At appt, Dr. Gaya was running late & I could hear through the really thin walls when he entered another patient's room. He chatted with this man about all kinds of non-medical things like travel, hobbies, the man's wife's medical journey, etc. For over 30 minutes, he had a conversation with this man about everything other than why the man was there. So I thought, "wow, he's really friendly. " But when he got to my room, he wanted to get in & out as quickly as possible. I could only assume he wanted to make up for the 50+ minutes that he was now behind because of the long chat with the previous patient. He would not actually listen to anything I said - I would describe what was going on and at the end, he would ask a question that showed he wasn't listening at all. And then, he just wanted to write me a prescription for something to "try" and for me to go away. By the end, I got so incredibly frustrated that I actually cried, but he couldn't have cared less. I don't understand why he didn't care, but I was left out in the cold for no apparent reason. Very disappointing & now I am back to square one, no better off than when I first showed up at his office.

Unprofessional and rude staff. I was referred to Dr. Gaya by my cancer doctor in May of this year where they agreed to take me in as a patient, months went by, no appointment. The staff of the doctor that had made the referral had called me to ask if I had seen Dr. Gaya. I said “No, they wouldn’t give me an appointment. ” then, thanks to them, we had engaged in a three way conversation and, to my knowledge, it was recorded. The excuse that was given to me was that they needed more info from my doctor and I needed to do more paperwork. When my doctor’s staff had assured that they have given that info in May, I was told to do paperwork and that they receive new patients in November. I did that and then I was told I wouldn’t see the doctor till January of next year! When I asked why, no one would talk to me. I uncomfortably stood there and just left. The rude staff picks and chooses who to see the doctor and when. If you suffer like I do, good luck.

I suffer from persistent, idiopathic facial pain, which is nerve related this type of facial pain is usually off the scales. I want to see this doctor, and he didn’t even care to listen to me, or to help me wanted to throw me up to the University of Florida, which I already went down that path, and they could not help me, nor do they write out medication’s. The only one that can treat my disease is a Neurologist I needed pre-gabagetin which is generic for Lyrica and he told me it was against the law to write that out because I was on lorazapam so not true so what I’m saying here if you have trigeminal neuralgia or any kind, of facial pain this doctor will not help you don’t waste your time I would classify him as dogmatic if you don’t know the meaning to that, look it up his visit I couldn’t get out of my mind. I played it over and over. I was never treated so poorly from a doctor I live in ocalla Florida. The doctors here are horrible. The only one I can say that truly helps me is my PCP Dr. Fusco if you need a PCP I recommend him.

Dr. Gaya is a nice Dr. But if you need any information after the visit, forget about it. I've been waiting 6 weeks for my diagnostic report to be sent to my Primary Care Physician. He told me to get a brace for my carpal tunnel syndrome, but never indicated which one and my PCP has been trying to get the information for 4 weeks. Don't know what the issue is but I suspect his staff.

Dr a Gaya is a very nice man, but he does not dive deep into the TN that they say I have. He actually told me that I would never be cured and kinda was like that was it. Every time I ask him if he heard of a new treatment I heard of he says no. He rushes through our visit and just asks me if I need more medicine.
Staff is wonderful at the office.

Nice office staff. Dr Gaya is great because he's thorough and he actually talks to you and not the computer screen. Highly recommended.
