Winter Haven Police Department

My wife and I were visiting Winter Haven from ft lauderdale area since my mother in law lives there. We were in downtown and didn’t know where to eat or what was good, so my wife being who she is, sees an officer and asks, and Sgt Keigan, without hesitation walks around and tells us all the good places to eat, places that are so so, he was by far the most friendliest officer I have met, made my wife and I feel extremely safe and welcoming in a new town. Can’t file a police report for identity theft? So why do I pay taxes for you? This department is a disgrace.

Filed my first police theft report and within hours officer Zimmerman responded and located the stolen item. He was extremely efficient and responsive, and I felt respected. Amazing job done by the Winter Haven Police department!

I was just at the rec center on avenue t on a young black female was yelling and cussing. This was approximately 1530 hours. I didn't get the officer's name or badge number but he had short brown hair and a brown beard kind of thick he was probably about 5 ft 8. He didn't want to hear nothing I had to say I just asked the lady to quit cursing because I have my five year old boy. Officer said there's nothing I can do it's called freedom of speech.

In fact there was something he could do that's called disorderly conduct. I've been a big supporter of one of them Police department the sheriff's department and all the other local departments. And I really do not appreciate this officer blowing off this incident because he didn't want to do nothing.

I have worked side by side with you guys and 2015 and 2016 and 2017 when I ran security and now in case I deal with y'all and center for psychiatry at Winter Haven hospital.

I hope you can express this concern to your officers so that way next time they do the right thing. Yes we do have freedom to speech that is correct but you do not have the right to go around yelling at this calling people b and continuous language like this on and on and on that's not freedom of speech.

I hate feeling like I'm picking a fight with the department that I love so well and that I would serve but I hope that you will take the Spanish seriously.

Oh one.ore thing the officer rewarded her behavior with a fist bump! Statue 877.03 was the violation disturbing the peace.

Friendly and attentive personnel. The lady that took my finger prints, she's such a beautiful person. I was sent here from the Winter Haven HR Office, and it was my first visit. Thank you for you service, Winter Haven Police.

It's definitely a thankless job but that's the point hero's don't need praise.
You didn't put that badge on cause you thought it was easy.
It's cause you want to be hero's in your communities and help and aren't afraid to stand up to corruption and evil.
In all its manners and forms including amongst each other.
You all help to make winter haven a better place always remember that.
