West Park, Tampa FL

What a wonderful treasure for Hebrides and I. It is large and shady with a water station for hosing off or getting in the tub. I have learned that this is Tampa's first and oldest dog park. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

It's a huge dog park! There's so much space for dogs around, especially if you have dogs that like to run and you worry about them twisting a wrist or ankle while making sharp turns in tiny places. There's ample shady spots, water, doggy bags and trash cans available as well.

One of the best dog parks in the Tampa Bay. The Tampa Bay Rhodesian Ridgeback Facebook group uses this park for a monthly meet-up.

Lots of shade, huge park. They have hoses, and a tub for dogs to cool off. Playground right next to it.

I went to West park dog park to adopt a beagle from Tampa bay beagle rescue. Great place for dogs to run and play.

We have visited the dog park several times. It s big, has porta potty, water fountain for the dogs and a pavilion. Folks tend to watch their dogs, which is nice. It is a huge property for dogs to run and exercise. We have really enjoyed it.

This is the biggest dog park in West Tampa. Nice open green grass and shaded areas with small dog side and a kids playground nearby.

Best dog park in the Tampa Bay area. Always clean and other dog owners are respectful. A lot of room to roam around. They have two sections so if you have a smaller dog they don't have to mingle with the large dogs.

A dedicated group of dog owners frequent this park. Most are very responsible and keep the grounds mostly free of "land mines". I have small dogs so my experience pertains to that side of this very large park. The big dog side appears to operate similarly. I go there at least once a week.

Just took our little dog Polly to the West Park Dog Park for the first time. Found the people there very nice and friendly, and responsible about looking after their dogs. Polly had never been around multiple other dogs before, but she got along very well with the other dogs in the small dog area. We were really pleased for her to have an opportunity for socialization.

My girlfriend and I visited the dog park and had a blast! All the dogs were playing together and enjoying themselves. Plenty of doggy poo bags to use as well as ample water resources. Will definitely be returning!

Plenty of room for canine antics. The day we were there all of the dogs and people were very nice. A lot of shade and plenty to explore for the doggos.

Large, expansive area for dogs to run around. Some people were not doing a great job of watching their dogs and allowing rough play.

We love this place but only being able to take my dog at 7pm its already to dark and feels a bit unsafe. I would appreciate at least 1 light pole so at least it isn't so dark.

Nice dog park and nice owners. Big dog area is really big. Small dog area is good size. Planes are landing and taking off all the time overhead but noise is not overwhelming.

Most owners pick up after their dogs, but it only takes a few lazy people to ruin it for everyone.
