Excellent place to pick up some seafood.
The staff there are very nice folks.
Prices are fair.
Plenty of parking.
Westcoast Seafood in Gainesville is a good place to get fresh seafood. Just remember that jt is a market and some of the items are only available if they have them in stock. If you are looking for crabs or oyster this is a good spot. For a bushel of crabs it is $150, which is really great for Pattie’s.

Been going here for years every Christmas time for bushels of oysters. Always good, people are super nice and helpful.
It was clean. Didn't stink terribly. It is a seafood market for sure. Wasn't terrible. The guy got me the best blue crabs he could. I bought a bushel. They were really good. He was very kind.
Fish is the only thing I would buy from here. Everything else is over priced. The place reeks, comes with being a fish market. Staff is friendly and helpful.
They use a slight of hand to sell you things and blacks are used to do it to their own. There are better places to shop. They hide the fish in the back so they can give you what they what. They used to have them in a display.
Bought a few packs of gator meat. Got home was gonna cook it and it was no good. Took the unopened packs back. They did not want to refund the money. Won't be going back.
The freshest Blue Crabs around. I drive from Ocala just to get mine. Never had a bad experience always big and meaty crabs
