Had a great experience with doctors Awad and Chan at this practice. It's been over 5 years and time for a colonoscopy! Going back to doctor's that I trust.

I recommend looking for an MD that is board certified in Lifestyle Medicine as well as Gastroenterology, if you want to get to the root problem of whats going and avoid being put on prescription meds unnecessarily for as long as you accept this band-aid treatment that has become acceptable practice. Dr. Amir Awad was nice, but after multiple visits and trying different prescriptions we did not make any progress in determining the underlying cause or what to do differently to better reduce my symptoms. Luckily I learned about MDs that are also board certified in Lifestyle Medicine, and after working with a few, I no longer rely on prescription medicines, my pain is reduced significantly, and my intestines are finally starting to function normally. I hope this practice chooses to learn more about what causes the issues they treat, so they may help their patients long term, instead of provide superficial relief.

I recommend you to give CUSTOMER SERVICE trainning to the people who answer the phone it was very rude and unprofessional I was trying to make an appointment but when somebody treat you so bad by phone I Preffer looking for another option. Maybe the doctors are good but I guess I’ll never know. After my disgusting experience by phone!

Staff is nice and Dr. Mendoza listens to all your problems. He has excellent bedside manners.

My husband had an endoscopy scheduled at 530AM one morning, so we got to the outpatient clinic at that time only to be told that we had an outstanding balance and that would postpone our appointment time until it was paid. No one ever called us to notify us of this outstanding balance and we ended up sitting there until 7AM when someone at Dr. Mendoza's office arrived to work. I suggested that I could pay the balance when Dr. Mendoza's office opened but that was not an option. Please keep in mind this doctor will want your money up front before such services are rendered. We were so disgusted with the way that we were treated and we found a new doctor.

Great office! Doctors and staff care and are efficient. Douglas is awesome and I've been very happy with Dr. Chang for the past 4 years.he is ever through and never rushes. I never hesitate to refer to Westchase GI!

Dr Chang brushes off concerns. They’re always running an hour behind schedule, even right after they open for the day.
