Whataburger, Defuniak Springs FL

As Texans recently transplanted to the Florida Treasure Coast, we made it a point to stop and get our Whataburger fix. HUGE restaurant with overflow parking and outdoor seating. Our meals were hot and fresh and the service was outstanding! Husband ordered an A-1 Thick and Hearty (not on the posted menu) but they made it anyway. Manager stopped by to check on us and when he found out that my husband's burger did not have grilled onions he insisted on remaking it for him! This is what every Whataburger should be like!

This location was very busy at 12 noon. However the staff handled it wonderfully. Bathrooms were still clean, the line moved and no complaints.

It was very busy, but they still managed to get everyone's order taken in a timely manner. The food came out pretty quickly, hot and delicious.

It's alright. The A1 burger was basically a soup with too much sauce. But they fixed the problem with no issues. Fries were horrible. So thats a three star for me.

Go there a lot but my visit this time was the worst food I've ever gotten. When you spend 40.00 for 3 people it needs to be fresh and hot. Went for dinner but usually go at lunch. Lunch time has always been excellent with food hot

Fast, friendly and clean. Asked if I needed things I had forgotten to ask for. Great burgers and onion rings.

Waited in car line for over 30 min, then they didnt give 2 Apple Pies, 6 cars who waited in line also, had all their orders messed up al as o, very in normal for this establishment, the service was awful, not a good start for 2019

Normally stop here on our way out of town.so was surprised when I got food poisoning from the chop house burger. That's what I get for going on Thanksgiving I guess. Thankfully my daughter saved her burger for the next day.

Amazing food with matching customer service, Tony helped us with our meal and gave us Ritz Carlton type service. If you do stop by for a burger, order some pepper sauce with it. I definitely recommend it.

They have tables outside so we can sit and eat and not have to worry bout the dogs having to wait in the car while on road trips.

I like the old fashioned burger feel.the fries were good too. I'm new to Florida from California and it reminded me of the In and Out burger there. I'll go again.

The order was incorrect (2 times) Drive through was a long wait. One car didn't wait for their order (drove away). Employee at the window was very professional and courteous.

Food is good but each time I go it seems my order is always wrong. Either from being entered wrong at the register or done incorrectly in the kitchen. It's a waste of food. It is not a matter if me not caring for it. It is a matter of being allergic to certain things for me.like onions and mustard! I always make it extremely clear to please make sure those items are omitted from my food and why. Food comes out and I have either one or both on my food. Quite discouraging.

These people are ridiculous and how long they make you wait for breakfast. I was 4th in line and couldn't place my order. I sat for 15 minutes and no one moved. There was a long line when I left. Totally unacceptable. Don't waste your time with this place.

Who's turn to clean the Mens restroom?
NO ONE!
That was the nastiest restroom I have seen in a long time.
All bins were overflowing, code brown all over the toilet.
Needless to say, not going to eat at this dump.

Whole order wrong ordered a patty melt plain nothing but american cheese and got it fully loaded didnt know till we got home so called up they redid whole order but this time i think was the dirtiest.i ever seen a whatta burger

Food is very good but service is horrible. A district manager was in the store having a meeting with the employees and didn't care that the store was full of people ordering food. When is a meeting more important than the customers making your paycheck? Without customers you dont have a paycheck.

Whataburger is a treat for us Georgians that don't have them. We stop by this this particular Whataburger every year when we go to the beach. This place is always clean and the people are super friendly.

Excellent fried onion rings. I also like the Jr burger with mustard on the side. That way I cn put just the right amount of mustard in the bun. They usually put too much.

Food was good, service very friendly. We were evacuating from the hurricane in Panama City, FL. We stopped at the Whataburger at I-10 and Hwy 331. It was amazingly crowded, since it was the first food place on a main evacuation route. The customers, including me, were in various emotional states due to the devistation of the storm. The wait in rhe drive-through was over an hour and people were everywhere. In spite of the chaos, the staff was efficient and soooo friendly. The girl working the drive-through window was so courteous despite what must have been an overwhelming situation. The entire staff did so much to get everyone fed and keep the crowd in order. Cant say enough about how well they managed the situation.
