West Coast Builders, Punta Gorda FL

We are so happy we chose Sean Howard and West Coast Builders to build our home 10 years ago. We survived two hurricanes with very little damage. Sean stressed several important elements when building a home in SW Florida. New to the process we did what he suggested. We are so glad we did. One example is front doors that open out rather than in. It’s a must in our opinion. Our home stood like a fortress. We felt safe and secure. Thank you to Sean, Ana and their team. West Coast is the way to go.

17 years and counting and it still fells like a new home! Construction was started on my home in 2004 and was at block stage when hurricane Charley hit. This means that my home has technically withstood 2 direct hits from category 4 hurricanes. There have been a few other glancing blows through the years (e.g, Irma). After the longest night of my life we emerged on Sept 29th to discover that not only had the roof held there was very little evidence that the house had just been hit with 150 MPH winds for hours on end. The only really noticeable sign was a few blown out screens on the pool cage. The first words out of my mouth were "West Coast builders is getting a 5 star review! ".
Not only do they build a beautiful home, the quality is second to none. They are also very nice to work with. Sean saw me in the grocery store a few days ago and asked me how the house did. Again, my home is 17 years old and he remembered me and was caring enough to ask how the house did during hurricane Ian. Nice, nice people that build a heck of a house!

We chose West Coast after interviewing several builders. They have not disappointed. Every reference and our HOA ensured us that everything would go smoothly with the build.

In the process of building with Sean and so far is the best experience I've ever had. Looking forward to completing our dream house.

This home was our fourth new construction, so we understand the process. Sean Howard and his team of professionals were the best we have ever experienced. A '10' from start to finish. Even almost 2 years later, they are available for anything we need. I'd love to build again with them!

West Coast Builders built our home in PGI in 2015 and did a wonderful job. From the very beginning, starting with design ideas, latest innovations, increased asset value suggestions, etc, they went the long mile.
Quality of build and materials were the finest. Responsiveness to my designers (my wife) thoughts and wishes were very timely.
All in all, quality, timing thoughtfulness could not have been better. And, I believe, we got our bang for our buck! We found Ana and Sean to be exactly what we wanted in a builder. And continue to be so 5 years after job completion.

Sean took our basic ideas and made them great with knowledgeable, professional advice. His team of subs did the same with experienced sage advice. The construction quality was suberb with with detailed follow-up. Highly recommend the team and would build with them again.

West Coast built our home in 2015, but the care didn't stop with the completion of the build which was exquisite. The follow up for minor issues was second to none and when Irma came along Sean's folks were there promptly and whatever was needed was forthcoming. Since then there have been a few minor issues, but the follow up has always been there. Lynda and I would build again with West Coast.

We can’t say enough good about West Coast Builders. Since 2005 we have built 4 homes with them and with all four we received exceptional quality and service. Sean is VERY knowledgeable which helps to make the process easy.

Sean and Ana, and all of the contractors that work with them are the best that you can get. My wife and I looked at construction from Sarasota to Matlacha before deciding to use West Coast Builders. When I showed our plans to Sean I asked about a few methods for the very wide lanai open span. The moment I stopped talking Sean said "I'm going to put an 18 inch i-beam there". That was the premium option that I had been hoping for. He got the job with those words. West Coast is the only company that still pours a continuous cast lentil around the entire house. This house is a bunker. This kind of quality will help you sleep when the next hurricane comes along. They stopped by after Irma to check for damage. Other than a few uprooted trees the was no damage. I also remember Bubbie saying that the floor was flat and level to within 1/8 of an inch. One of our smartest decisions, and most consequential was to choose West Coast Builders. We've been in the house for three years and I'm still not finding any problems. I know that if one ever comes up that Sean will be there right away.

Building with Sean from afar was a pleasant experience. Being a general contractor in NJ for over 30 years I had the utmost confidence in Sean and his team to deliver a product we would be extremely happy with and he did not disappoint. Sean is a man of integrity who goes above and beyond for his customers, who become friends along the way. 5 years later I continue to recommend WCB and all have been extremely happy as well.
