Waterchase Apartments, Largo FL

As a 27 year old female, I feel absolutely safe living here. I’ve lived here a year now & just renewed my lease! I’m not going to lie, I think it deserves a higher rating then it’s currently at because I’ve never had a problem with maintenance, pest control or having anyone answer my phone calls/emails. Pools are well maintained and other dog owners are really cool. Everyone who lives here is professional & 20-30 year olds who keep to themselves. My only problem is pest control comes every 2 weeks because of the palmetto bugs, but you can have the cleanest apartment in the world & still have them come in… it’s Florida… what do you expect. Overall, I love that it’s 5-10 minutes away from everything. And IRB is 10 minutes & Clearwater Beach is 15 minutes. Can’t beat it.

My husband and I Have always owned our own home, so this is our first experience with apartment living. We have very much enjoy this complex. The people have been very friendly, the staff And maintenance crew have been very responsive, friendly and professional. Extremely disappointed with the way we were treated at this apartment complex. They were nice before we applied. Unfortunately our original application was denied because of one minor error, and from then on they treated us like we weren’t good enough. They didn’t respond to our questions, were very short with their replies, and basically refused to work with us to resolve our issue. It felt as though they are only nice to you until your application is placed. Fortunately we learned our issue was minor and easy to resolve, and we found another leasing company that was willing to work with us. At the end of the day we feel like we dodged a bullet by not leasing with this company.

I moved less than a week ago into Waterchase apartments, from New York! It was concerning making such a big move without seeing the actual apartment unit [occupied], but the leasing representative Robin went out of her way to make sure my apartment was perfect for me. Their lead maintenance guy Joe just came by very shortly after I noticed a small hole in the screen to my balcony/lanai, and is fixing it for me in the next couple days. Very clean, very quiet community, just what I was looking for! Thank you Waterchase for making this next step in my life seamless)

Moved in about 2 months ago. Dead German roaches in all the cabinets when we moved in, at least 4 bodies. It was only a few days before the live ones came out of the woodworks. Absolutely filthy move in conditions. Only took a few weeks after the roaches were treated for ants to move into the pantry. I’ve already submitted 5 requests for help with the pests, and we are still dealing with the issue. I shouldn’t have to scrub down cabinets the day of move in. Attached move in condition photos, complete with dead roach. Still dealing with ants, we’ve called/stopped in 4 times within the past two weeks.
Also, little to no parking nearby the apartments. You will consistently have to park a few buildings down if you aren’t home by 6PM nightly.
Office staff is nice, but seems disorganized.

The air conditioner in a "remodeled" unit should not have mold infested gunk built up in it. Had to clean it myself because the last time I let a maintenance person in they broke the drain on a brand new tub.

It is very pleasant to live here. The apartment has tons more room than you would imagine. I moved from a 3 bedroom 2900 square foot house, sold off the third bedroom item and few other things, and was able to fit it all in here. The storage closet off he patio is very spacious and was the difference maker in whether I would have to rent a storage unit (I didn't have to!) Maintenance is quick and cares about doing a good job. The front office staff are some of the nicest you'll ever meet and also cares about making sure you are a satisfied customer. Three pools, doggie park, playground, tons of important stores and restaurants just around the corner and the beach is less than a 10 minute drive away. It's quiet here; the mix of people range from young families to retirees but everyone is respectful and neighborly. No regrets - here is where you want to be if moving to Largo.

If i could add 0 stars I would. If you have a family, this is not a place to move into. Cops are showing up at all hours of the night, nothing seems to go right here. Its just overcharged and outdated.

None stop construction for the last 9 months. All day, every day. Feels like I live in a construction site. People in my apartment 5-6 times, people upstairs throwing things off the balcony and leaving broken glass by my front door, music blaring from the workers. Cant wait to move.

Apartment is beautiful but with the never ending construction, to management or whoever having to come into my apartment every other week for something, to my back porch not being fixed for over a week, to getting a letter saying they will not renew our lease without any reasoning at all, I would suggest nobody move in here.

The complex is nice and everything but not worth the endless construction that’s going on with no warning. For hours on end almost every week. It’s ridiculous when there’s still people working from home.

I moved into the Waterchase apartments in November and I have had a great experience so far. Sabrina helped me find my apartment and she was so helpful and patient with all of my questions. I would totally recommend!

Stayed here for 6 years. Good place to live. Nice, friendly, and for the most part, quiet people.

The professionalism upheld by the office staff is embarrassingly absent. I’ve addressed many disheartening situations to the managers & office assistants about the overall complex, installations they failed to schedule etc, and the staff has made very it clear they are not interested in finding a remedy or solution to any issue I’ve expressed. By far the worst apartment complex in Largo. If I knew before signing my lease that the overall staff does not have the best interest of their residents I would have never chose this complex to reside in. Other than the staff my unit is amazing and there are lots of empty parking spaces.and that’s the only positives I have to say. Save your money.

The office staff is kind and professional. I did have a couple of standard maintenance issues and they were fixed the morning of the next business day. Maintenance is friendly and they took the time to explain the issue and how they are fixing it. The neighbors are friendly and we have no complaints. It is quiet here as well. The only concern I have is the washers are not very clean. I am not sure if the complex takes care of that or if we as tenants clean the machines.

My Apartment Complex literally has the worst customer service. All in all I have written 2 Formal Customer Complains to MGMT and Corporate. Randomly been without AC since Sat and they are still trying to find out who needs to fix it or what is going on. As for the holes drilled in my ceiling from roofers this week: they said they were going to leave them there until all projects were done - I hope it leaks due to their negligence. I had to leave my home because my animals wanted to eat the debris and I didn't know if they were going to keep drilling holes. Also, no AC. So, I'm STILL away from home.

The overall social condition of the complex has been getting worse - I am unsure how well the background checks are done.
Lived here going on 2.5 years now (not consecutively) & Brittany Bay in Largo was less sketchy a few years ago than this place is now. Cops were always there, & now cops are always here. There is clearly an issue going on which is just happening during broad daylight and no one cares. Some dude here stole a whole car and got taken down by the cops. Break-ins have happened within the past few years, gunshots. Someone tried to break in my door when I initially lived there - was taken down by the police.

Sort out ya stuff, Waterchase. Looking good from the outside does nothing when your residents want to give you bad reviews. I miss the old Waterchase this new Balfour Beatty Communities Company that bought over the property and made it worse sucks!

In the photos (which are just some) you can see druggies taking naps by the pool, grass that is hot and smell like pee, & my ceiling which matches my broken A/C. Hey that kinda rhymed!

I've lived at this complex since October 2019. I have never had any issues, nor complaints. Nothing has been broken in my apt or caused an issue. Anything that needed to be fixed was done within hours and they didn't leave a trace. Everybody has been kind and quick and understanding. I am looking into renewing my lease for another year, this time in a two bedroom. The grounds are kept clean and maintained, has three pools, and the lawns are always kept tidy. My neighbors are the sweetest and have never caused any issues or disturbances.

Do NOT move in here. Trust me! I have never left a review for any business before, but there are too many things wrong with this place. Save yourself the trouble! *Will update later on today with the disgusting details of this place*
