with my son to go to the beach. Around 3 pm I went to Wallace Volksgagen Dealer because I saw a check engine light and I was worried that I would not be able to drive back home to Ft. Lauderdale. When I walked in one of the men told me he couldn't do anything because all his guys were sent home since they were slow. But then another man came up and said that they could take a look at the car and a little while later he told me it was a sensor and that it would cost $497, including $300 for labor. I asked him if it would be safe to drive back home and I was told that it was not recommended. So I decided to do the work. I waited about 1hr and 30 minutes. A few weeks later the same engine light came on. This time I took it to Gunther Volksgagen in Ft Lauderdale and the diagnosis was that a transmission part needed to be replaced. I was told that this
was the problem from the beginning and that Wallace did not do the right diagnostic. I called Joe Dayton who is the manager and the same man who sold me the sensor and explained that they had misdiagnosed my car. He acted very defensive and refused to accept any responsibility for the wrong diagnosis. The mechanic in Ft Lauderdale even tried to convince him but he kept denying any responsibility. I felt taken advantage of and deceived. I would not recommend this place because of the lack of honesty and poor customer service.

I never have any issues scheduling service with David, he even squeezes me in when I know there is a problem. Have had fantastic previous experience with your dealership (purchasing & service) & wouldn't think about going anywhere else.

Mark, my service consultant was amazing. He answered every question i had and made sure he would call me for updates. I don't trust mechanics but he put me at ease. Definitely will go back for my vehicle needs.

Felt I needed to refresh this review, the below review somewhat still holds with the service department, However the car buying was the one star, we bought a 2019 jetta gli 35th and that car purchase was 5 stars. Returned 1 year later to buy a VW Atlas and was treated poorly, firstly before showing us anything they wanted our credit app and we were upfront with our not so perfect credit from the start.the salesman didn't even want to show us an Atlas because credit was used as an excuse, and were brushed off. We went to sunrise vw the same day and drove off with a fully loaded atlas cross sport instead of the base model at wallace.the payment was still in the price range we said we could afford, and both dealers use the same capital one auto finance. Sunrise didn't hesitate and showed us 5-6 atlas's and cross sports explained differences and prices with trim levels and test drove different models until we found the one we liked. After repeated request to not be called and after stating we will NOT be returning to wallace again we constantly get cold calls, cementing my feeling that the dealership truly dosen't care or listen to of all a repeat customer of which I will no longer be.

Been to this dealer countless times for parts for our 2000 VW Cabrio. The guy at the parts counter dosen't just guess at what I might need he actually takes time to get me the right part and goes above and beyond what other VW dealers in Florida have.and the sales staff even though I've never bought a car from them or serviced my car there recognize me when I walk in and always happily point me to the parts counter. To all the negative reviews Volkswagon's are over engineered german cars things break and go wrong they are machines as with any other car company. But if well maintained (as most people neglect) and taken care of will last a long time had a number of jetta's, golf's, and a scirocco all needed sometimes expensive parts that didn't last long but was covered under a warranty and fixed again the last jetta I drove had over 300,000 miles on it with just routine maintnence done and was sold and the new owner still drives it 2 years later everyday. You may get a few bad parts but when you get the right one fixed it'll be a good car. Thanks wallace for helping keep our 18 year old cabrio on the road and running.
