Westchester Funeral Home Memorial Plan reviews
10 I want to express the excellent care this funeral home gave us.
Diana de Armas and her staff are extremely professional and caring. We buried our mother last week, and at a time when we were emotional and full of anxiety, Diana guided us through the decisions we needed to make so that we had a good experience. They made sure everything was taken care of to our satisfaction and to the last detail. We were also extremely pleased with the Reverend Luis Ramon Lopez, who Diana obtained for us for the wake and burial. His words and prayers were thoughtful and resonated with us. Both the wake and burial were beautiful and we felt my mother would have been very pleased, just as we were. Thank you again!
There are no words to express all they did for our family. Diana De Armas is extraordinary. They guided us and took care of every detail during a very difficult moment in our life. The Marrero family thanks you from the bottom of our heart. May God bless you.
The funeral director, Alfredo, was professional and available at anytime for assistance with the services. The staff on the day of my mom's funeral were extremely professional and courteous. Thank you for making this difficult process a bit more manageable.
Memorial Plan Westchester, in particular Alfredo Carbonell, handled my mom’s final arrangements with compassion, understanding, patience and flexibility. Regrettably, because of the Covid Pandemic, we could not be there in person. Alfredo recognized the dilemma we faced, he took the time to explain everything, and offered options to make us feel more connected. His guidance and handling of the arrangements, clothing pick-up, necessary selections, flower choices, virtual viewing, burial, etc.were very comforting to our family.
My wife's step mother passed away while we were in town visiting. With only a day before we were due to return home, we contacted Jacob Howarth and the staff to help my father in law with arrangements. We called several funeral homes before finding Memorial Plan. Jacob was very personable and professional and was able to meet with us the same day. Being from out of town, and no prior arrangements made, I was concerned about encountering a "price switch" once we arrived to meet Jacob in person, however, he was true to his word and walked my father in law through every step of the arrangements. Also want to mention Jennifer who was equally helpful and worked equally hard to make a "rush" situation work.
My grandmother passed away mid August, Jacob Howarth was our funeral director, he was so professional and articulate. It was nice to have someone like Jacob to help our family during our loss. I would recommend him and the funeral home. Everything turned out just like she wanted. Thank you Jacob, you are an asset to this team.

Even though this was a heartbreaking time for our family, we always felt taken care of. It was evident that we were in the best of hands. The entire staff was more than willing to tend to our needs, especially the manager, Diana De Armas who personally made special accommodations for us. There is no doubt we would use their services again.
My family has used Memorial Plan Westchester funeral home for services a few times. To say the staff goes above and beyond is an understatement. Diana, the director, was incredible not only with the arrangements, but with her constant compassion every step of the way. Thank you for treating us like family.
My grandmother passed away almost 1 month ago so I’ve waited to be more rational and logical before I wrote this review.
The morning after her passing we went to the funeral home to meet with the funeral director and finalize the arrangements. We met with Alfredo. First of all he made us wait 25 minutes, after finally asking us in he never apologized for the delay. While looking down at the computer keyboard he said “I’m sorry for your loss”. He never even raised his head and looked up at us. Everything went down hill from there. Just to give a few examples, we told him we didn’t want a crucifix in the chapel due to our religion, with an attitude he answered “ I know what I have to do”. Of course, the evening of the viewing when we walked into the chapel there was a crucifix over the casket. We were in his office for over 1 hour. At one point I said I was lightheaded and needed a drink, he didn’t even offer water, instead he directed me to the “ snack room” down the hall and to the soda machine. When the meeting was over he never said goodbye, thank you or even walked us out. Many diplomas on his wall but not a drop of tact, courtesy, manners or professionalism.
