Worst service ever. I waited in line for 3 hours with my 4 months old baby. Security was rude. I stepped out of the line a little bit with the baby stroller and the security yell at me like I was a criminal. They didn't even care that my baby was crying. So rude, and slow service.we found out that only one window was open for passport. And to make it worst, I needed to change my baby and it wasn't a changing table in the bathroom. WORST place ever.

Arrived at 730am for a 8am opening with approximately 30 persons already in line. (we were getting passports)

We finally left at about 11am

. 1 Wear comfortable shoe long standing with little to no seats

. 2 Ensure you have a money order and or cheque ONLY to pay for passport $130 and passport card $30 a check/money order per applicant
& they have a separate processing fee you can pay with cash or card

. 3 They take pictures at location $15.00 if you need that can be paid with card

4. Once you get inside you join another line to get into the passport line after clearing security.

Overall staff was pleasant

Would have had a better experience if the process was faster.

We have been waiting in line for our passport for over 2 hours and we are still in the line outside the building. Incredibly slow process. Don’t come here for your passport.

Super stupid process and service here. They have more people for security to tell you to move out of the hallway, but only two people processing passports with a huge line… the only nice people were at the front main entrance for security check.

I had a complicated passport renewal and the ladies (Janicia, I believe) here checked and triple checked my information to ensure I was good to go! She was so great and cheery through the whole process. Go early, and keep in mind that they’re moving people around, covering offices they know nothing about to accommodate the sudden influx of passport applicants. Have some heart and share some patience…

Great customer service, very professional.
It is 100% recommended to use a rental dumpster! We have had no problems with them. They always arrive on time. They also excel at customer service. Mariela and Melissa can help with anything, including dropping the items off to collecting them. They take good care of the containers and are clean, well maintained, vandalized-free. Highly recommended

My husband and I both came to apply for a new passport on a Monday. We arrived at 8: 15a, left at 10: 15a. The employees were kind, and answered all our questions. Just make sure to have all your documents (and marriage cert if your name changed) and you should be fine.

Passport Renewal: This is the most understaffed, disorganized courthouse I’ve ever been to. Be prepared to wait hours (we waited over 3 hours and arrived first thing prior to 8am) More people were sitting around doing nothing than actually processing applications. There are so many very obvious way to make this place run better, but it is crystal clear they do NOT care. If you can at all help it, go somewhere else to get a new passport/passport renewal.

Disgustingly slow. I sat down in line and fell asleep for an hour and the line still hadn’t moved. Can’t stand the government.

I will say that not everyone in this office is bad because some do help, but there is some people in this office that need customer service. They don’t care if you have kids or not. I have two babies In this office and I they told me twice that I had to te do my passport papers and go back at the end of the line. There is no one there to help you before you talk to an officer. If you do a sigue mistake you have to corrected but you have to do the line again. I did the line 2 times and almost 3, because they don’t explain well. If obey they know that really doesn’t help much. Instead of finishing with one client, no they do it differently. There is a woman there that likes to take to much breaks and and out of 12 windows there is only 3 people working there. But one of them like to go on breaks to much. I remember that I was going to be my turn, and the 3 of them looked at us with kids and one of them closed the window and the other two divided to call pole on the other line; people that came after us. I was really disappointed. If you go there make sure to have your paper corrected. And make sure to bring food just in case

Long lines due to inefficiency and incompetence. You go inside and are instructed to take a number.the person giving you the number then jokes how it's going to be a long wait (sometimes hours). That ticket person/greeter then sits down and does nothing while you wait for several hours in line. Once it's your turn to finally go to the counter to have your passpport processed, god forbid you have one mistake on your form because youll have to fill it out all over and the people behind you will take your place in line and youll have to wait even longer!

Here's a bright idea.how about that useless person that is greeting and handing out tickets go down the line to check forms and see if theyre filled out correctly? How about installing a monitor that plays a video on repeat instructing people on common mistakes or things you will need or how to fill out your check while waiting those several hours in line?

If the building feels that a giant exit sign is necessary to instruct people how to get out of the building maybe it could also find ways of instructing the public how to fill out their forms properly and reducing times in line that their workers seems to joke about on a regular basis

The review is based on the passport renewal service. Extremely inefficient process and staff. They take over one hour per person. Unfortunately they dont have appointments and falls back to the inefficient point I made. Better off they automate everything and put robots bc the people that work these jobs are a big part of the problem too

5.27.2022- I try to be fair in these types of situations because it’s almost impossible to please anyone.but this is a trash process & wait time. Courthouse should be much more efficient than this. This isn’t a free service…I do appreciate the ladies who came out to the line to make sure Everyone’s app was filled out correctly. 3 hours and counting…still here waiting. I’d choose elsewhere if anyone is trying to get or renew passport.

5.27.2022 UPDATE: After 4 hours made it to the window, she told me the forms online to renew or get a passport are not the correct ones. So save your self sometime folks and just pick up the correct forms from the courthouse or passport agency before you wait on this line at this location. I also had the incorrect money order amount based off the website so the website needs to be updated and I had a minor error on my application. Apparently your application has to be perfect per they're guidelines.considering the minor error it seems silly I wrote USA in an address line when I should have left that out? Just silly. Only good professional courteous thing about today was the clerk didn't make me go back into that line, she just said go get your money order refill the appl and come back to the window. The guy managing the line also made sure to remember me when I returned. I thought that was pretty cool to an otherwise truly awful customer service experience that you pay for.

If you can avoid this location and go elsewhere YOU SHOULD! There are other less of a wait locations I hear. I came here because this courthouse location used to be great.quick in and out service. I don't know what happened. I guess the word got out and ruined it. Plantation in it self has been on a decline for a few years now anyway so not surprised.

I went to this location after not being able to get an appointment to renew my son’s passport anywhere within a month. I got there at 755 am and there was a line already. I do recommend to go early because I had to wait about 90 minutes to get to the window but also there were a lot of families. Once I got there Ms Doreen was wonderful, very pleasant and professional. She allowed me time to fill missing sections and even took a new picture because that the one I brought had the hair covering my son’s face. It was a great experience specially after dealing with multiple rude government employees in other facilities.

Today it was terrible.over 4 hours to get to submitt passport applications. I have been here before for same task and this is the worst.

Everything is great. UP UNTIL you get to the window for Passports. These days you can't get an appointment at ANY USPS for a passport, so I was forced to go here for a walk-in. Nobody tells you that they will only stamp your application if you're travelling within EXACTLY 14 Days. Not 16, not 10, not 12, EXACTLY 14 DAYS. And apparently the Hillsboro courthouse is different rules.
How and why is this even that way? Very frustrating

The waiting period is long but once you get to the service window. The service is quick, and the staff is friendly.

This place is awful. They have no regard for your time and the workers couldn’t care less about you. After you wait over an hour in line, they’ll gladly send you to the BACK of the line for the smallest error that could be quickly filled out in front of them. I hate these guys!
