Waterfront Rescue Mission Thrift Store reviews
18 Very clean and organized store with shelves full of items from Adult and children clothes, shoes, home, yard art and furniture.
Very great parking and very friendly checkout young man.
I really try not to leave critical reviews but man this place is just disappointing anymore. The whole concept of a thrift shop is for finding deals. Whoever does the pricing here needs to reevaluate how they price. Items are priced higher than you can buy direct from eBay. I understand they need to make a profit but when you literally get your inventory for free it’s like come on. The store has this attitude like they don’t want you to find a good deal. It’s sad really, used to be a gem. The other locations are still super nice though!
Nice people. Found alot of good buys and great service. Will definitely go again when in this area.
They only get 2 stars because their fitting rooms are open. Crazy high prices. One season of dragon ball for $69 when you can get All seasons for 35 online. Like that's one season. Patagonia is a nice brand, yes. But a $30 used jacket for $50. Someone needs to realize that these items were DONATED.you got them for free. Trying to make Way too much for them.shame on you. Won't be back and will tell EVERYONE
Turned off lights at 5: 45pm, making it to where I had to use a flashlight on my phone to move around. If someone were to trip or otherwise get injured due to the lack of proper lights during hours of operation it will cost you dearly. I know Morgan and Morgan advertises about this specific scenario, and I'm personally not above suing for negligence. If your hours are until 6pm, the lights need to stay on until the customers leave
Expensive! Clothing prices are much higher than Goodwill. Charged $7 for an old, faded cotton long sleeve t-shirt because it was "long sleeve" (the same category as a dress shirts by their logic). Regular cotton t-shirts are also $4 each (you can buy colored shirts on sale at Walmart for $5)! They will advertise "Red Tag Sale" on all clothing, but nothing will actually have a red tag on the entire rack! I notice the Milton location also does this, advertising Red Tag Sale but then not having a single piece of clothing with a red tag (to trick you into thinking everything is red tag)! The only reason for 2 stars is because this store seems more focused on non-clothing items, which is worth going through. Cashier/associate also had an attitude when I inquired about the red tag sale and was very snippy. Paying $19 after tax for 4 used, faded cotton t-shirts is pretty ridiculous.
2 stars simply for the employees. When did an IKEA baby toy become $20 at the thrift store? A bra is $4! Literal used underwear is $4! Let me tell you the people who shop for underwear at the thrift store need it! They aren't there shopping like it's Dillard's. I can't afford to shop here anymore. Why is greed like this? It always hurts the less unfortunate.
**UPDATE**
I now have gone to this store numerous time and have to say, it is one of my favorite thrifts. The staff is incredibly welcoming - especially Ginny who usually works cashier.
They also have food brought in often for people in need & you can add a few dollars on your purchase to help provide meals to local families. I really appreciate the help to the community. Yes, prices are a bit steeper than other local thrifts but the items the have are in very good condition.
I truly do recommend this location since it has many items & and amazing staff.
*********
Pros: staff is very kind and helpful, store is quite large and has a wide range of items
Cons: The pricing is insane compared to any other thrift store I go to. They do have half off tags for the week but what drives me crazy is starting at the beginning of the week, they remove the half off tagged items and put them in a big bin that is almost impossible to dig through. I'd rather them just leave the discount tags in their areas or atleast hang them on racks so going through them is much easier.
Final thoughts- definitely not a bad thrift store but be aware the prices are quite steep
Horrible experience everything is retail price and one of the employees had the nerve to throw a coat hanger at me for bringing her an empty dvd case to show her it was missing won't return
It's a common theme for thrift store prices to be too high these days, and this place is no exception, but it's not terribly overpriced. It's clean enough and not too crowded to find things. They have regular sales and sometimes I find deals. I've never experienced any rude staff here and I've been in a hundred times. It's not my favorite thrift store, but it's probably the best in gulf breeze.
Rude staff, rude prices!
Prices are WAY too high, workers are super busy visiting with each other or being passive aggressive to customers. The checkout lady at least was courteous. But there are way better thrifts store with larger selections and way better pricing.
Great bargains and an opportunity to bless those less fortunate in the community. Friendly staff is always a shopping plus
Donations accepted at all locations. Drop off from 10AM to 4PM. They will pick up but may take a couple weeks to schedule.
Prices are higher than a lot of thrifts I've been to. Store is a complete mess! Super overwhelming.my daughter gets an anxiety attack whenever she is in this store. It is kinda hit or miss.the staff is friendly, but often just want to visit with each other instead of helping customers. I have been here 3 times.while I have found a few things, I have been to way better thrifts.
My girls and I have a monthly “thrift” day. This will be one of our regular stops. Found a home for two mermaids
Prices were a little high for used items. However the store was well organized and easy to shop.
Unsure why the prices are new item prices for second-hand items. Was not looking for anything specific but for those who are in need and need a break on prices.this is not the place. They are forgetting their mission statement when marking items that are donated based on the "mission" statement.
First time here and it’s a very clean store that had tons of great treasures for affordable prices. I’ll definitely be back.
