WGV Baseball Academy, Inc., St. Augustine FL

Signed up for four days of what was advertised as a "Christmas Baseball Camp" for $150. This is a baseball academy which teaches baseball, so hey. I assumed my child would have been given hitting/fielding lessons during this camp. This camp was run by what appeared to be two teenage boys. At no time did I ever see any instructors or coaches teaching any of the kids real, actual baseball.

Upon picking my son up each day I asked what they did and nearly every day he said they played whiffle ball (or "wall ball" as he called it). For at least 3 of the 4 days he never even used his baseball glove or his baseball bat. The last day I arrived early to pick him up and the teenage boys were hitting whiffle balls 100mph past the 6 and 7 year old kid's heads during a game of "wall ball. " I can't believe no one was injured and that a baseball "academy" would allow this to occur.

Hate to give a local business a bad review but I feel very duped here. This was advertised as a baseball camp yet it was more along the lines of a whiffle ball daycare. For $150 I expected more. We won't be coming back.

Great experience at a real nice facility. Coach Kyle does a great job coaching my son.

Great facility with a fantastic staff. They know their stuff and how to communicate to players of all ages.

My son has been taking private lessons with Coach Kyle for about a year and it has done wonders for his form and performance.
