Appointment for 1pm and vehicle didn’t even get taken into a bay until 3pm. Asked to check out so I could leave as soon as my car was finished, but couldn’t even do that to help get me out in a more timely manner. Watched several issues with other customers the entire time I sat waiting for my vehicle to be serviced. Customers constantly forgot about when they were put on hold. Management repeated told the staff to not leave the counter to help customers, but staff repeated left the front desk unattended.

This is specifically for the autocare center of Destin walmart. I needed new tires before going on an early holiday trip in december. I called them about availability of my tires. After putting me on hold for nearly 20 minutes they told me they have them. I setup an appointment for the next day to have the tires installed. When I got there, they told me they didn't have them. No apology or anything. They just told me to order them online which would take 3 weeks to arrive. I missed that trip because I couldn't trust my old tires on such a long drive. I purchased the new tires online and eventually they installed them for me (no issues that can remember during this process).

Three weeks later, as I was leaving for work I discovered that one of the tires was flat. I went back to this location to have them tell me there was an "inexplicable leak" on the inner side of the tire, and therefore it could not be fixed. So I had to buy a new one again (FYI, it would have been a free replacement if I had originally gotten roadside assistance or whatever). The mechanic assured me it would probably take 30 minutes to replace the tire, up to an hour in the worst case. THREE hours later I got a text saying they were now working on my vehicle. This was after I told my boss multiple times that I would be at work by 12pm then 1pm then 2pm. The store didn't even call me when it was finished. I noticed one of the mechanics holding my keys asking his fellow employees if anyone knows what these keys are for. They charged me for the new tire and service and didn't even look at me while they did it.

The only positive note is that I called the manager and he "looked into it" so apparently it's all better now. I have lost a vacation and an entire day's salary along with a few days of my sanity because of this department's incompetence and rudeness.

I dont have any real complaints about the rest of the store, but there is a sense of unapologetic, customer neglect on the part of their autocare center.

I can honestly say this is the worst service I’ve ever received.

I came in for a simple battery replacement under warranty.
When I arrived I walked in and said hello to the lady at the counter to which I was ignored. She proceeded to make two phone calls to customers about their cars, all the while still has not acknowledged I’m there.

Once she completed her calls she simply asks “what do you want” to which I replied that I’d like to swap out a bad battery. She proceeds to ignore me further while she tests and processes the return. She has trouble with the return, and is visibly and verbally upset that her system is giving her trouble. She called another man in from the shop area, and proceeded to boss him around on how to operate the computer, mind you she is the one asking for his help. She finally calls for a CSM from the front.

After calling a CSM and having me wait this whole time, she proceed to deny another walk-in customer a simple tire check where they were concerned of a nail. Complains constantly about the people walking in, and cussed about these “damn customers” when the phone rings a few times during this period.

The CSM was able to very easily complete what should have been a simple swap, and was very nice and professional.

I however was fed up at this point, and let the CSM (Devin) know about her attitude toward customers.

I certainly hope this lady is completely retrained, or let go. She has no place in a customer service business if she cannot keep her cool, and not bad mouth customers (in front of customers)

This is my 2nd interaction with this lady weeks apart and both have been identical. Poor treatment of staff in her department, and poor treatment of customers.

I will be taking this information to a corporate level as I feel she needs to be removed.

Ordered tires during their early Black Friday sale. Set an appointment for 6 pm on the 15th so I could get them installed after work. Got a call close to noon that they needed to bump the appointment up to 2pm so rearranged my schedule to get there. Apparently they close at 4pm but you can book an appointment after that still. After two hours got my truck back. Had the wrong tires on it. Service center is closed so they can’t replace them with the right ones. Took an hour for them to even find the right tires. Didn’t seem to care at all that they made the mistake to begin with. While trying to sort this out I had a death in the family and needed to leave. Once I left and got up to speed realized the tires were so out of balance that I wasn’t even going to be able to take the interstate to get to where I needed to go. Turned a three hour drive into a four and a half hour drive. Overall I’d say one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had dealing with a business. Would not recommend going there for anything.

