Wantilan Luau reviews
7Very nice Show and the food very yummy. Service A+, a must do if you are in Orlando!
The food was amazing! Loved the ahi tuna and kimchi! The show was entertaining with various types of dancing.
3 stars really only for the dancers and show. We got lucky with nice seats. Food was ok. Had a few unfortunate issues with super fatty bits in the salmon and pork. Ruined my appetite. Kids buffet is better. Chicken was so dry it was inedible. Dessert was basic. Would not do this again.
It was def not premium if you pay the extra. We were shuffled around our table so many times. It took over 40 minutes to even check in and we missed the pre show fun at the croquet court. We were seated at a table and people took our seats and we had to be re-sat. Then it turns out the other people didn’t even belong at our table.
To get drinks was difficult and they kept “forgetting” our table. I asked ahead of time about mushrooms and onions and they said no problem. I got there and almost everything was mushrooms and onions, I had to eat at the kids table.
The entertainment was amazing and absolutely spectacular. Don’t waste money for premium because you get the exact same as everyone else but a cup as an upgrade.
Food was OK, Mai Tai was not good. Red wine was nice. The show was great. I went for my birthday and they asked me if I was there for a special occasion and then everyone was recognizing but me. Just a bummer. The worst part was trying to get out of the parking. What a hassle. I’m local and I love to bring my guests to Orlando to some place fun. I don’t think I will come back. So sad, I had high hopes.
We paid extra for better seating but were put in the far back. The table was packed and my partner couldn't even sit at the table due to space. He had to put plate in his lap.
The food was awful. The teriyaki chicken was hard and dry. The vegetables were cooked until limp and resided in an oil puddle. We ended up eating the uncrustable pb&j from the kids table. The drinks were not good either. Ended up just sticking with water after trying the white wine and the mai tai (both tasted like they came in boxes on the bottom shelf of a gas station).
There was no fire dancing or fire poi, despite them showing it on the web site. The dancing overall was not particularly skillful.
For $102 per person, we could have at least had a nice dinner and drinks somewhere else.
It was a great event to celebrate a birthday or any other special occasion. The food was very good and they had plenty for young guests as well. The host of the show was funny and engaging. The show was very entertaining and the last act with the fire was excellent. We met many people there that have been at the luau before and came back again. I would definitely book it again on my next trip to Orlando.
