Windward Sailing, Fernandina Beach FL

These guys are awesome! I took my ASA 103/104 combined courses with them and had John Hodge and John Drake as my instructors. They were both really knowledgeable and patient while we learned the ropes. Would highly recommend taking ASA courses from this school, they did much better than my 101 class I took elsewhere.

Very nice sailing experience. Vessel was ready right on time. Great for just relaxing or learning more about sailing. Captain was very knowledgeable and is happy to teach or let you just enjoy the cruise. Did the 3 hour sail and had a great time.

My wife, daughter and I had a great 2 hour tour with captain Bill. He is personable and very knowledgeable about the area and about boating and sailing. Unfortunately we didn't see dolphins but we did see some of the wild horses and as a bonus, we saw a nuclear submarine coming in from sea.

Captain Bill! Exceptional captain. Wonderful 2 hour sailing trip with him today for my husbands birthday. It was a surprise for him and he really enjoyed it. Booking online was very easy! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a private sail. Wonderful time. Great company.

Coleman was our captain and what a nice man! He was full of knowledge and funny! My husband and I text Tony the evening before to book our 2 hour sail. Tony made it happen for us! We saw wild horses and dolphins! I highly recommend booking with them! Thank you for a great experience!

I've taken sailing lessons at several schools and Windward has been miles ahead. Really clean and well maintained boats. Tony was warm and accommodating. And the instruction was way better than what I had gotten at other schools. I wish I could redo all my courses at Windward.

Birthday Celebration for the books! Amazing experience. Captain John was an awesome sailor and guide and I'm sure we are his favorite first mates! Our sunset sail was beautiful and I would recommend everyone cast off with Windward Sailing! I don't know much about boats but the vessel we were on was fantastic and also had a restroom! A+ don't miss out. Must do on Amelia Island. Oh, we got to see Fort Clinch

I chartered a 34' hunter from Windward Sailing this spring break. My wife, two daughter and myself enjoyed 4 days sailing Cumberland, St Marys and the ICW. It is such a beautiful area. Plenty of transient sailors this time of year but still ample room. It is surprising that there is not more bareboat charting availability. I had to search quite a bit before I came upon Windward sailing and it's owner Tony. I'm glad I did! Tony is very nice, knowledgeable and accommodating. He made out charter a great experience. What a great experience! We decided to check into taking a brief boat trip during our trip to Amelia Island, but were wary of being on a crowded vessel right now. We are thrilled to have found Windward! Tony was so accommodating of our last minute request, and Captain John did an *outstanding* job during our tour. He was safe, knowledgeable, and very engaging. Our sons LOVED learning some sailing basics from John. It was definitely a major highlight from our vacation. Our only regret was not having more time to spend on the water!

My wife and I booked a last minute sunset cruise for our honeymoon. Our captain, John, was great and the event as a whole made for an unforgettable evening.

We scheduled a sail on short notice, and we were well taken care of. The 3 hr catamaran trip was fun and very informative with the area and the boat. We relaxed while watching sea life as the kids enjoyed laying out on front of boat.
