WellMed at New Tampa

I love the doctors here my only issue is instead of giving me something ice been on for a while they changed my rx which makes my BP even lower than it is.and does NOT work for what they intended the use for. Looks like a new appointment since they refuse to switch back smh.

Not sure why the ratings are so low. I have had amazing customer service from the front desk to the check out desk and with all the staff in between. Dr. Ford is the kindest, most genuine and professional doctor I’ve had. She truly cares about your concerns and takes time to explain and to answer any health concerns you may have. Great people here who truly care about you. I would recommend them over and over to all my family and friends!

Called and made a new patient appointment, ended up finding out I was pregnant before the appointment, came in to see Dylan and asked for Lovenox injections due to prior clot history and Pulmonary embolism. He told me to continue to take baby asprin and let the OBGYN handle all of that because he didn’t want to be liable. I couldn’t get in until 8 weeks to OBGYN as they won’t see you until you’re that far along for pregnancy. Went to the hospital Monday night with pain and swelling in my right leg. Turns out I have a DVT because I was not on lovenox injections. I am SO disappointed that you told me I didn’t need to be on them and referred me to hematology when you could have prevented me from having this DVT and another PE. Who would have been liable then? Hospital and OBGYN do not understand why you wouldn’t prescribe lovenox. I got it now in case you were wondering. I also called your office to complain and the receptionist (the same one with the attitude everyday like someone kicked her cat) was completely unhelpful. Said she would take a message but she didn’t. HIGHLY disappointed.

I cannot say enough how much I enjoy my medical visits with Jennifer. I have been a member of this group practice for over 10 years. Majority of experiences have been fantastic and have received excellent quality care. But Jennifer makes my visits educational and informational. And the compassion and care she has for her patients is very transparent.

Get rid of your outdated mask mandates. No other doctor's offices in Tampa require them!

Tried to schedule a appointment 3 times and the receptionist is always rude and unhelpful. Will find another Doctors office

Very pleased with my care. My provider, Cory Dowell, was competent and thorough. The other staff were friendly and helpful.

I told them I had abnormal high blood glucose level for couple of years, they didn't include HA1C in my lab list. Then my visiting lost a meaning, knowing that a simple blood test your average blood sugar levels over the past 3 months period. It seems like they lack basic professional knowledge as a clinician or they don't care how important you are when you put your health in their hands.

I see Cory at WellMed and have been very happy. I was seen curbside in January when Covid was spiking and it only took a few minutes for a Covid test and vitals check. I had a sinus infection and within twenty minutes, my pharmacy texted to let me know that my prescriptions were ready for pick up.

Because I had a cough (due to the chilly weather this week) they wanted to do curbside appt and take my blood in the parking lot. I was only there to get the prescriptions filled. This is totally unacceptable in my book. The other guy who was a head of me in curbside got a call. Moved his car and went inside. Since We’ll Med has taken over this family practice which I’ve been going to for 40 years the quality has gone done hill. This is not COVID related in the quality.

I needed to make an appointment for something I have going on and they fit me in immediately. I was greeting kindly and seen by Dr. Ford. All of the staff was kind and the appointment was quick. Rebecca was nice and had great customer service allowing my baby and boyfriend to come back so I could feed him. I would definitely recommend this office.

I cannot believe these terrible reviews! I see Jennifer the NP and she is good! Always get my prescriptions as needed! I am in good health so not much to go in for except blood work!

I have never in my life been made to feel like they have made me feel. I have great insurance and I came in concerned about chest pains, they sent me home with heartburn meds. I came back multiple times over a 6 month span, they finally ran a couple tests, then after having to to beg for an X-ray, nothing. After begging for more tests and help, and almost a week of back and forth with people calling me to scold me for asking for help, the literal word for word last statement said to me was “if you’re still having chest pains in six weeks, call us back” I now have a new general physician. These people are not concerned about your health.

Charged me for a screening I never asked for, and had nothing to do with why I was there in the first place.

Very disappointed in how office staff treats existing patients. Blames patient for their lack of action when new medications were needed. Office manager stated "maybe you should find a new doctor".

Moved to Tampa in 09 and well med location was my doctors office all along. Had several health problems and was under lots of stress and the doctor told me I couldn’t tell her every problem in one appointment. Been going there for so many years was hoping they would look out for me. I’m never going back here again. The quality of doctors has gone downhill since I began there in 09. They didn’t show me they care about me AT ALL and found a much better and caring

Wow. I've read 3 bad reviews and nothing else. I admit I ran across some young, shall we say.smarty pants, but I quickly put them in them in their place.and yes it was getting a presc.they wanted to play doctor. Just ask to speak to the little snots support and they shape up.but as far as the doctors go i only found one reject before I found the right one, dr Channels. She seems to be very thorough and patient. Let's don't burn the place down yet. Have a talk with someone if u feel if u r being mistreated. Or select another doctor.
