Watson Clinic Urgent Care Main, Lakeland FL

We're at 1 star which DOES NOT reflect the ONE doctor we visit in the Watson system. I'll review him independently because he deserves more.

If you are going to herd people at the front desk area at the entrance, you really should have people in place with an ability to work with the public in a respectful and appropriate manner. As a health care professional, I'm appalled by the actions of a younger, heavy set, light skinned female who would like to be anywhere BUT talking politely to guests. Had it not been for the sweet, dark skinned lady with longer dark, curly hair, we would have just walked out and hand delivered a results report ourselves.
You need to do better in an era of increased population in the area you're located.hire people who actually want to do a good job in such a pivotal role.
We'll be staying with the Baycare System and their affiliated hospitals for EVERYTHING we can do except for the one Dr we use with Watson.

Quantity vs quality. "we called on the 8th to reschedule" NO YOU DIDN'T! Already have to wait a month for an appointment, take time off work and can't even be seen. NEVER AGAIN

Watson clinic has everything you need for a medical visit in one spot. They do labs, x-rays, ect.all onsite. You get in and out in a timely manner.

Do not. I repeat, do not come here. This place is worse than the VA and that's saying something.

For months I have been communicating with my doc about peeing blood and other symptoms. Which resulted in lots of testing that reported several red flags. During this time I dropped in weight to the point that we started having discussions of a feeding tube.

What was shown on my labs was pretty clear. However, the doctor said I'm perfectly fine.

In what world is peeing blood or dark brown normal for months? Also when did it become normal for a doctor to just shrug and say I don't know?

I took all the same labs to a doctor on the other side of Florida and they had me on the road to recovery within a week. Turns out I have a autoimmune disease.

Because of this facility and it's incompetent doctors I suffered for months and would have Died had I gone in for surgery like my doctor cleared me for. In the world of medicine this is called a near miss.

I will be escalating this issue to the State of Florida but I seriously recommend going somewhere else. If you care about your family then get them quality care from doctors that don't just look for the easy diagnosis. It might just save your life.

I am appalled, as a healthcare professional, at the lack of treatment and care that was shown to my significant other at the Watson Clinic Urgent Care today. My whole family, including my SO, are active patients and use Watson Clinic for everything, and typically, we have received excellent service. However, in a moment when he needed urgent treatment due to some head pain and neurological symptoms, my SO was refused due to an insurance issue that could have been been easily resolved on the back end. He also offered to just pay out of pocket so that he could be seen. Instead, he was turned away by Watson Clinic Urgent Care staff and the administrators on duty. The care he received is in violation of the Patient Bill of Rights (posted right on their site and following Florida statute), namely that all patients have the right to the following two things:
Receive medical treatment or accommodations, regardless of race, national origin, religion, handicap or source of payment.
Receive treatment for any emergency medical condition that will deteriorate from failure to provide treatment.

Due to a vehicle issue, he instead had to walk a half a mile in the heat with his symptoms to the LRH emergency department to be assessed and receive treatment.

These types of situations are exactly why the public doesn't always trust the healthcare profession to have their best interest in mind. Watson Clinic should be ashamed of themselves for this situation.

Watson Clinic sent my step son for a nose swab at outpatient clinic on 540A after we had been in urgent care all night with all exams and test were negative. The doctor encouraged us to come back for a nose swab the next day. We registered as an outpatient and within 5 minutes we were out of the clinic. Then I recieved a bill for 700 dollars and come to find out the cost of the swab was 1200 dollars. It's incredible that no one at Watson clinic knew the price of this test and the other incredible thing is they thought I would pay for such an incredible expensive exam. Watson clinic is not an advocate for patients right when it comes to paying for this exam. They should notify patients when tests are this high of a cost. No more WC for me!

After the response was given below. I filled a grievance with the pt advocate and a board reviewed my complaint and said that I owed 700 dollars. Sorry Watson Clinic this would have been a good chance to get a 5 star review from me but just like the day I brought my step son for a 1200 nose swab no one imformed me or called me and got my side of the story. Thanks but no thanks.
Update the patient care representative called me and said A lot of people have had this trouble and the WC will take care of my bill. Thanks WC

All in one Medical center. The ONLY issue is their phone system. Not only do they take forever to answer, when they get your number for a call-back so your not waiting on hold, when the system calls you back, it places you on HOLD! Almost 2 more minutes waiting.

Amazing all in one compassionate care, by all. Thank you to Dr Anid Orbezo and Lisa RN who took the time to listen and explain everything. I'm not sure why I see some negative reviews, as we were greeted with smiles and treated with professionalism and concern by all. I would definitely recommend this clinic!

My mom is sick with a brain tumor and for months nobody called me. Now I get to see how long she has left to live.

Initially, my frustration was directed towards the unprofessional conduct of the doctor. Instead of resolving my concerns, the doctor recommended surgery as the only solution. It appeared to me that the doctor was uninterested in finding a better alternative, which I considered to be a lazy approach.

I was in town visiting from Kansas City. Check in a was a breeze, I was seen soon after, then X-ray people were great and Dr in the ER part was super nice and helpful. I very good experience.

When I scheduled the appointment they did not say a word about needing an xray because I had an MRI of my knee. When I got there they refused to see me without having an xray, so I had to use their xray office or reschedule my appointment. So I'm out more money because of this inconvenience. Totally ridiculous!

I went in because my leg had issues because of my DVT. Swollen, itchy, extremely sore to the touch and other. It's been an ongoing issue for the last 4 months. I've been here 3 different times for the same issue. I don't mind the wait because they have always been great. This time a Dr. Escobar wrote me a prescription for an antibiotic called Amoxicillin. Guess what, there is none available in the state of Florida and my pharmacy can't even order. So I called back today (1/19) to talk to the Dr. Apparently she's off today or otherwise not at work. AND NO ONE ELSE can write another prescription for something different. Of course the Nurse I spoke to knew about the amoxicillin shortage. So why would the Dr not know? Terrible service!

I was so happy with my experience here. I went in on a Friday evening and was out within an hour. All of the employees were helpful and took great care of me. Thank you!

Glad I came here to read the reviews. I have tried to get into Watson Clinic for specialty care, its impossible to get through to speak with someone and when you do its a call center. And then trying to get an appointment feels like you're trying to break into Fort Knox. You can't get anywhere. After reading the reviews here, probably a good thing that I have not succeeded in landing an appointment. Too much hassle when you're trying to get needed help to improve your help. The stress dealing with this outfit can't be good for my health.

Arrived for blood labs only at 8: 18 am / 40 minute wait to be called back / phlebotomist was great, no pain, quick, and professional.
