If you're looking for a lawyer that is exeperienced, skilled, and will be straight-forward with you about your case, Jason Melton and the team at Whittel & Melton are your go-to. Absolutely no compaints about my experience. Top-notch in every way.

Day 1. Contacted Whittle & Melton, LLC. Emailed them all the information I had.

Day 6. After trying to wait paitently, I knew I had to follow up. This, after all is Florida, so I feel it's my job to make sure the people I am going to pay for are doing their job. Basically a little more concerned than they were at this point. I followed up, They said bring in the money! I IMMEDIATELY took the cash to them and received a receipt. Thinking: Any day someone will call.
Waiting. (insert crickets here, maybe a trio)

Day 13. Tried to call the office, (Once again, my job to follow up) during "regular business hours" all i get is the answering service. Now, I'm all for an impromptu office party. But please tell your answering service that No call will be answered on that day. No problem! At least your clients know! (At this time, you have been retained!) I am a client! Please let me know what is going on!
I take this seriously! Serious enough to pay for, and retain legal council! PLEASE CONTACT ME!
I'm just a stupid carpenter. But, I return a phone call. Or at least let people know why I cannot contact them at that moment. I'm busy. I'm up a 30' ladder and will call you later. I was just in an accident so I will be late. (My potential customer was my 2nd call after the accident) SOMETHING! ANYTHING!

All these correspondences I receive, from the court,
are time stamped and time sensitive. 2 weeks and I get the answering service. Are there a deadline here anywhere? Can I speak with an attorney?

Honestly, I cant thank Jason Melton enough. At a time where my family was at a loss on what to do, being put in a tough spot by those that were just trying to take advantage, I can't imagine how we would make it through without you guys! Informative, Helpful, Supportive and nothing short of a family type of relationship is what we've experienced with them and I can't think of anyone better to have leaned on through our recent situation. Thanks to Jason, Mark and all of you at the Whittel & Melton firm for your care, compassion, follow through and for being there for us when we were lost with only hope. You have done so much for us and all I can say to anyone else needing a defense attorney, you won't find anyone better than those at Whittel & Melton, and certainly not with the dedication to you as an individual and your well-being. The customer service was amazing. They answered all my questions, and helped me step by step through the process.

I was very impressed with the great advice I received from a free consultation and was just as impressed with how professional and respectful the staff was, certainly the best law firm in Florida.

The employees and staff are extremely helpful and smart when handling situations. They are professional and overall a great law firm.

As soon as I called Whittel and Melton I was treated like a priority. Very grateful for all their hard work and dedication.

A few bullet Points which will be in my reviews however may be out of chronological order.
• Attorney Greenberg was rude, inattentive and even let out a long yawn during our initial phone call at 3: 30PM January 28th 2020
• I requested an appointment with my attorney as I had not heard from the firm for well over a week advising me the status and how to lift a “no contact order”.
• Instead of an appointment as requested on Thursday January 23rd I was granted a phone discussion which took place on 01-28-2020 as noted above.
• I did not receive the phone call from attorney Greenburg as was told I would by Brianna, rather at 3: 45 I initiated the call.
• Briana was rude and Attorney Greenburg was extremely concerning as she treated me as an interruption of her day rather than expressing a concerned desire to help me. I had to ask twice if she was still on the phone.
• Attorney Greenburg actually told me to “go to the court house with my wife and fill out a form which would dismiss charges. LET ME SEE! I had a no contact order and if I did I would have gone to jail for this serious violation. REALLY! I asked Attorney Greenburg “did you even look at my file? ”
• Attorney Greenburg tried to be nice after I sited that the Florida Bar would be involved in a phone call a few days later.
• I don’t think attorney Greenburg or assistant Brianna actually possess the skill sets or ability to be compassionate, sympathetic and or unbiased.
• I was told on two occasions by Brianna that she was waiting on Pasco county via “snail mail” before she could give me any status or information.
• Late in the day on February 10th I quit relying on the firm and looked up my records on the site for Clerk of Pasco County Courts and found my records. I found records which clearly stated, dated February 7th that ”Sate Attorney Investigation, concludes that the facts and circumstances revealed do not warrant prosecution at this time”.
• On February 14th I received a call back from Ms. Greenburg and via voice mail was advised that the case was dropped and to call Brianna for an email copy of the document.
• I called the office at 11: 55 to ask for Brianna for the email and was placed on hold for slightly over 10 min. I hung up and called back. The receptionist said “oh Brianna went to lunch. I gave the receptionist my email and information on the call and asked her to pass it along to Brianna.
• I waited until 2pm for a call back. I never received a call back so I called again. After a 7min hold Brianna came back on the phone (with an attitude) and stated “I just got back from lunch I was going to email it now”. A 2 hour lunch ok, I don’t make the rules on lunches but you would think an office staff would be available to clients during normal business hours.
• It was 2: 35 when Brianna sent the email and I proceeded to return home after a month of NO CONTACT.
• If I wasn’t assertive and anxious to return to my family, based on the attorney and legal assistants lack of any concern for me as a client I’d likely still be waiting to hear from someone.
I could go on and I will. However my time is as valuable as anyone’s is in or out of your firm. I will elaborate depending on the response to this complaint.
I am not optimistic in a response based on responses to the negative reviews I have read after engaging your firm. The bad reviews have been addressed by the firm with what I would describe as direct “defense attorney” rhetoric and lacking in any form of apology and or empathy.
I am so very disappointed with my representation or lack thereof.
My greatest concern however is that less assertive and or perhaps naïve/intimidated potential clients will become victims of the incompetence.
I am of course embarrassed that I did not exercise diligence and read all reviews however Stephen Maiorino was so kind and reassuring on my initial call I decided to move forward with your firm.
