Waters Edge Park reviews
18Comparatively affordable pavilion rentals to other parks, and they refund your deposit if you can keep the pavilion the way it was when you got there. Very accommodating and simple process. We go here all the time to enjoy the park as well.
The park is nice, but because of the area and nearby schools, the kids area seriously needs to be upgraded to attract more attention. The kids area at Betti Stradling Park in Coral Springs for is a good example, the other is Welleby Park, in Sunrise.
When is the splash pad getting fixed. Nothing is being said on a y Facebook page about it and I can't find any Info online or at the park. It has been like a month closed but quite no info.
Came for the swing zip line, but there’s no swing. Disappointed. We’ll try to come back another day so our kids can try it.
Shaded playground and half of splashpad. Plenty of room even if it's crowded and picnic tables and benches inside fenced splashpad area
Waters Edge Park is a beautiful and versatile park that has something for everyone! Alongside the amazing splash pad, you'll find a wide array of amenities to enjoy. Take a leisurely stroll on the walking path, or get active at the exercise station and basketball court. Kids will have a blast at the playground and kiddie splash area.
The playground is shaded and truly amazing, offering an array of climbing equipment, thrilling slides, and swings for all ages. It's the perfect spot for kids to let their imagination run wild and have endless hours of fun. However, currently, the zip line swing is down (hopefully just for maintenance, and it will return).
For those who love sports, there's also a volleyball court to enjoy. When it's time to unwind, there are plenty of benches and pavilions where you can relax and have a picnic. And if you fancy a barbecue, you'll be pleased to know that there are charcoal grills available as well.
Need a break from all the activities? Head over to the fishing dock and try your luck catching some fish. And the best part? The park provides clean and well-maintained bathrooms for your convenience.
With such a wide range of amenities, a fantastic splash pad, and an incredible shaded playground, Waters Edge Park truly is a must-visit destination for families and individuals alike. So, come on down and experience the joy and refreshment this park has to offer!
Great place to let the kids run around and get some energy out in a beautiful and clean gated area. We went to the Splash Park with a 1 year old and a 2 year old and both had a great time. (splash areas accommodate multiple acres). Also, they have shaded picnic tables and nearby Bathrooms for those kids who are still Potty training!
Diamond of a park, must visit! We were invited to a 6yr old's birthday party.hadn't realized there was a park down on 61st (even though we drive past the main road ALL the time). The park was CLEAN (one of the first things we noticed). They had a small basketball court for young kids. The park had an overhang for shade and some of the coolest slides and action walls to play on (wish I was young enough to enjoy, but the kids certainly were). They had multiple pavilions you can rent out with pic-nic tables. There is a large area dedicated to health & fitness with workout equipment, about a dozen different stations. It overlooks a waterway where you're allowed to fish (bring your poles). Cherry on top is the splash pad for the kids to stay cool while having fun in the hot Florida sun. I will definitely be back and would recommend to parents for parties in the near future. Nice work Tamarac!
They can play on the playground and then go and get wet on the splash pad come back to the playground to dry off and then go home hours of fun
The splash pad is out of order. The kids are very disappointed. There is no sign when it will Open again
It a beautiful park very clean. You get the playground and a splash pad kids of all ages love it and enjoy it
This is one of the more bigger parks in the area. Each play area, that is the splash pad and playground, are fenced with lovely colourful, plastic fences to keep the kiddies in. The splash pad is quite impressive! No slides or house like structures. Just enough for toddlers to enjoy themselves. The playground has many different structures for the children to play on and is covered which is nice. The grounds are quite big considering it’s in the middle of a suburban area. There’s a basketball court and volleyball court complete with sand and a net. There is a workout station in the back. Some people bring blankets and sit on the grass to have a tiny picnic. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Parking is an issue though. There are only so many spots in the park, if it’s full you can park in the parking lot across the street by the school. This is a great place to tire your kiddies out!
Nice park. It has a gated splash pad, bathrooms, gated and covered playground, and open walk/play area.
Oh, and a sand volleyball court
Five stars is not enough. I drove from Cooper City while my 6 yr old niece was here from Georgia looking for something for my 4-year-old and her to do. We came on a Tuesday around 10: 00 there were a nice group of kid 7 kids at the splash pad by the time we left. There's ample parking and so close to the splash pad. It is so impressive and such an amazing day for kids. I would say the best age group is three and up. I cannot say enough about what the city of tamarac has done. It is so pain and beautiful
What an excellent fenced in FREE water park! There’s also a fenced in playground! Can’t wait to come back. Thank you Tamarac! Slam dunk. Seeing all the children playing together is so wonderful.
Update: I’ve called twice to ask if the fence has been mended, was told it had been. Arrived today for a planned gathering with others and was brought to tears. A mother can not chase two toddlers with multiple massive pieces of the fenced enclosure missing. Please fix this issue so the park can be enjoyed by everyone.
Update: I drove by in 2023 and the fence appeared to be fixed from what I could see.
Nice clean new park. The splash pad is very impressive and the covered playground is a fine dry alternative.
Update-didn't notice the basketball and volleyball courts last time. Very nice as well.
Excellent spot for kids. Not only is there a little splash pad but next to it is a full playground basketball courts and even volleyball. Been out here three and a half hours already so I know football season is officially over. So I had to take my little guy out to have fun.
We love this splash pad it's the best one we've been to. And it's shaded. The only con is there are like 3 tables.