Awful. Went in for a tire problem because my sensor said tire was low. They told me I needed two new tires because they said one tire had a nail in the side wall, and the other one was worn down. I bought them, but when I came to pick up my vehicle, I asked to see the tire with the nail in it. They could not find it. They brought out a tire that was obviously not my tire with a big fat screw in it. I told them that was not my tire. After 20 minutes, I was told some stupid story and just left. I went to Disney the next day, confident that my tire worries we’re over. Shockingly, that tire/sensor starts going flat again. They sold me two tires that I did not need. Also very fishy that they couldn’t produce my tire with a nail in it upon request. $400 spent and I still have a flat tire. When I returned from Disney, I went back to get it fixed. Three big men were sitting in chairs with Walmart auto service uniforms on at 4 PM. They told me they were closed due to staffing issues and they couldn’t look at my tire. Certainly one of those three big men could’ve looked at a tire during business hours. How awful. Zero customer service. Zero empathy. Embarrassing for Walmart. Beware! This is the Walmart in Miramar Beach Florida.

Hours says open until 7pm. I was there at 315 and they informed me they couldn't take anymore customers because they were closing at 4pm. After waiting in line for almost 30 minutes.

The tire center in Destin has the worst work flow of any business I have ever been to. I came in with a leaking tire possible patch needed.
I couldn't find the problem to plug it.

This tire center has atleast 10 people circulating in and out most have not touched one car in over an hour. They are only putting 3 cars in the shop at a time. I've watched employees walk around in circles holding their lunch, one go sit in his vehicle multiple times (different guy).
It appears they need a new Manager/Coach for this dept.

The mechanics were amazingly helpful even with a personal mistake I made regarding rims I had bought at a different place. They made everything work for me today and finished very quickly. I highly recommend coming here for tires especially if you’re newer to owning a car.

If you need to remove a 14ply tire from a rim, this is not the place for you. They do not have equipment to remove a 14ply 5th wheel tire from the rim. I called first and was told that they could, and I drove there with the tires and rims. As soon as I explained my situation, they told me they could not help me. Hey Walmart, maybe spend a little training cash on your employees and they would know what they can and can’t do.

I got my oil changed at a very reasonable price. I got the high mileage oil and the mechanics did the job quick.

My family and I are here on vacation. Found yesterday (Wednesday) that we'd picked up a screw somewhere along the way, and we're only here through Friday. Called virtually everyone in the area, explained our situation, and was told no one could patch the tire same day. Obviously, not their problem, but this is our only vehicle, and it seems a bit ridiculous to have to leave our car for a day+ and rent another vehicle just for a simple tire patch.
I'd basically given up, then my wife said to try Walmart in Destin. I spoke with Lagreta, and she asked how soon I could get there. Upon arrival, I spoke with Lagreta and Tristyn. Lagreta explained to him she'd spoken to me on the phone and that they'd help me out. I had to hang out for a little while, bought a few things, visited the Subway, and then was out of there. My ticket says Ileana wrote it up and Benjamin W.was my tire tech, so huge thanks to them, too. Explained to Lagreta while I was there how thankful I was for their help. This Walmart Auto Center was a life saver.

Absolutely the worst place to have your car serviced in the area. Technician, whose wife has a baby she runs around barefoot with in the automotive center, breast feeding and tending to during the husband's entire work shift, managed to destroy a new tire while attempting to install it. That left us with a spare while another one was ordered. Then the issue arose with the inability for their technician to put the wheel sensor back on the new tire/wheel. In attempting to figure out how, the tech managed to drain our car battery, then literally pushed our car out into a parking spot and advised we take it to the dealership to get the sensor back in place and also get a new battery or possibly even a new alternator. All the while, absolutely nothing was wrong with the battery or alternator, confirmed by the hassle of taking it to the dealership. The problem was only the tech's incompetency. Lots of wasted time, energy, and money for nothing.
