Woodmere Apartments of Venice

FYI If you like your health do not move to Woodmere. I have been sick for two year’s straight. Andre informed me Woodmere will not test for mold. I have a white dust on my furniture, countertops and walls. I hired All Dry USA to inspect my apartment. Just as I thought. My apartment has toxic mold. My doctor advised me to move immediately and that’s just what I will be doing. See attached report from All Dry USA.

I have lived at Woodmere since 2019 and love it. The upkeep here is great. Office staff is very helpful. Based on my experiences with other properties, Woodmere is a great place to live.

Very, very well organized with an awesome staff.

After being here for over a year the maintenance has become non existent. The problem appears to be between the office and the maintenance staff. Issues reported to the office are stopped there. If, with a lot a lot of complaining, the work order reaches the maintenance staff the problem gets corrected. Glen is excellent. Bob does a great job keeping the building looking good. We had black mold in the master shower wall and had it repaired at our cost. We had no light in our master bedroom closet since December. We had to use a flashlight until we hired a licenced electrician to replace the fixture. Costing nearly $100. We lost our garbage disposal just before Thanksgiving. We were told they had none in stock. It did get fixed after 4 days when I told them that I would go to Home Depot and buy one ourselves.

This is a great complex with terrible maintenance. When we moved in in December 2020 the maintenance was outstanding; everything was taken care of that day or early the next. We are now waiting for the main spring in our garage to be replaced. We can't get our car in or move large boxes out. It has been close to a week.

Our rental fee just increased 16% for the year with no increase in amenities. I can understand and increase of 5% but 16%. No.

On Jan 1,2020 our rent was $1645; on Jan 1,2024 our rent will be $2170 or an increase of 32% or 8% per year. Average rent increase for Venice, FL is 4% per year. Our apartment is very nice but old. During the summer months the A/C runs 24 / 7 or until the evap ices over and we have to shut it down overnight. I am fortunate that I can do most maintenence tasks. The maintenance staff is very good and responsive. Overall the complex is good but I can not give it more than 3 stars with rental increase of 32% in 4 years.

I have lived here for 2 years and absolutely recommend Woodmere Apartments! Location couldn’t be any better being close to every major store.
The staff is outstanding and the maintenance team solves all issues immediately.

I was having some issues with bugs in my apartment, but they are now doing something about it and appear to take it seriously. They took the time to contact me about my old review and discuss my concerns with me, which I appreciated.

The complex itself is nice looking and the location is very good.

Maintenance staff outstanding always on top of your needs within 24 hrs, funny and professional.
Office staff great, friendly and helpful, try to meet all your needs swiftly.
All the employees here aim to please and add to the great atmosphere here.
Grounds so clean and well kept.
Pool maintained and clean, looks like a postcard here.
A real gem in the heart of Venice close to shopping and not to far are all the beautiful beaches.
Couldn't be happier here.

Andrea the property manager is nasty. She is disgusting as a human, told me if I turned my keys in by 12 I’d not have a extra day on my move out, and they charge me and say “we don’t do verbal” nasty scums will do anything to steal your money! Stay away. I have video proof of our talk and video proof of me being there on time that they say.

My lady and I moved here in August 2022, and we have LOVED every minute of being here! Woodmere checks all of our boxes, in terms of requirements!

First off, the Front Office team is wonderful! They're very cordial, kind and responsive to the requests of their tenants. Heidi, Anthony and Trista do an excellent job of responding back to tenants. You can tell they enjoy their jobs, because they're always happy to be there! That happiness shows in all they do! They're truly remarkable! If you need something taken care of, rest assured that it will be handled with expediency and the utmost care!

The grounds themselves are impeccably kept! Even after Ian, the property looked great! You can tell that the owner takes excellent care of their property! The pool is great too, always clean, a saltwater pool and refreshing! Plus, it's nice to be well off of Jacaranda! You have enough distance to where you're not hearing cars speeding down the roads at night. It's peaceful and quiet which is what you want!

You can tell that the neighbors enjoy being there too! People say hello to one another and are friendly! That in itself says a lot about Woodmere! The fact that people are happy with where they live? Wonderful!

Another nice amenity is that you're close to 41 and Jacaranda, so if you have Walmart and Publix within walking distance, and restaurants nearby. You don't have to drive far to get what you need!

In closing, we would definitely recommend Woodmere Apartments in Venice! The Front Office staff is the best I've ever seen at an apartment complex, the grounds are well-maintained and the fact that you're close to stores you'll visit regularly? If you're looking for the best fit for yourself, make Woodmere your one and only choice for apartments! You'll be happy you did!

We lived at Woodmere Apartments for 6 years and enjoyed every minute of it. Walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. Walking distance to the fenced in dog park. Heated pool and hot tub. Excellent maintenance team and I can’t say enough about the office staff…. Always friendly and helpful! Sad to be moving away from Woodmere but sadder we’re moving back up north.

I lived at woodmere for over 2 years and it was overall a great experience living there. Maintenance was incredibly quick to respond and all super friendly and professional. Apartments we’re very clean with a lot of natural light and grounds were always well kept. I would say the move out procedure was cumbersome and I get not leaving a mess behind in your apartment, but it felt like we were doing the job of people responsible for getting the apartment ready for the next tenants. Neighborhood was always super quite and residents were friendly. We moved Because of the increase in rent and the location but I would recommend living here if you want to live in Venice and you’re comfortable with the rent price
